I saw a blind fan's tweet defending the scene saying that Krishna said that so that he can make Rukmini and Radha realize the importance of promises. 😞😩

It's weird. Nowadays I see some Hindu organizations taking action against historical shows but turn a blind eye to these mythological shows where Gods and Goddesses are insulted for hype and publicity.

I don't even feel like calling these characters Radha Krishna Rukmini.

So in monday's episode they showed the doormat wife leaving Dwarka after her toxic husband broke his marriage with her. The drama queen asks her lover boy to stop doormat wife but he doesn't stop her. Then drama queen gives a promise that she won't stop lover boy from teaching Jara archery. Lover boy cum toxic husband stops doormat wife and tells her that he did all these to make her realize importance of making promises. He had promised Jara he will teach archery and he will do that no matter what. The doormat wife apologizes to her toxic husband and I don't know why. 😆

But the most problematic scene was Mahadev-Parvati scene. Parvati was angry with toxic husband for doing injustice with doormat wife. Mahadev told her, "Arey pati patni ke beech mein aise chote chote nok jhok hote rehte hain. Don't take this seriously. This was just a chota sa jhagda between them."

Can't believe a show about Gods and Goddesses can also be toxic and regressive. There's no difference between this show and a regular daily soap.

Wait! Wasn't this the story of Srikalahasti temple in south india? I had heard a story of a hunter who cut off his eye and offered it to Lord Shiva. They have ran out of stories so they are mixing stories from here and there. 😆

Also, Mallika pronouncing Aahuti as Ahuti 😆Her hindi pronunciation is still so bad inspite of working in the show for 3 years.

Yes, Krishna first says he will talk to his father. And there is a part which says Arjuna took permission from Vasudeva, but after the abduction, Krishna compares arranged marriage to sale of animals. My interp is Vasudeva mentioned was Krishna and not his father.

Arjuna had permission from Krishna and Yudhishtira. That's it.

Will check Sanskrit version to be sure.

Sanskrit text says vAsudeva. So Krishna. No involvement from father. Only Krishna and Arjuna.

In Sreemad Bhagwatam both father Vasudev and mother Devaki are in consent. I don’t know why but it's only Subhadra who is not taken into the plan in SB. However here Subhadra does love Arjun (although no one knows about it so the consent has not been taken)

Arjun Subhadra is definitely not like Duryodhan Bhanumati and much lesser like Samb Lakshamana since Samb was kind of physically assaulting Lakshmana when Karna caught hold of him while Duryodhan though abducted Bhanumati didn't physically force himself onto her and waited for her approval for marriage consummation (which I think anyway would have come in pressure)

Arjun Subhadra was like a consent marriage of both family and the girl although not properly taken, so I would say it wasn't r**e unlike the former two

@Chiillii I don't agree on your family approval more important logic since that would make the Krishna/Pradumnya culprits in Rukmiki/Rukmwati case because the family was against it (and defeated so forced to give up) since girls wish didn't matter
