Neilu those are some awesome tales and posters LOVE THEM😳Is samay they are in full boom in badrinath😳 and other higher altitudes😛
And Regarding Brahma Kamal...It is actually again a controversial flower normally in Uttrakhand this ...Sassurea oblavtta is considered as Brahma kamal which blooms at night...Kuch log ek special orchid ko mante hain..But it blooms in this season only and is found at higher altitudes...The one which which blooms in 14 years is again more of a myth

@piu i heard the folktale and searched in books travel guide and in wikipedia they confirmed the same thing lakshman jhula was built by lakshman it was thin rope on which ppl use to cross the river and it is not in the exact site where the present laskhman jhula stands the place is faraway from the bridge...

taken from wikipedia :

Lakshman Jhula (Hindi: ??????? ????) or Laxman Jhula is an iron suspension bridge situated in Rishikesh in Indian state of Uttarakhand . It is made over river Ganges to cross the river and is a landmark of Rishikesh. A similar bridge near Lakshman Jhula is Ram Jhula

It is said that Lakshman crossed Ganges on jute ropes between the place where this bridge is built.

and my uncle has seen bharmakamal... they bloom at night i think at 12:00 exact (or am i talking about different flower😕he said its quite romantic to see the flower blooming at night and brahmakamal are offered in lakshman temple naa...so the legend is right ????or yeah bhi dabloo banaing?????

and yeah guide petega mere haathon😡😆

Awww Arti..Actually local guides dabloo banate hain..Actually in the popular folklore and some people say its a myth..Lakshman jhula is actually a wonderful suspension bridge built by the British...People say that there used to exist a rope bridge which Ram and Laxman used to cross the river.Actually another bridge known as the Ram jhula is approximatekly 1 km away parallel to the Laxman jhula..So as a tourist there is a parking lot at Ram jhula where one parks the vehicle and moves on to the bridge crossing over to the other side where Ram,laxm,an and Bharat Temple are there.Alos it is said that Rama and Laxman bathed in the TRIVENI GHAT beneath the Ram jhula so wash their PAAP after killing Ravana and offered prayers.
It is also in interesting that RISHIKESH is actually not a city ..It is the only township in India which actually is divided into 3 districts...
The main residential area is Degradun distrrict..Rama Jhula and Laxaman jhula and Triveni ghat are in Muni ki reti Tehri Garhwal district and when u cross the bridge on the other side Ram ,laxman temples are in Pauri Garhwal district...He he..M gonna upload some pics in FB 😛and Jab me bore hoing me and ur jiju go to Laxman jhula and stand their for hrs at night😛

piu i m jealous u live in such a blissful place...its heaven... i love my chota sa hill station but still i wanna live in uttranchal...apne liye koi pahadi jiju dhundho... koi bhi chalega guide ko chod kar😆
