Good food guide
"Food is essential and my intake of food depends entirely on my work structure. Good food basically helps you build good health. Luckily God has given me very good taste buds."
Split personality
"I have split breakfast. I wake up at 7.00 in the morning. Have my breakfast by 8.00, either egg white or yokes or muesli. And then at around 9.30 I go to the gym. After about two and a half hour I have a protein shake. While on a shoot, I avoid unit food. I have a cook who sends my dabba. Lunch is dal, rice, two chapattis and protein-rich vegetables. I have a sweet tooth, but I try and avoid sweets.
In the evening I have some snacks if I am hungry. I strictly avoid carbs after 6.00pm. I have tea or coffee without sugar in the evening. I try to have my dinner early. Dinner is always very light either soups or salad or plain vegetables. No chapatis, no rice for dinner. At around 11.30 I have my protein shake if I miss it in the morning. I try and eat something every 3 1/2 hours during the day."
Mom's dal rice to die for
"I don't like to eat out. But I am forced to because I live alone. My parents are in Pune. I love dal rice cooked by my mom. Mocha is a very good place to hang out. I enjoy eating there. I like Mezzo Mezzo at the J W Mariott. I am very finicky when it comes to food. I like to eat good and healthy food at healthy places."
Sports quota
"I am a complete health freak. I go for jogging everyday. I go to the gym regularly, do cardio and weights. I don't believe in taking steroids. It's good to be a sports person. I play football, basket ball and I believe in keeping fit always."
"I try to sleep as much as possible. Drink plenty of water. I cannot meditate because I cannot concentrate. But, I would advice people to meditate, it is the best way to find peace. I go to the parlour sometimes. But I try and make my face packs at home, like tomato or papaya packs."
Don't abuse your body
"Be an actor or an engineer you should never abuse your body. It is only your good health that keeps you positive. Don't smoke. If you cannot get rid of the habit, atleast smoke within limit. Excess of anything is bad."
Salma Hayek and dal chawal
"I have never thought of a dinner date. But if given the chance I would like to take Salma Hayek on a dinner date and treat her with ghar ka bana dal chawal at my place."
