Hi Sukhi - long time, no see! (Or more correctly, I'm never here at the same time as you!)

In answer to your question (even though it was directed at Tusu), Sumedh won the "Gold Debut in a Lead Role (Male)" award at the 2019 Gold Awards. I have put some videos of his speech and interview in this separate dedicated thread - please do take a look.

Tusu, I haven't been able find any information about who won the "Best Actor in a Comic Role (Male)" award.

Maybe they just chose not to show some of the award categories in Zee5's (supposedly) live stream but will actually show them all (including this category!) when they air the awards ceremony on Zee TV, whenever that will be, in the hopes of getting everyone to still watch it on TV. Who knows! 😕

Hopefully they did in fact still give this award to someone! It would be pretty bad of the awards organisers to have this category - which was pretty packed with 16 nominations, including some very funny guys (Basant included) and comedians from comedy shows - open for awards and then not give the award out at all! Clearly I voted a lot for Basant, but regardless of whether they actually really take the public votes into consideration or not, it would be very bad form to not give out the award! They did give out the female comic role award, so they really should have the male one, too! Let's see if it materialises, eventually!

About the RK show wanting to stretch out for another year - what are they planning to show for that long??? 🤓

Ravan has been killed in today's episode (with mention of Kumbhkarn and Meghnaad/Indrajeet but no sign of them or Vibhishan) and Ram, Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman have been shown back in Ayodhya (alert: Lakshman with a new mukut/crown, but very briefly!), so it looks like the Ramayan storyline is over, or almost over if they plan to show/mention Sita's vanvaas with Luv-Kush. And Radha is supposedly about to realise her divinity, according to the new promo, so who knows that they are planning to have in the show for the short term, let alone for another year!!!

I do wonder if they are planning to show the Mahabharat, the way they keep foreshadowing it, although who knows how they will weave Radha into Krishna's post-Vrindavan life for so long. Whatever the case, I hope RK actually doesn't stretch out unnecessarily and finishes up in a reasonable way. I think it has had a pretty good run and everyone involved deserves to be able to move on to doing other good work, rather than being stuck in a dragging show.

Its a whole different universe, itself! They aren't mentioning devki-vasudev here, let alone other characters of MB!😆

I think, after radha's realization, her journey towards being the 'prem ki devi' will start! I mean, seeking out of the house at night to meet krishna, going against the society and being called, 'apavitra' etc. Etc.!🤔

But, honestly i would love to see, krishna's post-vridavan life, with sumedh as krishna!

Practically, there's a whole lot of stuff for krishna-balram to do, as they enter their prince-life! Yadavs, mathura establishment post kans death, dwarka etc. Etc.! Just so much content for krishna-balram, as they are the leaders of yadavs!

Here, all they both are doing is giving same expressions and dialogues!🤢

Not, just basant, even sumedh-mallika are Doing repetitive things!

N most important! In one interview, Siddharth Kumar tiwary said, the show would end at Radha-krishna! Coz radha's journey ends at vridavan, am very sure, the show won't go further!

even i thought the show will go on till january max but someone showed me swapnil deshpandey's tweet from 2nd october, i was confused 😕

btw there is one guy called depanshu sharma on insta, he sometimes leaks unseen pic and all, idk in what capacity he is attached with the show.... he was telling in pvt that show will end soon 🤔

its the other way around i think, the dragging u are seeing right now in the storyline, is because star bharat don't want it to end, otherwise swastik shows hardly go on for one year in average. i think star bharat is commissioning RK liberally as its the only popular show from that channel. previously there was nimki mukhiya but popularity of it has dropped and other shows are totally flop.

well no one has been able to find any info about what happened to that particular category so far.

they actually showed the ceremony from start to end LIVE, but its pretty much confirmed that category wasn't announced between this duration. was there any other category which was there in the list but not announced ? if not, then ye gaya toh gaya kahan 😆

authorities were contacted about this but they haven't responded to us.

Ok to begin I is very confused about what happened with the award show. I didn’t watch it but if they didn’t announce who won the best comic character by now why would they do it later. Wasn’t the show love and already complete they not gonna hold another event. Did they skip that category? Cuz if Basant did win I am sure we would have known. Very confused about that.

Glad Sumedh won very happy for him. He truly deserved it.

Also Basant and Sumedh looked great at the award show. Love seeing their friendship outside the show.

Also am really hoping they don’t plan on dragging this show longer then a year even 6 months would be a lot. It is already dragging. No doubt the cast did amazing but I would love to see them try something new with a different production (except Ekta and Gul).

But then again some of you brought up some points to why this show may drag. One the channel will want to stay popular and Radha Krishn the only way. Second I feel this show is one of Swastik popular shows after Mahabharat. Their other shows did not/are not doing so well. So they would want to keep this show running till they can bring something else they can ruin but make popular.

No clue what’s gonna happen...I hope it wraps up and it hurts me to say that since I do love the cast but now the show is not the same anymore.

Also I don’t think Balram will be needed by Krishn anymore. Since he will be getting his Radha. Balram will now only be asking questions about the future. Or being ignored. That makes me sad. Balram has already asked before that why is he not that important to Krishn. I wanted more KaRam moments that were the good and sweet ones but not sure if we can get that anymore.

Well now let’s see CVs interpretation of Radha becoming Prem ki Devi.

There is still no info about that award category 😂😂😂 one possibility is that the actual winner didn't come, so they may show a recorded statement in tv telecast 🤔🤔🤔

I am really happy for sumedh, he is going places with this show no doubt about it, but sumelika will be the only beneficiaries if the show drags on, not others... I really want to see basant doing a more plumpy role ASAP, except dayan chudail shows 😂😂

Even that other asur Shree Balram gets to kill in the epics I hope he doesn’t come at all. Dhenukasur was such a disappointment. Because now that Radha can Kill asurs she will probably kill him half way then Balram will only poke him and he will get moksha

Man am I gonna miss KaRam. You right the initial days are officially over. Although I am happy for sumelika especially Mallika now she can do much more in the show.
