Opening sliding glass doors of the balcony of his lavish suite in Bhopal's five star Hotel The Royal's Asad came out to get some fresh air. He was working on a project file for the past few hours & his muscles were stiff with constant working. Stretching his arms wide he twisted his neck side 2 side to relief his neck muscles & sighed when it helped.
He was an ambitious & ace architect who works in a multinational company as Chief Manager in the designing department. His Company was very happy with his work & in just few months he has made a strong position & reputation there.
His friends & Seniors applauds him while his peers often feel jealous & the female staff go gaga over his Greek god like looks. However he always takes their positive & negative criticism healthily, still that never bothers him because he knows he need to just keep focus on his work. Therefore he always keeps himself grounded not letting their praises get onto his head.
His Company was thinking to widen their business & was interested in building a new Office in Bhopal. And Asad was to design that building so he was working on that from past one month after the purchase of the land has been finalized.
He was relaxing himself when he heard some muffed sounds coming from somewhere nearby. He looked here & there but found no one. When he followed the sound he found them to be coming from the adjacent balcony of the next suite.
Holding the steel railing he tried to watch but got confused cause no one was there on the other side. He was about to step back when his ears heard a sobbing sound & he was sure it was some girl's sound. He stepped onto his toes to look inside & finally saw a girl who was dressed beautifully crying badly in the balcony.
He got tensed, confusion clouded him while millions of questions rose in his head.
What's wrong with her? Why is she crying? Who is she & What she's doing here? Is she married or ran away from her wedding with her lover who ditched her at last moment?
So many questions were there but he has answer for none. He knew pocking his nose in someone's matter is wrong & he never done that before but watching her like this curled up as a ball & crying inconsolably tugged his conscience to help her.
But will she want to take my help? Maybe she wanted to stay alone?
These things were swirling in his head but still, he just wanted to make sure she was fine.
He was about to move back, thinking she'll not like him to see her like this when she got up difficultly with the support of railing.
-What she's upto now? He thought & kept looking her keenly.
Soon his eyes widened seeing her pull her lehanga up to climb out all ready to jump off from the 20th floor of the Hotel.
Not thinking or taking a moment Asad jumped out of his Balcony into her's in a lightning speed to save her. His feet touched the floor for a mille second & the next moment he has his arms around the girl's delicate waist pulling her inside with all his might.
Pal, do pal, ki hi kyun hai zindagi
He felt a strange sensation when his hands touched her naked waist but the girls shrieks didn't gave him time to think over it. Due to the sheer force & speed both landed on floor with him under the girl, her back against his front.
Her hairs covered his face & he sighed in the fragrance of her shampoo, feeling happy that he reached on time, another second & he would have lost her. Hey where did that came from?
Iss, pyar, ko hai sadiyaan kaafi nahi
Her shrieks & nails which were scratching his hands to free herself brings him back from his thoughts. He quickly realises her & only than realised how tightly he had trapped her in his arms as if his life depended on her.
Toh khuda se maang lun,
-Leave me. She said turning around to face him.
And finally now Asad could see her face clearly earlier he saw her side glance a little only. But now seeing her from front up-close he completely lost his senses. She was the most beautiful girl he has ever seen. Even though she was not looking the best at the moment.
Mohalat main ik nayi
Her eyes were red & swollen from all the crying & her liner has rimmed her eyes black at the edges, her cheeks has stains of tears & her running Mascara yet he was sure she would look beautiful without any make up.
Rehna hai bas yahaan, Ab door tujhse jaana nahi
He was busy in his lala land when a hard slap on his cheek broke his reverie.
-How dare you? How dare you touch me?
Asad was stupefied with the sudden slap & sensation it left on his cheek.
-Kon ho tum...Who are you? & how you came in this room? She asked frantically.
Asad was already angry with the slap & her question that she asked in accusatory tone made him angrier. No one has dared to talk to him in such tone & here she was accusing him when he saved her life...
heck! he was a fool to help her Asad thought in his mind.
He was all ready to give her a peace of mind for attempting suicide & accusing him while she should thank him but her next question shocked him.
-Did he send you too? She asked him fearfully. The way she was shaking with fear & vulnerability hugging herself in a protective manner while tears were continuously running down her face shook Asad to the core.
Jo tu mera humdard hai...Jo tu mera humdard hai
-hey... Asad tried to touch her arm but she quickly crawled back shaking like a leaf. Seeing her state Asad pulled back his hand & felt genuinely bad to see her condition.
-No...No one send me... My name is Asad... I live in your adjacent room... I saw you were about to jump... so just came to save you... Trust me no one sent me... I'll not harm you I promise. Asad calmly explained trying to make her believe him with the gentle-less of tone.
She looked at him unconvincingly, still feeling difficult to trust anyone after facing the biggest betrayal of her life.
Suhaana har dard hai
Understanding her mental situation at the moment Asad tried again..
-I understand You don't know me... I m a stranger for you... but believe me I have no bad intentions... I just want to help you... I know you must have a very strong reason to do that... but please don't punish yourself like this... atleast think about your family. Asad reasoned but she started crying more hearing him only.
-I have no family. She said bitterly in between tears.
Asad felt worse now. Her pain & vulnerability filled him too with grief.
-Koi toh hoga na aapka? Ammi Abbu?
-They are dead since i was a young. She said shaking with sobs & Asad closed his eyes realising the extent of pain she must be feeling.
Jo tu mera humdard hai
Sighing to get some strength he asked another question again so he could help her.
-Than how come you are here? In this dress? Did you ran away from your wedding with someone?
She looked up at him hearing this & Asad shuttered feeling like a fool.
-I'm...I'm sorry! Look I know I have no right to ask you this but i just need to know this to help you. Please tell me? What's your name? And what are you doing here?

The whole night Asad kept trying to find out but she never spoke anything. She didn't wanted to be left alone as she was fearful of someone unknown coming to get her. Neither was Asad in favour of leaving her alone or she might attempt something reckless once again.
After a lot of pleading & persuasion he succeeded in agreeing her to stay in his suite for the night. He promised that there was no need to fear as it was a double bedroom suite with complete safety. The girl was looking miserable & he didn't want to leave her alone like this.

Next morning she looked a little better but was still not ready to open about last night. Asad ordered Breakfast for both of them, but she didn't even touch it.
After thinking a lot & a bit hesitation Asad finally spoke...
-I don't know why you don't want to talk about last night, but i understand your sentiments & i won't force you... But i request you please don't be so hard on yourself... please eat !!
She looked at him & he nodded encouragingly on which she put a morsel in her mouth making him smile.
Teri muskurahatein hain taaqat meri
-Actually I know a place, ...it's an organization which helps girls who faced problems in their lives & it's really good... It's a very helpful & reputed organisation... I m also connected in that organization you know as a Volunteer... So i know everyone their & they are all nice people... and I... I was thinking If you want i can talk there for you... See please don't get me wrong but i know you will not like to stay with me like this & you said you don't have anyone else... He was speaking hesitantly shuttering many times.
-No You are right! She finally said anything for the first time in the morning in a sweet soft voice. I can't go back from where i came... You please leave me in this place.
-Very well than we'll just go after you are done with your breakfast. Asad smiled which was not reciprocated & than both looked back into their plates.
-Zoya
-Hmm?
-My name is Zoya...
Mujhko inhi se ummeed mili
-Oh !... Nice name. He smiled again & when she again looked back into her plate without any reaction he cursed himself.
What's wrong with you man ! Why are you making fool of yourself?

The car journey was silent. Zoya kept her eyes down on her folded hands in her lap. She was now changed in a plain peach suit which they got from her room from the little bag that she was carrying. Seeing the room & her bag raised questions again in Asad's mind but he didn't asked in order to not make her uncomfortable.
Their car stopped at a signal & the roadside kids came running to sell flowers before the signal turns green again.
A small girl, who looked weak & was dressed in old dirty frock, carrying a basket full of roses, came to their window...
-Sir.. sir, please buy na sir... it's just for 20 rupees... please sir...
-Sorry beta... I don't need it.
-Please sir... See they are so fresh... just take one for your wife. She'll get happy... she said pointing towards Zoya who was looking at them & get shocked just like Asad.
He was about to refuse but when he saw Zoya who was looking emotionally towards the girl he remembered her saying last night that she has no one, & now seeing between Zoya & this girl pinched his heart painfully.
Chaahe kare koi sitam ye jahaan
Turning around he brought a bunch of Roses & paid her heftily. Zoya couldn't help but look at him in admiration.

Their car stopped at Aashiyana Organisation & both moved inside after parking it. Leaving her in the waiting area Asad went inside to meet the head of Organisation. Sometime later Asad came out with a lady who was in late forties dressed simply in a salwar suit.
Zoya rose as both of them made way towards her.
-Zoya.. She's Dilshaad Khan head of this organisation, she manages everything here... & Mam she's Zoya.
Dilshaad smiled kindly to her & hugged her gently which Zoya reciprocated emotionally...
-Welcome Zoya... Waise toh i wish no girl needs to seek help in such organisations but I assure you this is no such place... We are all family... & from today you are also part of this family.
Inme hi hai sadaa hifaazat meri
-Thank you.
-There is no need to thank beta... This is the first rule here... that there are no thank you's... because a family is that who stays there for each other... now that you are also my family there is no need for formalities.
-Ok than i leave her at your care than... I m sure you'll take good care of her?
-You don't need to worry Asad... She's my daughter now. I'll personally look after her.
-Thank you. Asad said to which Dilshaad raised her brow making him shutter shaking his head. No i mean... thankfully someone called her at that very moment saving him the scolding.
He turned towards Zoya once she left.
-You'll be fine right? He asked uncertainly?
-Yes i guess... She's nice!
-Yes she is! ... Zoya... please take care of yourself... & remember one thing no reason or person is so important that you give away your life for that... It's really precious... please promise me you'll not pull that stunt like last night?
-I promise i'll never leave hope.
Zindagani badi khoobsurat hui
He smiled exhaling noisily.
-That's the spirit... I'll see you around... & call me if you need anything my number is there with Dilshaad Mam..Ok?
-Hmm.. she replied with a nod.
-wait i'll be back.. saying so he quickly ran outside.
Few minutes later he came back with something in his hand. Zoya looked confusedly trying to find what was he hiding behind his back. Soon she startled when not troubling her much Asad forwarded the bunch of yellow roses they brought earlier in front of her.
-No no... don't take me wrong please... yellow symbolizes friendship & i just want to be your friend. I'll be happy if u accept me.. my friendship i mean & if not than...
Jannat ab aur kya hogi kahin
She gave a hesitant smile for the first time since they met & Asad truly felt happy seeing a slight progress. Taking her smile as yes he forwarded roses towards her which she accepts with a faint Thank u & when he hmmed disapprovingly raising his brow Zoya remembered the new rule no thank you's.
