As expected, no new episodes of RadhaKrishna will be telecast from 23 March 2020 until a currently unspecified date, while production is halted due to the coronavirus pandemic. (According to IndiaForums [article link below], old RK episodes will be telecast in the show's usual timeslot for the foreseeable future.)

StarBharat posted some videos on Instagram this weekend featuring Basant, Sumedh and Mallika individually giving this information (they all say the same thing).

Even though they still continuously treat the character of Balram quite disrespectfully in the RK show, it is very nice that the channel realises that Basant is popular and loved by audiences, and also feature him in such videos rather than only Sumedh and Mallika! Thank you, StarBharat! ⭐️

Two recent articles related to Vighnaharta Ganesh and Kartikeya:

Ganesh gets the global touch

Sony Entertainment Television’s mythological show Vighnaharta Ganesh is not only known for its interesting depiction of mythological stories but also the technology that goes into the final creation of the show.

Those, who have an idea of editing, know how tough it is to create VFX edits and how much time and effort goes into the same. While making day-to-day episodes still becomes easier with passing time, some major sequences like wars, which require heavy motion, take longer. Sharing details, Kartikey, aka Basant Bhatt, said, “I am quite excited to see how this entire thing comes out and am sure audience too would be captivated by it.”

Preparations for battle scenes of Karthikey and Sursai in Vighnaharta Ganesha show

TV's well-known serial Vighnaharta Ganesh is known not only for its interesting portrayal of mythological stories, but also for the technology used in the making of the show. The current sequence of the show depicts the marriage of Karthikeya and an upcoming episode may show Karthikeya's battle with a demon named Sursai. At present, this story will be long and the war scene can be aired after about a month but it is being prepared long back.

Its secret is the special effects of this sequence. The show is usually shot three to four days before the show airing because the show has to be shown daily. To edit this sequence, VFX artists from America before the Corona crisis are working day and night. Basant Bhatt, who plays Karthikeya in the serial, said, "The battle scene between Karthikeya and Sursai will be grand. Some ancient weapons will also be shown in it, such as flying arrows and tridents. "

He further said, "Along with this, Sursai's deal will also be huge in this sequence. Only a professional was needed for this. That's why we were asked to shoot a month before the broadcast. Artists were called from abroad to edit this entire sequence. I am very excited to see how it all works. I'm sure it will thrill the audience as well. "

Arti's comments: It's cool to hear that they've had American VFX artists helping out again. 👍🏼 VG is a very graphics-intensive show, and as long-term VG fans will know, the majority of the show has actually usually always been shot about three weeks before broadcast in order to give them enough time for the graphics and post-production, not just three to four days before broadcast as the NewsTrackLive article states and as other non-graphics-intensive shows may do. Looking forward to seeing Kartikeya's eventually upcoming and important battle with Surapadman! ⭐️ (Surapadman as opposed to his mother, Surasayi, like this second article says.)

@arti VG has shortened episodes from today, and if i remember correctly, that recent flood scene was shot shortly before 19th march when shooting stopped.

though i know they have shot major part of the war scene between kartikeya and surapadman in feb itself. because a glimpse was shown in between of surapadman getting shot. but i am not sure if material in between present scenario and ultimate war is in store already with vg team .

also sonyliv is not making episodes available from yesterday 😔

i would definitely like them keep showing fresh episodes because it is the only way of entertainment left now, and the track is good too... but i think they may have to stop broadcasting as soon as next week 😔

^Tusu, the flood scenes of Devsena that were in the new VG episodes aired towards the end of March 2020 were actually shot on/around Sunday 8 March rather than close to 19 March before the blanket TV/film etc shooting stoppage started. They did shoot more footage until 19 March with the various sets of characters in various places/situations, and probably do have a few new episodes edited and ready to be aired, but I guess Sony TV decided to stop running new episodes from 1 April for their shows that were still airing new episodes up until then. That seems perfectly reasonable so that they can at least have a small episode bank available for when they eventually are able to recommence shooting/production and airing new episodes of VG and their other shows. It will be cool to see the Kartikeya-Surapadman fight scenes and all that when VG is able to continue. Until then we just have to wait patiently and stay safe, while Surapadman can be happy that his life got extended. 😆

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all continuing to be safe and well during lockdown.

Musician Brijesh Sarin has teamed up with several artists - including Basant - to thank frontline workers for their efforts during these pandemic times through a song called "Shukriya - A Tribute to Frontline Workers". ⭐️

The song video (total duration 5 minutes 8 seconds) was released on 14 May 2020, on Brijesh Sarin's YouTube channel.

So here's another massive thank you to all the frontline workers worldwide for everything they have done and continue to do to keep us safe and well in these uncertain and trying times. 👏

I hope you enjoy the video, and take care and stay safe. 😊

RK shooting recommenced last week - on Friday 26 June or thereabouts.

One of the makeup artists posted a video on YouTube earlier today showing Basant having his Balram wig put on (30 June 2020; total video duration: 1 minute 13 seconds). 😊

So along with continuing to showcase the "new normal" with the makeup artist wearing a mask and gloves and other crew members/assistants wearing masks, this new video shows the wig being put onto Basant's head in the first place, while the previous video they uploaded in March (first post on page 58 of this AT) shows how they style up the front part of Balram's hair.

New episodes of RK will reportedly begin airing on Monday 13 July.

I hope everyone is safe and doing well. Take care! ⭐️

Ok, so makeup artist Sarv Priyadarshi deleted from his YouTube channel the BTS video of Basant that had I posted in my previous post ^ a few days ago. Oh, well!

Anyway, RadhaKrishna shooting is well underway since late June (last week), with several new actors joining to play various characters from the Mahabharat. New RK episodes will begin airing on Monday 13 July 2020.

Here is a short BTS video posted by @radhakrishntm on Instagram earlier today (Saturday 4 July) showing some of the new shooting, briefly featuring Basant, Sumedh and some of the new actors. Again, as part of the "new normal", it is good to see the crew taking precautions such as wearing masks, with the actors also joining in wearing masks in between shots. 👍🏼

Shooting for Vighnaharta Ganesh is also well underway since late June (last week), with Basant having his first day of shooting as Kartikeya today (Saturday 4 July). New episodes of VG are starting to air again on Monday 20 July, so I'm looking forward to seeing warrior Kartikeya back in full flight again later in the month! ⭐️

Here is a BTS picture from his shooting that Basant posted on Instagram:

As always, take care and stay safe, everyone!
