I think this marriage makes sense for Rakhi.

She doesn't have her own family, they only want her money. Everything she has done, she has done in front of the public. She wants her wedding to take place in front of the public too. It's a way of testing her grooms too, because she is someone who has a public life, her husband will too, and they might do future reality shows. Even if she doesn't appear on TV anymore ,media will keep hounding her, and husband has to also have a public life. So it is a good test for that.

Marriages are done publicly for a reason. There is no sense in a totally private marriage. People marry in front of others to hold each other to their promise. Tomorrow if someone deserts a marriage, or cheats, or something like that, they can be held accountable. Only difference here is that Rakhi is literally making it public, on TV. These guys have to be honest, in a sense, she is broadcasting to the world, including their families, details from her past because she doesn't want anyone to say she married by hiding her past. Whatever anyone says, it takes guts to do that!

So the question isn't whether we agree with TV swayamvar or not. It is obviously not for everyone. The point is it suits Rakhi Sawant. If anyone else does it, I don't even know if people will watch it!

it is a great lesson to learn for those girls, who run after guys who say they love them.. i see a very positive point of the show here as whether people like her concept of coming to live television for her marriage, she is definitely giving a message for people out there, that... look at these foolish guys and their mentality... how mean they are, how selfish they are.. how narrow minded they are... and very difficult for any girl to find out before the marriage about their mentality... she is bringing all those out.. black and white behaviour of those guys...

mistake lies with NDTV Image too.. while selecting those participants, can't they find out their background?? can't they find out their age?? in reality, marriage in india means they check all these before getting their daughter married... background checking is very important... my question is on what basis they selected these people?? to create a show and make the viewers enjoyable about what they see there.. i will not be surprised if rakhi didn't select anyone of them for marriage.. a good lesson for her too..
