PART 14

That night all of a sudden BR gets unwell; But Rani controls the situation and looks after her the whole night. She does not close her eyes even for a minute. She performs her morning chores as well without a break.

Yudi gets to know about his mother's condition and rushes to her room to find Rani nursing her. He comes to know that she had taken care of BR very well and her condition is stable…..

Yudi: Ab inki tabiyeeyat kaisi hai?

Rani: Jee Abhi kaafi sudhaar aaya hai. Ab chinta ki koi baat nahi, Woh bilkul teek ho gayi. Bas ab aaraam ki zaroorat hai.

He sees that BR asleep. He now wished that his mother was right with him and giving him the advice to handle the situation. He looks at her condition sadly and is about to leave when Rani stops him

Rani: Arjun, aapne kahiin kuverji ko dekha? Abhi tak we apne Maa se milne nahi aaye.

Yudi is taken aback by her question…he wants to laugh out but controls too hard…How innocently she had landed him in trouble.

He thinks for a while and replies to her: Jee unhe office mei zaroori kaam yaad aagaya issliye unhe jaldi nikalna pada, Unhone hi hume yaahan bheja! We aapne kaam khatam karke yahaan foran aajaayenge.

Rani feeling very embarrassed about asking this question just replies: Jee.

Rani thinks that she is finally going to meet the prince. It's only seven in the evening. Yudi comes to tell Rani the truth and confess his love.

He knocks….There was no answer….He knocks again….yet there was no reply…He opens the door and enters in….. Rani was on he couch next BR's bed, in a deep sleep. Yudi walked near her and stood there for a while staring at her tired face. He thought that he would be the luckiest person to get married to such a wonderful woman. He slowly tiptoed out of the room and quietly closes the door behind him.

Next morning, Rani wakes up and finds herself on the couch and wonders when she fell asleep and wonders if Yudi had come to meet his mother or not.

Soon its time for engagement RB's family comes over. RB does not wait and immediately goes to meet Yudi.

She confronts him in his room and asks him: Aapne ek baar bhi hume phone nahi kia? Hum party mei aapka kitna intezaar kar rahe the. Sab ke saamne hum sar jhukkana pada.

Yudi: Hum aapne kaam me vyasth the.

RB: Toh phir aapko kya laga, Hume koi kaam nahi hai? Humne kitne baar aapko sampark karne ki koshish ki, Lekin aapse baat hi nahi ho paa rahi thi.

Yudi: Humne kaha than a, hum bilkul kam me lage hue the.

Yudi wants to get rid of her and confess his love to Rani soon…Time was just tricking down….He had only few hours left…..

RB: Achcha, hum samaj sakte hai…Chaliye, aaj koi bahaan nahi, Hum kahiin bahar ghoomne jaate hai.

Yudi: Ji nahi, aaj humari sagayi hai….usse pehle hume office ke saare kaam khatam karnahoga, warna hum sagaayi pe nahi aayenge.

That had done the trick….RB panics and tells him to finish the work soon. Yudi breathes a sigh of relief. Yudi decides to talk to Rani immediately. It's a do or die situation for him.

He goes to BR's room….He doesn't find Rani there…He takes blessings from BR and is about to leave the room, Rani enters in.

They stare at each other.

Rani breaks he eye contact and asks him: Arjun, Saare kaam ho gaye kya? Kunverji ki sagaayi ki saari taiyaariyaan ho gayi kya?

Yudi was reminded of that subject which he wanted to put an end to and the only was way was Rani's response.

Yudi: Hum aapse kuch kehna chahte hai.

Rani blushes and turns her head away and looks at BR who was asleep and had no clue what was going around her.

Yudi sees that she was not going to initiate the conversation and decides to proceed.

Yudi: Hum aapse yeh kehna chahte hai ki…..ki….ki…Humne kissi ladki ko pasand kar the hai.

He doesn't want I tell it directly, But he is gathering all the courage to tell her that it was her and only her.

Rani's head is spinning now, she had misunderstood his feelings and thinks it was some other girl but calms her down quickly.

Rani smiles and asks: Kaun hai woh ladki?

Yudi: Kya aap unhe dekhna chahegi?

Rani does not want to look at the girl; she knew who ever it was she was going to hate her, but she just nods to Yudi. She closes her eyes while Yudi takes her somewhere.

Yudi: Aap aapke ankhe band rakhiye, jab tak hum aapko kholne ke liye kehte hai, aap please aankhe mat kholiye.

Rani felt it was an easier way to maintain her composure and obeys him quickly…She doesn't want to open her eyes at all.

Yudi: Ab aap apke ankhe khol sakte hai….

Rani opens her slowly….She sees her own reflection…She was standing in front of a mirror! She looks at Yudi and gives and astonished look…She feels very delighted….He makes her sit on the couch to tell her the truth….

He looks into her eyes and eyes: Ek ladki dekhi thi, bilkul bijli ki tarah…Ek chamak aur mei apna dil de baite! Mujhe lagta hai, mujhe uss ladki se behat pyaar ho gaya hai..Bas ab ek hi tamanna hai..Ek hi khwaish hai, har pal usske hi paas rahoon.

Rani is blushing deep red hearing his words…..She doesn't know how to reciprocate her feelings…She doesn't tell him anything. She thinks to surprise him telling it a little later. She just runs away from that spot before Yudi could tell her the entire thing. He also wanted to confide her that he was the prince of this palace.

The stranger also had heard this and immediately went to repot to the master. The master smiles and tells that this was an unexpected turn as they wanted Yudi out of the palace somehow; it was going to happen without them doing anything.

Yudi meanwhile feels very sad and dejected goes to his room…She had refused to accept him and he had to accept this bitter truth. He finds Saksham in his room…Saksham worriedly looks at him asks the reason. Yudi, unable to bury his sorrow just pours out everything.

Saksham is shocked to the core and does not know how to say but just gives a general advice that he must not go against his family and moreover Rani had not agreed as well. Now Saksham understand the reason behind Yudi's happiness as he had never seen him like that! Yudi closes the door and sits down sadly to prepare himself for the engagement.

Rani on the other hand is totally in a different condition. She wanted to make him happy and give him a surprise….She still had no clue that he was the Prince. She decided to give him the surprise when the engagement ceremony is going on….!
