Part 20 (A):
Next morning, Zoya woke up only to find Asad awake and smiled snuggling in his chest while Asad pulled her closer and dropped a kiss in her hair... AsYa spent an hour lying in each other's arm silently, both were trying to assure their selves that it was not a dream and they were actually together...
Later, Asad and Zoya headed towards their home sweet home, Zoya stopped on the door step remembering her encounter with Asad when she had come back from Pakistan and Asad too felt her hesitation... he entwined his hand with hers on which Zoya looked towards him and smiled a teary one... Asad gripped her hand tighter telling her not to think about past... both stepped in the house hand and hand, they not only entered in their house, but also took a step towards future letting go of the bitter memories...
That day happiness stepped in the Khan household after so many days, Khans along with Haider and Najma were happy to see AsYa together... that morning the whole family sat together on the dining table and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with lots of chit-chat and nok-jhoks...
Asad took off from the office as he wanted to take Zoya to the best gynecologist in order to discuss her pregnancy... he was not going to believe what Zoya had told him a day before so without telling her he took the appointments from almost 6 best gynecologists of Bhopal... also he told Prasad to look for India's best gynecologist, no doubt Zoya's current gynecologist Dr. Khanna was quite good in his profession but he wanted best for his wife and child...
Zoya spent the whole afternoon with Dilshad who made a few dishes for her, some typical dishes for pregnant ladies... Zoya felt like throwing up, the smell of Desi Ghee didn't go well with her and moreover her entire gang was there to tease her to the core...
That evening, Asad and Zoya visited two doctors who said the same thing... Zoya was fully aware but for Asad it was quite difficult to accept the truth... when Asad and Zoya came back, they saw Sara at their place and the moment Sara saw AsYa together the smile of her face vanished and Zoya was the one who noticed it... Asad was worried because of Zoya so he didn't notice anything, he greeted her and left from there while Zoya stood there to have a word with Sara...
From college days Zoya knew how madly Sara was in love with Asad, she knew Asad had proposed her just to provoke her but in their personal matter they literally played with the emotions of a poor soul Sara... Zoya wanted to apologize but seeing AsYa together Sara got what was coming up, so before Zoya or Asad could have explained her anything she left from there with a broken heart...
Asad was lost in some thoughts, he was happy to have his Zoya back but the thought of losing her was enough to disturb him fully... he didn't know where he did wrong, he fell hard for Zoya and took a few years in confessing... they were happy, their families were happy but suddenly the bubble of happy go lucky family burst... Zoya left him after a few days after their wedding, after whole three months she came back and she was expecting a baby... he took almost a month to reunite with his lady love but then he came to know about her complicated pregnancy... he didn't know whether to celebrate for having Zoya back or to mourn as his wife had chosen their baby over her own life...
Zoya entered in the room only to meet with darkness, she found Asad standing near the window and turned on the lights... she came and stood beside her husband, she knew what he was thinking so she didn't ask the reason and initiated a conversation...
Zoya: apko Sara se baat kar leni chahiye thi...
Asad didn't reply and kept on staring outside the window...
Zoya: I know she will understand but she loves you Asad... it's not that easy for her and...
Asad: do you really think I can live without you???
Asad asked cutting her off while Zoya sighed as she failed in her attempt of diverting his mind...
Asad: you should have aborted it...
It was really hard for Asad but he didn't have any other option while tears brimmed in her Zoya's eyes and she looked at her husband in disbelief...
Asad: why you love me this much Zoya??? If I am not wrong you were being told to abort it then why you didn't do it??? Why Zoya???
Asad was also crying, he was that unfortunate would be father who was not happy for having a baby... why would he after all it was going to cost him his life, his Zoya...
Zoya: Asad yeh aap kya keh rahe hain...
Asad: sahi keh raha hoon, tum ne aisa kyun kiya Zoya... he asked pulling her closer by her shoulders...
Zoya: apko kho dene ke baad mere pass khone ke liye kuch nahi bacha tha Asad... kuch bhi nahi...
Asad let go of her, he knew he was hurting her but what he was supposed to do... Zoya too knew Asad didn't mean it at all, it was just that his possessiveness took over his senses... she took his hand in hers and placed it on her baby bump while Asad stopped in whatever he was thinking...
Zoya: mai aap se door thi, apne ghar se door thi par khud se bhaag kar kahin nahi ja sakti thi... woh sab asaan nahi tha par mujhe jo theek laga mene kiya... when I came to know about my pregnancy, I just wanted to be with you and tell you first but my luck was not in my favor... this baby assured me that you are with me, not physically but in my soul... I didn't have the courage to lose that feeling Asad...
Tears kept on rolling down her cheeks and she spoke looking straightly in his eyes while Asad felt bad for reminding her past days when she was all alone... he too was hurt at that time but he had his entire family with him and unfortunately Zoya had a few friends and a stranger family...
Asad: I am sorry Zoya... he cupped her face in his hands and wiped her tears...
Zoya looked down as she was not going to buy his sorry, how he dared to talk about abortion...
Asad: I know I should not have said that but I love you more than anything in this world... trust me I am happy for having a baby but I can't let you go... I just can't... his voice cracked in the end...
For the first time, Zoya actually felt his pain and thought from his point of view... she wanted to erase that pain but nothing was in her hands...
Zoya: you do believe in Allah, right???
Asad: yeah but...
Zoya: no ifs and buts Asad, trust hai ya nahi...
Asad: I do have faith in Allah...
Zoya: then why are you thinking negative, we still have time and I am pretty sure we can deal with it...
Asad: what do you mean???
Zoya: my stupid husband, I know my life is at risk but I am not dying now only and if you keep praying and took great care of me then I guess Allah Miyan won't disappoint us...
Asad: but complications toh hain na...
Zoya: haan lekin woh sab baad ki baat hai, abhi toh mai theek hoon na... ab aap btaiye you will waste time in thinking ya phir mera khayal rakhne ka irada hai...
Asad: of course I'll...
Zoya: what, will waste time... she asked with a hint of mischief...
Asad: and only my wife can joke during a serious talk...
Zoya: well here I completely agree...
Saying so she hit her forehead with his and smiled making him fall for herself all over again... AsYa rested their foreheads together and lived the moment but Zoya ruined the moment as she remembered something...
Zoya: oh shit...
Asad: what happened???
Zoya: we have to leave Asad...
Asad: but where???
Zoya: aap chaliye toh...
Saying so she took Asad with him and made way out of the house and towards Farooqui's place where Haider, Najma, Arooba, Ayan and Humaira were waiting for AsYa... Zoya owed an explanation to her Mr. Khan and to her entire gang so she called everyone to spill the beans...
Ayan: you are late Mona... he said seeing AsYa entering the house...
Zoya: so what Robert, I can be late...
Ayan: aur agar mai late aata toh yahan World War III start hojati...
Haider: and I guess we are actually heading towards that only...
Zoya: will you guys shut up...
Arooba enjoyed seeing a new Zoya, she didn't know her friend actually knew to smile and live freely... Zoya pulled out her cell phone and called someone while Asad sat there expecting for a few sweet family moments...
Ayan: ab kisko call kar rahi ho, hum sab yahin toh hain...
Zoya: woh mai...
Rohan: Zoe ne itne months ke baad secret meeting arrange ki hai toh chief guest ka wait kar rahi hai Ayan aur kya...
Rohan cut her off and entered with a smirk on his face, Zoya immediately pulled him in a hug while Asad rolled his eyes upwards... Rohan and Zoe were best of friends but if any stranger could have seen them together he would consider them as a couple and he literally hate seeing his pregnant wife with her best friend...
After doing some chit-chat Zoya finally revealed the reason of their secret meeting... Asad who only had a hint about Zoya's doing, closed his eyes in disgust when Zoya told him how she left and he hated himself for behaving like a jerk that day... Haider and Ayan got angry as Zoya hid everything from them too, were not they partners in crime??? While Rohan was the only one who heard everything carefully instead of reacting...
Asad: tum ne promise kiya tha tum mujhe sab btaogi...
Zoya looked down as she didn't have any answer and cursed herself for literally forgetting about that promise...
Rohan: guys you can discuss this later but right now we need to catch that mystery guy...
Haider: Rihan is right Asad...
Asad looked at his wife one more time and sat back to his place while Haider and Rohan asked a few questions like how it started and how that mystery guy approached Zoya and all...
Ayan: it means that guy knows everything...
Zoya: mai aur Asad kahan jaate hain, kya khaate hain aur kya peete hain, she knows everything...
Rohan: she??? tumhe kese pata woh koi ladki hai...
Zoya: I know her name too... she replied calmly...
Asad: then what the hell are you waiting for... he jumped in angrily...
Zoya: because you won't believe...
Asad: tum kehna kya chahti ho...
Zoya: Sara is behind all this... she said shocking everyone...
Asad: are you out of your mind Zoya... Sara ko mai school days se jaanta hoon woh aisa nahi kar sakti...
Zoya: mene kaha tha aap yaqeen nahi karenge...
Asad: it's not about believing or not yaar, tum khaam kha us bechari pe ilzaam laga rahi ho...
Zoya: first of all, she is not bechari and can prove her guilty...
Asad: I can't believe tum Sara pe shak kar rahi ho...
Zoya: mujhe shak nahi yaqeen hai Asad...
Ayan and Rohan shared a worried look while Haider decided to jump in the conversation...
Haider: relax guys...
Asad: what relax Haider, tum jaante ho yeh kya keh rahi hai...
Haider: and what if she is right???
Asad: come on yaar, Sara ko yeh sab kar ke kya milega...
Zoya: aap!
Asad stopped... he knew Sara from many years and respected her a lot... he was aware of her feelings but he clearly told her about his love for Zoya and being a true friend she happily accepted the truth... she stood by him in good and bad times and today his dearest wife blamed her... he was not ready to accept it but the moment Zoya said "aap" he stopped defending Sara...
Asad: are you sure???
Zoya: more than anything Asad... she herself gave me the proof, apko pata hai na us din mera aur Sara ka jhagda hua tha aur us ne kaha woh aap ke liye kisi ki bhi jaan le sakti hai...
Rohan: sorry to interrupt but I think Sara is innocent here... she loves Asad then why she will try to kill Asad???
Asad: yeah she should have attacked on you Zoya...
Zoya: but...
Asad: don't take me wrong but please think logically...
Zoya: Asad aap mera yaqeen kejiye, Sara ne hi yeh sab kiya hai...
Asad: I trust you Zoya and somewhere you are right too but please don't jump on the conclusion because I don't want you to regret in future...
Zoya nodded in yes while Asad decided to discuss everything in detail just to make sure either Sara was involved or not...
Najma: ek minute bhaijaan, we are missing something... apko yaad hai Mumbai mai bhi kuch hua tha...
Asad: Mumbai mai???
Najma: haan bhaijaan, hum sab gaye the na Rohan ke parents ki anniversary pe...
Zoya: haan Asad yeh sab usi din hi shuru hua tha...
Asad: but woh jo koi bhi hai usse hamare saath hone se masla hai, agar woh Sara hai toh how's that possible kyun ke tab kisi ko nahi pata tha mai aur Zoya shadi karne wale hain...
Haider: yeah... tum dono ki shadi ki baat koi nahi jaanta tha...
Ayan: and if I am not wrong Sara was not in that party...
Zoya thought for a few minutes and while Asad and Haider discussed the expected possibilities when Rohan remembered something...
Rohan: wait a sec guys, Asad tum ne us party mai dad ko khud apni aur Zoya ki shadi ke baare mai btaya tha...
Asad: haan toh...
Rohan: toh ho sakta hai wahan kisi aur ne bhi sun liya ho...
Ayan: haan bhaijaan apka koi business rival bhi ho sakta hai...
Asad: no way Ayan, it's anything but not rivalry...
Zoya: hmm yeh rivalry nahi hai... either it is love or hatred...
Asad immediately looked towards Zoya, hatred, was that possible??? After spending an hour they concluded that AsYa should be more careful especially Asad...
Next day, as expected AsYa visited the other four doctors and luckily Dr. Sheikh gave them a hope to cherish the pregnancy period without any fears... Asad was more than happy, that one hope was enough to put him at ease and his fears jumped out of the window...
On the other hand, heartbroken Sara came back to Delhi and found her father Saleem Rizvi at home... she was in no mood to discuss anything at that moment so left to her room but Saleem followed her... Sara locked herself in her room while Saleem kept on banging the door... being a caring father he told his servant to bring the spare keys and unlocked the door only to find his daughter crying bitterly...
Saleem immediately ran towards his daughter and hold her by her shoulders and asked the reason of crying... Sara looked at her father with tearful eyes and spoke...
Sara: I lost him again dad... I lost him again...
Saying so she rested her head on her father's chest and cried her heart out while Saleem sighed dejectedly...
