Chapter 13

The night went by with Zoya and Khushi talking about almost everything, they got along with each other really well in a short span of time, soon it was morning and Ayaan came with two cups of coffee for Khushi and Zoya

Ayaan: well it's not that great but also not that disaster enough to refresh once mind here have a hot streamed coffee for two gorgeous ladies

Zoya: Ayaan...I'm not feeling like...

Khushi: Ayaan I think we should reserve one more bed in here seeing your sister in law taking her health for granted she will need one

Zoya just opened her mouth to say something but felt short of words as they were right but how can she have eaten something knowing Asad didn't have anything yet, Zoya just sighed voicing out her concern

Zoya: since yesterday Asad didn't have any food

Khushi: Sweetheart Asad has been provided with much-needed proteins and vitamins through IVs but you can't get it like that so only alternative left is, you have to eat

Ayaan: Doctor is always right so, please!!!

With that he handover the one cup to Zoya and another to Khushi

Khushi: Thanks

With that, they both took a sip and Ayaan excused himself leaving to ladies to talk

Khushi: Zoya coffee is not enough you have to eat something healthy

Zoya: let me talk to Asad one more time then I will happily eat the whole menu from the canteen

Khushi: fine! Sounds like a deal

"Yeah! Yeah" Zoya said reluctantly

But then again an excitement came across her face

Zoya: hey! You didn't complete your story so who won your sister's sangeet

"Of course I did," Khushi said with a proud smile

"But then you said your partner was injured at last moment," asked a curious Zoya

"Last moment Arnavji came and danced with me" Khushi answered casually leaving Zoya confused

"Dr.Arnav? But he was groom's brother and also the one with whom you were competing" asked a very confused at the same time curious Zoya

" till date, I don't know! keeping his precious ego aside why did he do that but that day was special that day I labelled that unknown feeling I had for him as Love" Khushi said little mesmerised

"Allah Miya! Your story is just amazing" Zoya exclaimed in excitement

"Though I was shipping Arnav to win but nevermind" she further added sadly

Khushi's mouth was in big O after hearing that

" I thought you were my friend and you were shipping that Laad governor to win, why Zoya! Why" Khushi said dramatically also to cheer up Zoya

"Come on! I'm your friend more but also a choreographer and listening to the whole scenario his team was strong and being a non-dancer he had really went out of the box so...as a professional I can't be biased here my friend" Zoya replied with a teasing smirk

Khushi: why Devi Maiya! why so much professionalism around me guess I have to deal with it (Khushi said dramatically)

"Btw leave it! You tell me when did you realize your love for Asad" she further asked her curiously

Now it was Zoya's turn going down the memory lane

Zoya: when he proposed I was very much in dilemma, I thought he is sympathizing over me and misunderstanding it as love

Khushi: you were going through so much, please tell me how did you let your heart win over your brain

Zoya: The day I came to know he is leaving the country for a very long period and maybe I will never see him again that feeling is something which I never wanted to go through ever in my life the feeling that I lost him

Zoya said the last part again losing in that accident nightmare where she almost lost him and this time it was real, not some stupid plan

Suddenly she felt arms engulfing her it was Khushi's arm

Khushi(still hugging her): your Asad is fine now and so does everything is going to be

Zoya: Inshallah!!! I'm just being a crybaby from yesterday(Zoya said wiping her tears) its just that when I heard that news I was not able to take, it just felt like...you know(she was not able to put it in words)

Khushi: ...like your heartbeat stopped and was not able to breathe

Zoya felt like Khushi just voiced her thoughts

Zoya: EXACTLY!!! Ya Allah, please tell me what I'm thinking is wrong

Khushi: I wish! But I know that feeling that worse phase when I got to know Arnavji was kidnapped, let's not talk about it it's over and he is with me all fine

Zoya did feel a slight shiver in Khushi's hand

Zoya: it's good to talk out your nightmare to get rid of it

Khushi: really?

Zoya: of course or maybe I'm curious

Khushi couldn't help but smile at that

Khushi: he saved a politician's daughter whose father had shot her for falling in love with a guy from the rival party, they offered handsome amount to Arnavji to inject her poison so that it won't look suspicious, but Arnavji not only refused it by rudely insulting them, being my Laad governor stated the reason behind the girl's condition in front of media, thanks to Delhi police they reached in time or else...

She was not able to talk further about it, Zoya understood that and squeezed Khushi's hand

Zoya: As you said everything is fine now

Khushi: True

Zoya just thought to enlighten the atmosphere

Zoya(chirpy voice): BTW don't you think we have many things in similar from getting emotionally challenged man to all the crazy moments we faced as a consequence for falling in love with them

Khushi(joined her): that's true! As if both our love story came from the same production

Both just shared a hearty laugh thinking about it and continued their nonstop blabbering as a long lost best friends met after decades, between that talk Zoya squealed in joy accidentally spilling the coffee on her top

Khushi: Hey Devi Maiya! Zoya are you okay!

Zoya: Allah Miya! What's wrong with me I'm so clumsy at times(Zoya said wiping the wetness of her top)

Khushi: Come! Will go to the restroom

Zoya just nodded and went with Khushi

As soon as they left Dilshad and Najma came along with Gaffur, Razia and Humeira

Ayaan went towards them seeing all of them

Ayaan: You all came together

Najma: Yes, in the premises we bumped into each other

Ayaan(with a smile): okay

Dilshad: how is Asad?

Ayaan: Ammi he is fine and having a speedy recovery

Dilshad just closed her eyes thanking the almighty

Ayaan further added: in fact, we had a word with him yesterday night and after that, he slept due to medicines effect, he should be awake in sometime

Humeira glanced around the place searching for Zoya

Humeira: Where is Baji?

Ayaan: she was here only the whole time, I think maybe in the washroom

Humeira: Okay!

Dilshad and Najma moved towards emergency ward where Asad was kept

Ayaan: I will bring tea for you all

With that, he was above to go when he was interrupted by Razia

Razia: how will you carry so many teas alone? Humeira go help him out

Humeira just nodded joining Ayaan as Razia had a point he can't carry so many glasses at once but think she is not aware of was her mother's intention

Razia thinking with an evil smile, "Running behind Asad is of no use. He has gone stupid over that blind girl, but Ayaan is his brother they both will be having equal shares in the property"

She came out of the thought as Gaffur shocked her

Gaffur: What's cooking in your mind?

Razia: you don't have to be so paranoid always

"I'm telling you again if you create any scene like yesterday you will see a worst of me, Gaffur said in a warning tone

"Fine" Razia said gritting her teeth and left from there towards Dilshad

Here Asad was in deep slumber when his brow furrowed as the flashback of yesterday's incident was running in his mind, Zoya in the middle of the street and the speeding car nearly hitting her, he opened his eyes with a jolt and looked around to find himself in a hospital bed

Asad muttered to himself, "she's fine"

He turned his head looking towards the door when he saw Dilshad from the glass door talking to Najma, he just kept looking at them as if he is seeing them after years when that car hit him he thought for a moment he would never see them again. After some time Razia came to Dilshad and Asad's fumed seeing her

The next thing came in her mind seeing that wicked lady was Zoya, his eyes became bloodshot due to anger if looks could kill then Razia would be in hell by now, he suddenly became alarmed thinking

"Where is Zoya!" All he wanted was to see her right now, he tried to get up from the bed but due to medicines effect he was too weak to get up, the Nurse over there immediately rushed to his side seeing him throwing stunts

"Sir what are you doing please lie down " exclaimed the Nurse shock with his behaviour

"I need to go! Excuse me" Asad said completely ignoring her

"Your wounds are not healed you cannot be so hard on yourself, " the Nurse said helplessly trying to make him understand but all he did was paid deaf ears

The Nurse immediately rushed outside and saw Dilshad, Najma and Razia

"Please come inside, Mr.Khan is not cooperating and one of you go and call the Doctor, " she said that hurriedly going back inside

"I will go and call the Doctor," Razia said

Dilshad and Najma went inside and saw Nurse struggling with a stubborn Asad who by now even in such medication managed to get up and was in a half sitting position but due to weakness was not able to manage himself

"Asad what are you doing!" Exclaimed the stunned Dilshad seeing him react like that

"Ammi Zoya? Where is Zoya?" asked the very perplexed Asad

"Zoya is completely fine, Dilshad said in an assured tone trying to calm him down but he was too much worried to see through anything but then finally he calmed down hearing a soft voice calling his name

"Asad, what happened?" Asked a worried Zoya who rushed inside with Arnav, Khushi, Ayaan and Humeira

Asad calmed down seeing her safe but then next moment again freaked out

"Where the hell where you? Didn't I told you to be right here by my side! You're not safe out there! Can't you just understand!" He shouted

Zoya thought because of yesterday's incident he is still worried, Zoya just smiled a little and went towards his direction where the voice was coming from

"The way you are reacting now, I did the same yesterday, now seeing you I am realizing how insane I was," she said with a smile

"Sorry about that," she said that part looking around indicating others, everyone just chuckled at that

Zoya lifted her hand in the air searching for Asad, he immediately held her hand she smiled giving his hand a little squeeze assuring him she's fine

"Now I'm good because I know you are safe and as long as I'm here nothing can happen to you " Zoya chuckled and added "Sounds funny coming from a blind girl right? but it's my strong belief and I want you to have the same faith that as long as you're fine nothing can happen to me

"I have that faith in you but after what happened not in my destiny not any more," Asad said tucking her hair strands behind her ear

"Our love is beyond destiny and remember? love conquers it all, she said cupping his face

Zoya said the same line which Asad had said to her to assure her when Zoya was getting nervous about this relation while giving it a chance

Flashback:

Asad: happiness comes with a price tag, not love and if your love is with you, it doesn't matter if there is happiness because love conquers it all

(A\N: Those who don't remember it is from Thread 1 Chapter 9)

Asad just hugged her sighing in relief when Gaffur and Razia entered the room and seeing Razia Asad's hold on Zoya tightened

Zoya could feel his muscles stifling

A thought crossed her mind is it something else which is bothering him but then she shrugged off her thoughts thinking maybe she is just assuming things and just stroked his back trying to relax him

Arnav whispered to Khushi: I love you

Khushi looked at him with her million dollars blushing smile whispered back "I love you dammit"

Khushi held Arnav's arm looking at the couple admiringly

Arnav: What the! I'm on duty

Khushi(annoyingly): you and your what the! Huh!

She said turning her face angrily but then again smiled seeing AsYa

Humeira coughed a little to tease them and also bringing them out of their love land

Zoya immediately jumped out of his arms maintaining a safe distance and her cheeks have turned a shade of red as she knew everyone is present in the room

Ayaan: sorry to interrupt the moment you know just two months to go then you both can have your moment as long as you please

Asad: shut up Ayaan

Dilshad: look Zoya now that Asad is absolutely fine, you should go home and rest for sometime and most importantly have a good sleep

Zoya: no Ammi I'm fine

Ayaan: Ammi is right bhabhi, whole night you were up

Asad: it's all right if she doesn't want to go

Zoya nodded in agreement

Najma: (with a sweet voice) Aww...you both are so adorable but Bhaijaan (making her voice stern)Stop acting childishly can't you see how tired she is

Asad can't argue on that as he himself can see how tired her eyes are and the stress she went through is clearly evident on her face, he could still see the dried tear stains and her messy hair yes everyone is right she indeed need to relax but his fear is also justified there is this lady she lives with, who is behind her life! Freaking want her death and she was almost successful doing that if he didn't came in between knowing that how can he let her out of his sight but he won't be able to stop her too as no one knows what actually happened and this is not the right time and also Zoya is not in the state to take it and he is even doubtful if she would believe him because she has given a mother's place to that vamp and it would be a tough job to convince her

Asad: okay you all are right Ayaan drop her in our home

Ayaan: oka...

Before Ayaan could complete he was interrupted by Humeira

Humeira: I know how badly you want this to happen but till the time you both get married I'm not sharing my sister with you

Ayaan: Oh Hello! Marriage is fixed so now she is my sister-in-law so KV is her home now...(turning towards Zoya) come bhabhi

Humeira was in big O hearing how dare he is showing a brotherly right on her sister

Humeira: excuse me if she is your bhabhi then she is my behen and I'm not giving her to you anytime soon

Ayaan: really? Who is asking for your access rights?

Humeira: you...

With that their argument started

Asad just rolled his eyes seeing this grownup kid

When he noticed Khushi with Arnav

Asad: Khushi!!!when you came? After so long

He was indeed happy seeing his best friends after so long

Khushi: indeed very long time but next time consider sweet shop or something for our mini-reunion than a hospital

Asad: can't help if your friends are BUSY Doctors

Asad said emphasizing on word 'busy'

Khushi: says the person who cannot be found in the same country for more than 10days, thanks to social media I can keep a check on your moves

She said punching in lightly on his arms

Asad: Ouch! (Asad said dramatically) that was strong (turning to Arnav)you introduced her to actual food other than jalebi

Arnav: slow down Khushi you can't do that to my patient

Asad: I'm not a patient!

Zoya: currently you are! So keep your lion attitude aside and behave like one

Arnav: you indeed got beauty with brains!

Najma: I'm shocked that Bhaijaan is active in social media

Zoya: yeah exactly! Even a vocal Social sounds weird if it relates to Asad

Asad(sarcastically): I feel so proud

Khushi: he is not active at all I stalk Haider because it's obvious wherever Asad goes he will there

Arnav: talking of that I'm shocked to not to find him here did he finally moved on from you

Asad: shut up dude! He doesn't know he is in Singapore for a business meet and Just because Aman has a thing for you all are not the same

Arnav: what the! He is getting married to Lavanya so stop it

Asad: don't be sad you will always be his first love

Arnav: it's so difficult to move on from first love! I understand, Haider told me as soon as you proposed Zoya

Asad: incredibly foolish!

With that, they both also started their argument along with Ayaan and Humeira

Dilshad: silence!!!!

All went quiet hearing Dilshad's stern voice

Dilshad: I feel like I'm in a children's ward

Zoya: they are much mature than them

Khushi: correct!

Dilshad: anyway Zoya beta you go and have rest okay I'm here with Asad

Dilshad: there is nothing to worry right Arnav?

Arnav: not at all just he has to have some rest then he is again ready to roar!

All that chuckle at that

Arnav: if he promises that, I can discharge him by tomorrow evening

All were happy hearing that

Asad: please do that I want to get out of here as soon as possible

Ghaffur: so good to hear that! (stroking Zoya's head) you're happy now

Zoya just nodded with a wide grin

Ghaffur: will leave now with Zoya but don't worry I will bring her back soon

Though Asad didn't want to let her go, he can't refuse Gaffur though not a biological one but for Zoya, he is her father and Zoya won't like him opposing his words

Asad: okay! But let Mrs.Siddiqui be here Ammi will have a company

Asad with a cold glare turned towards Razia, nobody notices the coldness in his voice

Asad: is that okay with you

Asad thinking, "if she doesn't agree I'm not letting Zoya go anywhere no matter what others think or what Zoya herself think I don't care"

But Razia immediately agreed as she wants to be in their good books and also Khan family didn't appreciate her showdown the day before when she was accusing Zoya so it's the best chance to compensate

Razia: sure Asad beta! I would love...

Asad(cutting her off): fine then (turning to Zoya, his expression softened) come back soon

Zoya: take rest I will be back soon!

She left with Gaffur with a heavy heart hoping the time to move sooner followed by Humeira who gave a winning smile to Ayaan making him fume at her

Khushi saw her leaving with her stick

Khushi: Asad I need to talk to you something

Arnav: not now Khushi he has to rest!

Asad: that's fine let us talk I'm good

Arnav: I will decide that

Asad: you're enjoying bossing me aren't you? Mr Raizyada

Arnav: you have no idea Mr.Khan

Khushi: Arnavji, it's important we can't delay it

Arnav remember their earlier conversation about Zoya's eyesight

Arnav: 15 minutes!!!

Khushi: fair enough!

Arnav: only one person can be here please everyone else has to wait out since visitors time is over

All nodded in understanding

Dilshad went to Asad and kissed his forehead lovingly cupping his face

Asad held her hand kissing her hand his muscles relaxed feeling his mother's warmth

Asad: I thought I won't see you again

Dilshad hugged him hearing that, he also hugged her back and saw Najma looking at them with tears, he extended his arm motioning her to join the hug, she rushed towards his side hugging him with silent tears rolling down

Asad: you both know I can't stand your tears so please stop crying

They came out of the hug wiping their tears

Asad: I'm fine and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon

Najma: promise

Asad(smiled): promise

Dilshad: we are outside

Razia: Haan beta you need to rest now so that you recover soon

Asad gritted his teeth hearing Razia's voice

Asad(with a rude tone): I very well know what I have to do next

Everyone was taken aback by his reaction, Dilshad immediately covered up for him

Dilshad: he is not used to being like this so don't mind (sternly looking at Asad) you recover soon then I will show you(but immediately her gaze softened seeing his wounded forehead stroking his forehead) if you need me I'm right outside this room

Asad nodded and all of them went out leaving Asad and Khushi alone
