You have seen this hot bod sizzling on the silver screen as a glam gal, but when we caught up with reality TV contestant and actress Payal Rohatgi recently, we figured that there is more to this Bollywood belle. For one, she makes interesting conversation that is witty and thoughtful.

So when she says, "How long can you bank on your body and your face to help you get roles in films? At the end of the day, anyone who wants to be known as an actor wants to be appreciated for his/her work," we know that in real life, she's wiser than she appeared to us on Bigg Boss, the reality show where her friendship with Rahul Mahajan came under public scrutiny. "I knew Rahul for seven years when we entered the reality show, but he is a person I don't know any more because as a friend, he has become extremely selfish. He never took a stand for me in the reality show and listened to all kinds of crap about me from others. But I still give him the benefit of doubt as it is a manipulative game. I will never want to be linked with a man who can't stand for his woman."
With her years of friendship falling like a pack of cards, clearly, the memories of the show aren't sweet, but Payal says she has found it a learning experience and has given her nod to another reality show, about which she refuses to divulge details. "The show proved to be an eye opener for me. I understood that Rahul was taking me for granted. It made me more independent and mature. The show is a replica of how this world is – where people keep playing mind games and you can only trust yourself. God keeps testing you and I learnt to stay clam."

And though keeping calm is Payal's mantra, she does take recourse to kick-boxing when she's worked up or frustrated. "I do a lot of kick-boxing to keep in shape. Moreover, in our profession, there are times when you feel down and out, then I kick-box to vent my anger and frustration and then, again, a chirpy, happy Payal is all geared up to face the world," she shares. And for the moment, she says she is happy for more reasons than one.

For starters, she is attending theatre workshops, and she also has a film coming up. "The film is set against the backdrop of the 26/11 attacks and I am playing the role of a journalist in it. I am extremely excited about it, as I am tired of looking hot and sexy. The meaty role will give me the chance to show my acting prowess," she says. And as if to gear up for her 'meaty' role, she has joined some theatre workshops. "I have just finished a theatre workshop on Othello called Sampling Shakespeare, and joined another one with Kosar Thakur," she says. But the sexy actress leaves men drooling over her – what's happening in her love life? "I am tired of being single for so long. Life is so boring and I am looking for a guy!" she laughs.
