Zoya threw open the door to ADA Designs just as Asad was about to pull it open from the outside. The result: It ended up smacking Asad right in the face. He rubbed his nose furiously screaming 'OW' and Zoya's eyes widened with shock.
Zoya - (muttered) What you playing at Allah Miyan?
Asad - (hearing that all too familiar Allah Miyan had him clenching his fists just as his disbelieving eye's snapped up to hers. Furiously. Staring at her incredulously)YOU!!
Zoya - Nahin Nahin Jahapanah! Maine yeh jaan boonke nahin kiya. I swear, yeh sab ghalati-
Asad - GHALATI! Yeh aapke liye ghalati hai? YEH SAB AAPKE LIYE GHALATI HAI! AAP TOH KISSI DIN KISSI KA KHOON KARKE BOL DEINGI SORRY ALLAH MIYAN GHALATI SE HOGAYA. MAINE JAAN BOOJKE GOLI NAHIN MAARI!
Zoya - AUR ALLAH MIYAN AAP TOH ITNE AKDU HAIN KE AAPKE LIYE KOI JAAN BHI DE DE TOH AAP KAHEINGE THEEK SE NAHIN DI..PHIR SE DEKE DEKHAO!!
Asad - (stepped towards her, his eyes narrowing dangerously and that all too familiar dangerous gleam in his eyes, that he was about to explode returned) Aap (Zoya stared left and right, weighing her chances of survival and then having no choice she shoved her milkshake and fries in Asad's chest pushing him away from herself a bit, causing the milkshake to topple over and fall on his gorgeous sweater a bit)
Zoya - Peace offering! Please Zille Illahi meri jaan baksh dijiye mujhe deevar me mat chanvayee! (just as Asad looked up from his sweater, Zoya ducked beneath his arm making a run for it while Asad was left holding her fries and milkshake, staring at her retreating back. He just shook his head muttering 'Miss Farooqui' too exhausted to even be angry at her and so he just sighed staring at the milkshake and fries before stepping in to the building and tossing the food away. That's when he heard a slight giggle behind him causing him to turn around with an eyebrow raised. Ready to tell off whoever it was that had the audacity to laugh at him and his plight but instead he found his heart burst with happiness and delight. His eye's softening considerably. The yearning in them obvious. A small smile played on his lips seeing the smiling face of Anaya Khan)
Anaya - What was that? (Pointing to the door) and who was that girl? She seemed quite beautiful from the back of her head (smiled coyly as Asad took a seat across from her) and from the way you couldn't keep your eyes off her face.
Asad - Aisa kuch bhi nahin hai.
Anaya - Oh I disagree yeh kuch bhi nahin, nahin ho sakta. All I see is a girl open the door, bang it in your face, argue with you, drop her milkshake on you and still walk away ALIVE. That's not the angry business tycoon I've heard of you to be. She must be someone special to have the audacity to mess with you.
Asad - She's a Musibat. That's all! (He shook his head irritably but there was a smile on his face. Could it be that her antics were beginning to amuse him) Khair, usse choriye. Aap batayee. What brings you here? Are you here to try to convince Ammi to make your lehnga? (Anaya nodded and Asad gave her a small smile)
Asad - I'm sorry this is so hard for you. Sorry that you have to come and request for it because of what happened between (but he couldn't finish saying Abbu and Ammi and Anaya just stared at him incredulously)
Anaya - Are you kidding me Azlan- (Asad's eyes snapped towards her and she bit her tongue looking at him immensely apologetic) I'm sorry. Bas, Aadat nahin haina..
Asad - (nodded) I understand. Once again (shrugged) you have HIM to thank for that (and by HIM she knew he meant Rashid. But she had nothing to say in Rashid's defence so just gave him a bittersweet smile)
Anaya - Sach to yeh hai ke yeh tum logon ka barapan hai that you and your Ammi are willing to even CONSIDER this after what my family did to you, your Ammi. Your Okay with your Ammi making my lehnga? (Asad nodded)
Asad - I just don't understand one thing. Why is it so important that Ammi make the lehnga. I mean if I know your family they wouldn't want this, it wouldn't even be a possibility for them to consider then..why? Why the sudden urge for this?
Anaya - (gave him a small smile) My..Saas wants this-
Asad - Your - (Before Asad could continue, the door opened and Dilshad walked in to the office)
Dilshad - Asad, Sorry I got held up. Zoya bhi abhi wait kar kar- (Anaya and Asad both got to their feet just as Dilshad's smile faltered a bit seeing Anaya standing there)
Asad - I uh..I'm going to go make a call (He stepped back before walking off and Anaya smiled at Dilshad who just gave her a small smile in return)
Dilshad - What can I do for you?
Anaya - Aunty..I, I know you probably want nothing to do with me. After what my father, my family did to you..You..you probably hold that against me too. But I, I just wanted to ask you. No request you..to please..if you can find it in your heart, please leave your feelings for all that he did to you aside and treat me like any other client. To please just, save my engagement and make me a beautiful lehnga, like you are known for. Please aap yehi sochiye ke aap mera nahin Aisha ka lehnga bana rahee ho. Aur aaj aapke saamne main nahin, Aisha khari hai. Apni sagai ka lehnga maangne ke liye. Please yehi sochiye ke Aapke saamne aapki sautan ki nahin Aap hi ki ek aur beti kharee hai. Apne maan baap ki taraf se maafi mangri hai aur bas ek pyaara sa, graceful and Classic Dilshad Khan Lehnga maang rahee ho (Dilshad laughed with a smile in her face and was just about to nod when her PA came up to her)
PA - Ma'am, Mr. Khan has been waiting in the conference room for 20 minutes- (Dilshad narrowed her eye's)
Dilshad - Asad..Why is he-
PA - No Ma'am. Not Mr. Khan..but- (the all too familiar voice Dilshad heard next, chilled her to her bone. It was the same voice she had been yearning to hear for 25 years and it still affected her just as badly)
Rashid - Mr. Khan. (Anaya's eyes widened in disbelief over seeing him there and just as Dilshad's eyes were beginning to register her shock, understanding that he was actually standing before her and it wasn't just a figment of her imagination she saw him slowly begin to walk up to her. Dilshad's eyes watering up with each step he took towards her. Just as he came to stand right before her, his own eye's swimming with tears upon seeing his lost love before him Dilshaad took a step back, remembering all that he had done to her and that Asad was right nearby. He would blow a fuse seeing him here. He was about to turn around to walk away when suddenly Rashid's hand shot out, stopping her from leaving. Dilshad let out a soft gasp and the damn broke letting her tears spill over, not having expected him to do that.
Rashid - Dilshad please, main jaanta hoon ke tum naraaz ho. But please, ek baar meri baat sunlo..please (Dilshad closed her eye's as she felt her heart beginning to betray her again. It was this very voice and the way he begged her that was her undoing. That had her giving in to his whims no matter how ridiculous they were and what they cost her. She felt herself melting and turning around to doing exactly the same today, unable to say no to him when precisely at that moment the door to the shop opened again and Shireen, Razia, and Maya walked in. All stopping dead in their tracks upon seeing Rashid there, HOLDING DILSHAD'S hand. All 3 of theirs, Rashid Dilshad and Anaya's faces paled while Shireen looked on in denial and Maya and Razia in complete shock. Unable to understand what was going on exactly. Whilst Maya needed to understand before making any conclusions, Razia didn't. Oh how she had waited all these years to get a chance to put Dilshad in her place and now that opportunity had presented itself she was going to jump at it.
Razia - Arre Wah. Lagta hai humne yahan aake ghalati kar di Shireen. Jinhe aana tha, jinhe manana tha woh toh subah savere hi aa pauhanche. Tab bhi jab hum sabne unhe mana kiya tha yahan aane se. Dekh lo, tumhare shauhar ne to had hi kar di. Ek parayee aurat ka haath pakar ne ki khatir unhone toh tumhari beti ka rishta bhi dao pe laga diya (Anaya's eyes watered up as she looked away from her father, ashamed and disappointed. Razia's accusation holding some truth after all. He did come here despite everyone telling him not to and he was jeopardizing her relationship if anyone else had caught him with Dilshad. As soon as Razia said that, Dilshad pulled her hand back)
Razia - Nahin Nahin..Ab haat kyun chora tumne? Baaki sab to chor hi chuki ho sharam haya izzat, kamaz kam haat to pakri rehti..(stared at her up and down in disgust) ek paraye mard ka. Kissi aur ke shauhar ka. (Dilshad's eyes collided with Rashid and he looked away, unable to hold her gaze) Arre bilkul bhi ghairat nahin hai kya tum mein? 25 saal beet gaye par ab bhi tumhe yeh paraye nahin lagte? Peecha kyun nahin chor deti tum iska, koi aur mard kyun nahin dhoond leti tum apne liye!
Maya - Bas Kijiye Razia Bi! Kya bole jaa rahee hain aap. Aapko koi haq nahin hai Dilshad se aise baat karne ka. Unhe kuch kehne se pehle aapko apne ghar mein dekhna chahiye (stared at Rashid in disappointment) jab apne hi doosron ko apne khandaan ki izzat pe savaal uthane ka mauka de dein toh kissi aur se kya shikayat karna..
Rashid - (not being able to bear seeing the disappointment in her eyes) Bhabi aisa-
Razia - (not liking that the blame was shifting to Rashid) Rashid Miyan ko kya bol rahee ho tum Maya. Jab aisi beghairat aurtein mardon pe daure daaleingi toh mardon ko behakne mein waqt hi kitna lagta hai? Iss jaisi Bazaroo aurtein toh- (and then the lion roared, making them all flinch and their hearts grip with fear. He had been here the whole time and had heard every single disgusting word uttered towards his mother)
Asad - BAS!! (They all looked towards him as he walked up to them. His eye's not leaving his father's ashamed face for even a second. Oh, how he absolutely loathed this spineless man!) (He then redirected his attention to Razia. His eye's holding so much venom, he looked completely off balance. His sanity and frame of mind questionable with the anger, the hatred and absolute disgust towards these people running through his being. His jaw clenched painfully and his whole face contorted with rage. Each muscle tensed in his body) Agar aap aurat na hotin toh Bakhuda main aapki zubaan keench leta.
Razia - Kis Kis ki zubaan keencho ge Asad? Kis kis ko khamosh karwaoge? Iska bas chale toh yeh toh saari rangraliyan manane ke baad apne yeh magarmach ke aanson baha le taake iski harkaton se iska khud ka daaman ganda na ho. Par aisi aurton ke daaman kab tak saaf reh sakte hain!
Asad - (stared at his Ammi who was looking down ashamed. Unable to hold his gaze lest she see the same doubt and accusations in them. Each tear of hers piercing through his heart. Blinding him with fury and numbing his senses) Meri Ammi ka daman kitna paak hai iski safai mujhe aapko dene ki zaroorat nahin hai. Aap apni ghatiya soch apne paas hi rakhiye. (Dilshad's eyes snapped to his. Disbelief and relief both fast washing over her as she let out a grateful sigh)
Dilshad - Asad mera yakeen karo, mujhe toh pata hi nahin tha ke Rashid yahan aane waale hain. Main toh yahan sirf files lene ayee thee aur phir Zoya ke saath movie dekhne-
Razia - Wah! Tum toh bauhat acha natak karti ho. Doosron ka natak aur filmein dekhne ki kya zaroorat hai tumhe! 25 saal ho gaye hain Dilshad..25 Saal!! Ab toh inka peecha chordo. Kab tak ek doosri aurat banke inki zindagi mein aag lagati rahogi tum! (Dilshad just closed her eyes crying silent tears while Maya held her face ashamed. Shireen was just staring at Rashid in disbelief and Anaya at all of them, scared at how things were escalating)
Asad - Aap iss aurat ki burayee kar rahee hain. Iss aurat pe ilzaam laga rahee hain jisne barson pehle apna shahur aapki behen ko khairat mein diya tha. Aur aaj aapki beti ka rishta aapko khairaat mein de rahee thin-
Dilshad - Asad Khuda ke liye-
Asad - Nahin Ammi!! Aapko inn gire hue logon ko safai dene ki zaroorat nahin hai. (Looked back at them) Pehle toh main phir bhi maan leta, Ammi bhi maan letin aur aapki beti ka rishta bacha lete hum. Aapke liye nahin. Balke (stared at Anaya's tear stained face) Apni behen ke liye. Par ab. Aapke iss barapan ke baad (shook his head, his eye's filled with angry tears too) You can forget about it. I'm sorry Aapi. (looked towards Rashid) I guess you have one more thing to thank him for. I hope aap mujhe maaf kar sakein par meri Ammi ab aapka Lehnga HARGIZ nahin banayeeingi (All 6 sets of eye's stared at him in shock. Anaya's pleading with his as Maya held on to her to give her faith that they would find a way to handle it) now you have exactly 30 seconds to get the hell OFF MY PROPERTY before I call security to give you a royal exit like you deserve!!
Rashid - Asad, Asad please meri baat suno beta- (Rashid tried to grab his arm and he violently flung it off. Recoiling away from Rashid as he shocked everyone by the rage in his eye's. His whole body shaking violently as he bellowed suddenly)
Asad - MAIN AAPKA BETA NAHIN HOON!! NAHIN HOON MAIN AAPKA BETA!! (A hysterical and worried Dilshad held onto him genuinely afraid now, knowing Asad and his anger this could turn really ugly if it wasn't handled immediately)
Dilshad - PLEASE. KHUDA KE VAASTE AAP LOG CHALE JAYEE (She cast another worried glance in Asad's direction who now had his back towards them gripping the front of his hair with his hands to control his rage) PLEASE! JAYEE (She looked pleadingly at Maya who looked from her tears and panic to Asad's state and nodded immediately. She grabbed Razia's arm and Anaya forced both her parents, a very reluctant Rashid just continued staring at Asad, heartbroken over his words and his hatred of him but also of what he had grown up to become. He was just so angry. Shireen was just angry and felt humiliated and so walked out faster then anyone else. Now with the added worry of what she would tell Haseena and how she would save her daughter's engagement)(The minute the Door shut. Asad screamed in Agony as the fury he felt burnt him from within. He picked up a glass showpiece from one of the stands in the reception and flung it across the wall letting it shatter to pieces and he kicked the sofa violently. Dilshad broke down crying as she went over to him and tenderly touched his shoulder. He flung her arm away as well but Dilshad wouldn't budge. She kept on forcing him to look at her and he kept on resisting but eventually he just couldn't take the fury anymore and let his Ammi hug him to calm him down. The sight of his angry tears, his bloodshot red eye's making her heartbreak even worse. His whole frame trembled as she held on to him. Running a soothing hand through his hair, but his fury was too much to be calmed so easily. His hands were still clenched into fists behind here back and his muscles taut as he spoke through gritted teeth. The venom in his voice chilling anyone who heard him)
Asad - I hate him Ammi. I HATE him. (Dilshad closed her eye's and cried harder hearing the pain in his tone and then she felt him pull away from her a little more calm then before and he looked at her, wiping away her tears) Please mat royee Ammi. Aap jaanti hain aapke aanson mujhe andha kar dete hain. Ji chahta hai iss poori dunya ko aag laga doon. Uss har insaan ko mar daalon jiski wajah se aapka ek bhi aanson baha ho. Jisne aapko zara si bhi takleef di ho. (Dilshad made a fast effort to wipe her tears, not wanting to pain him any further and he closed his eye's painfully, placing a kiss on her forehead as a tear fell from his eyes as well. He then quickly pulled back, trying to give her a small smile but his lips trembled, breaking his strong stance) Aisha ko iske baare mein jaane ki koi zaroorat nahin hai (Dilshad nodded) Aap apni cheeze le lijiye, phir ghar chalte hain (Dilshad nodded, walking away, needing a minute or 5 alone and Asad knew she was going to cry on her own and she didn't want him to see or know. But he knew, and the thought alone made him burn with a fury not many had known. He clenched his fists as his whole body shook with rage again. Wanting to set the whole world on fire in that moment, and then he finally turned around to do what he had been wanting to in his mother's absence. He saw his mothers P.A standing there visibly shaken. Pale as a ghost. Obviously having heard everything thanks to the screaming of those wretched people. The sight of Asad's furious eye's and maddening rage only adding to that fright.)
Asad - If any word of this gets out. ANYONE hears ANYTHING about what happened here today or what was said and done (without a shadow of a doubt or any hesitation) You're fired. (The poor traumatized P.A just nodded eagerly, grateful he was at least giving her a chance, because by what people told her of him and his rage. She was sure he wasn't going to give her a chance also. But thankfully there was a more human side to him than most people. Even if the world didn't know it or tried to beat it out of him time and time again)

Khan Mansion - Aisha's Room:
A very nervous Aisha was finishing doing her makeup while Zoya looked around her room as if taking a tour. Now munching on a large pack of chips.
Aisha - (stared at her through the mirror) Zoya can you please for once stop eating! Aur tum dekh kya rahee ho. Why are you behaving like you're coming to my room for the first time. Kitni baar toh aa chuki ho, it hasn't changed since the last time you were in here.
Zoya - Yah but maine kabhi aapka room ghaur se nahin dekha.
Aisha - Dekhne waala hai hi kya, it's so simple.
Zoya - Yes but these pictures aren't. They're so interesting. Allah Miyan. Yeh jeeju hain kya..teenage mein? (She pointed to a picture of a young boy smiling away at the camera holding a diploma with a smiling Aisha's face over one of his shoulders and an as usual brooding Asad glaring at the camera over the other shoulder causing Zoya to roll her eye's) and let me take a wild guess, this cheerful person is Jahapanah.
Aisha - (laughed) He wanted to go home right after Jeeju's graduation because girls his age had just started learning what crushes were and they wouldn't stop coming up to him and blushing and giggling. Much to his horror Ammi had just told him we were going to stay longer.
Zoya - Allah Miyan! Kis kisam ke insaan hain aapke bhai sahab aapi! Ladke normally ladkiyon ke attention ke liye kya kya bewakoofiyan nahin karte, pagalon ki tarha behave karte hain. Aur yeh hain ke kitni bhi ladkyan mar lein unse door hi bhagte hain (shook her head) talk about a bad attitude.
Aisha - Not attitude Zoya, respect. He doesn't run away from them because he thinks he's too good for them..he-
Zoya - (rolled her eyes) unhe lagta hai shareef ladkiyan ladko ke peeche nahin bhagtin aur unke saath flirt nahin karti hain (Aisha laughed nodding)
Aisha - (laughed) The attention makes him uncomfortable. I think he feels objectified. (Zoya stared closely at a picture of him, looking like a complete Rockstar. Up on stage playing his guitar, his head thrown back and eye's closed. But the passion still visible as he was singing. Zoya blushed involuntarily looking at the picture of the 18 year old Asad, who was quite the looker back then as well)
Zoya - (whispered absent mindedly) Well he really can't blame us girls can he?
Aisha - (Raised an eyebrow) Are you calling my brother Hot?
Zoya - (her face flushed and she began stammering to cover up the slip of her tongue. Surprised at her own comment) Nahin. I was just making an observation. I mean aapko toh pata hai main kabhi jhoot nahin bolti (Aisha raised an eyebrow at her. It really was hilarious to see the conviction with which Zoya made that claim) aur Allah Miyan ki banayee har cheez ki khoobsurti ko appreciate karna chahiye. Ab..yeh na maanna ke Mr. Khan ko khuda ne bari fursat se banaya hai yeh toh khud se hi jhoot bolna hua na (Aisha stared at her with an open mouth and Zoya hurriedly changed the topic, now flushing red) uhm waise yeh kab ki picture hai Aapi?
Aisha - (her smile vanished) His last concert.
Zoya - (surprised) Concert?
Aisha - He and his friends used to have a band in college. (Shook her head) I've personally never been to any of their concerts but from what I've heard, they were DAMN good. This was his last concert. Bhai went as usual. He was like their biggest fan and supporter. Never missed a concert never missed a chance to encourage them. Always encouraging Asad to chase after his dreams because he knew that Asad had a very special gift. His passion. And he wanted to make sure Asad's dreams were fulfilled at any cost (Zoya's ears rang with words and bits from Asad's speech at IMA about chasing after your dreams)
Zoya - But he never got to fulfill them did he? Aapi, he's so talented, if he loved singing so much (seeing Aisha's face fall) aisa kya hogaya ke unhone gaana chor diya? What happened?
Aisha - Life happened Zoya. What else (Zoya just stared at her. Confused at her vague response. She really wanted to know what had happened but then didn't want to pry as well. It seemed like a very personal family matter)
Zoya - Aap kabhi unke concert pe kyun nahin gayeen? Don't tell me (her eye's widened) Jahapanah itne old fashioned hain ke unhone aapko apne concert pe bhi nahin aane diya. Aapko ghar baithke khaana banana seekhne ko bol diya?
Aisha - (shook her head) No Zoya, he begged me to come to every concert of his. Main hi mana karti rahee.
Zoya - Why?
Aisha - (her voice shook) look at the next picture (Zoya then looked to the next picture on the wall. of a girl on a wheelchair with Dilshad and Zoya's eyes widened further in disbelief. Her astonishment visible on her face)
Zoya - Yeh- (Aisha nodded) Kab..Kaise?
Aisha - I was hit by a drunk driver when I was small. It damaged both my legs. Recovery was possible, but with surgery. Tab..tab hamare paas itne paise nahin the..ke..hum surgery afford kar sakein. I was so angry, embarrassed about my disability. I couldn't go out with my friends, couldn't play games. I just hid at home all the time, with my brothers, my Ammi. My (sighed not wanting to talk about him) family, they were the only one's who didn't look at me with pity or treat me like I was broken. Unlike at school my brothers didn't exclude me from sports. They instead pretended to only be interested in games that didn't require moving at all. Thinking I didn't know they were doing it all to make me feel better. I missed out on so much because of that one accident. Including the chance to see my brother singing on stage. I was so angry at everyone who could do as they please, go where they wanted, live life. I eventually wanted to drop out of college for the same reasons too but Asad didn't let me. The most he agreed was to let me go part time which is why I finished medical college late.
Zoya - (Her eye's filling with tears for Aisha's pain, seeing Aisha's tears) Phir ab kaise-
Aisha - Phir, the same old fashioned brother of mine as you called him. The angel Allah has sent into our lives. Woh london chala gaya and he began earning in pounds for us. Tab hamare halaat thore bauhat change hue. Slowly slowly as we opened businesses and he began making investments he saved up enough to call me to London and have my surgery done. (Flicked away a tear) He gave me a new life. He gave all of us a new life. A chance to start over. Unfortunately he forgot about himself. And stayed back, stuck in the past himself. Woh doosron ko khushiyan deta rehta hai aur khud apne hi andheron mein jalta rehta hai. Zoya aaj jo tum yeh sab dekh rahee ho. Yeh makaan, gaariyan, paisa, izzat..yeh sab toh aaj hai, ab hai. Asad ki mehnat, uske khoon paseene ki banayee jannat hai. Warna usse pehle toh hum (shook her head and Zoya came and enveloped her in a tight hug from behind. Her heart aching for this beautiful family she was slowly coming to accept her as own and even if she didn't realize it yet, her heart swelled with even more pride and respect for Asad)
Zoya - I'm sorry (Aisha shook her head) I didn't mean to pry.
Aisha - You don't have to be sorry Zoya. Tum toh meri behen jaisi ho. I don't mind telling you all this. In fact (smiled at her in the mirror) I've always wanted someone like a little sister (her eyes holding a longing look. How unfortunate that she had a sister but at the same time she didn't) who I could share all this with. Bachpan mein, I used to keep it all bottled in. Be angry at Asad, Ammi and even Bhai at times when I would get frustrated with my own disability. But they were always patient with me. No matter how angry I got. How unreasonable I was being or sometimes even rude. Now, I wish I could've seen into the future and see how beautiful Allah would make my life, make up for all that I missed out on and I wish I didn't give my family such a hard time back then. Wish I could be as strong as Asad. It would've been hard for them to see me in that state as well not just hard for me, but I (shook her head)
Zoya - Aapi. Ab un baaton pe pachtane ka kya faida. I'm sure Phupi, Jeeju and even your unreasonable younger brother understood your plight. They knew how hard it must've been for you. Aur waise bhi. Negativities pe focus karne se kya faida. You should focus on the bright side. Der se hi sahee, par aapko aapki saari khushiyan, sapne. Sab mil rahe hain. All that matters is that you're here. Healthy and happy and so so beautiful. (Aisha smiled at her) Ab please aap jaldi kijiye, Aahil bhai may show himself to be a sweetheart but he has quite a temper and the one thing he can't tolerate is being held up. So-
Aisha - (her earlier panic and nervousness came back) Zoya main theek toh kar rahee hoon na, Asad ko pata toh nahin chalega. Do you think I should change my mind and not go. I don't want to upset him o-
Zoya - AAPI, CALM DOWN! Agar aap aise panic karogi na to Jahapanah ke saamne hamara pol khul jayega! Do I think you should go YES, WHY NOT. Do I think you should sneak out like this, NO. But you said yourself, if it's out of town, Mr.Khan won't let you go with the driver and he isn't here to take you himself and won't even trust Aahil Bhai with your responsibility (rolled her eyes) so he leaves us no choice. (Shook her head) seriously, that man is so confused! Khud doosron ko iss position mein daalte hain ke woh unke rules ke khilaaf jayen by imposing such absurd rules and then khud hi naraaz ho jaate hain!
Aisha - (shook her head) you don't know Zoya his rules are not completely irrational and absurd. They stem from his own experiences. Tumne woh Rogue waala hadsa dekha na, that could have easily been us. (Zoya pouted, still not happy that Asad was indeed right)
Zoya - So do you not want to go then? (Aisha too pouted unhappily)
Aisha - I do but-
Zoya - No Aapi. If you want to go then there's no room for if's ands or buts.
Aisha - Par hum Asad se bacheinge kaise? You still haven't even told me the plan (Fear gripped Zoya seeing the mischievous smile forming on Zoya's face. This didn't seem like a good idea now)
Zoya - Waise Aapi (as she began walking to the door, Aisha following her) Jahapanah ka college band ab kahan hai, woh sab? Does Ayaan know of them? (Aisha narrowed her eyes at her, not knowing why Zoya wanted to know)
Aisha - I think so. Why? Why do you wanna know?
Zoya - (shrugged hiding a smile) Oh, no reason.
A few minutes later - Downstairs:
Asad threw open the front door of the house stalking in, still shaking with fury when he nearly went colliding into Zoya who seemed to be rushing out of the house along with an accomplice, in a bhurka. Her friend immediately gripped Zoya's arm. Zoya screamed and jumped a mile in the air seeing her angry Jahapanah come charging in right at her. Asad stopped himself just in time from colliding into her and narrowed his eye's at her and then her 'friend' before his furious and irritated eye's snapped towards Zoya's face just as Dilshad walked in also looking between Zoya and her friend.
Zoya - Hey Phupi! (Gulped nervously before casting a small glance in Asad's direction) Woh, yeh, this is my friend uhh (the girl nudged her and in her panic she uttered the first name that came to her mind) Zaisha (Her 'friend' rolled her eyes inward under bhurka while Zoya bit her lip before immediately playing it cool again) She..She also goes to IMA..(making a very serious and responsible face) we were studying. Ab woh apne ghar jaa rahee hai. Main usse chorke aati hoon.
Asad - (not looking at the girls) Ms. Farooqui (Zoya and Aisha held their breaths) With all due respect to your friend, please try and keep your study session at the library. I don't allow anyone who I don't consider family into my home. I don't mean any disrespect to you or your friend but I can't risk my Ammi and my sister's safety for anyone. Unless I know them very closely and trust them near the people who matter the most I don't welcome them into my home. I'm sure your friend is a nice person but I don't know her at all so please, I'm asking you as a guest to please respect the rules of my house (Dilshad stared at him in an admonishing way but he was way too furious to care about being polite at the moment. Zoya nodded a little too eagerly, agreeing a little too easily and began immediately pulling at her friend's hand and Asad side stepped like a respectful gentlemen to let the lady go. Zoya gave him a polite, innocent smile and closed her eye's in fear as she walked past him and she could feel Aisha trembling beside her. Just as Zoya and Aisha reached the door Asad stopped in his tracks to his bedroom, as a doubt came to his mind, his eye's looking almost speculative as he turned around and stared at the girls back)
Asad - (taking a chance) Aisha
Aisha - (Spinning around) Yes (Dilshad's surprised eyes snapped to Aisha's face and Zoya stopped, clicking her tongue in disapproval, wanting to band her head on a wall and Aisha's right along with hers. Asad's eyes openly displayed his disbelief and feeling of betrayal while Aisha's whole body went cold with fear and regret at being caught. She trembled with fear as she took off her veil since her cover was blown anyways but not daring to look up. Not having the courage to look into Asad's eyes.
Zoya - Mr. Khan Woh-
Asad - Of course. I should have known. Aise wahiyat ideas sirf aapko aa sakte hain. I can't believe aap meri masoom behen ko jhoot bolna sikha rahee hain. Humse baatein chupana sikha rahee hain.
Dilshad - Nahin Asad, Zoya ne koi jhoot bolna nahin sikhaya-
Asad - Ammi abhi mere saamne ussne Aisha ko apni dost Zaisha karke bulaya. Usse iss burkhe mein chipa ke ek party pe bhej rahee thee meri marzi ke khilaaf. Aisha ne toh aaj se pehle aisa kabhi nahin kiya par jabse kissi ne usse ghar se chipke bahar jaana sikhaya hai (glaring right at Zoya daring her to defy him) Honey Singh ke concerts ke liye tabse Aisha mein bhi himmat aa gayee hai Ghar waalon se chipke bahar jaane ki. Aap jaanti hai na ke ghar se chipke kaun jaata hai.. Woh jo jaante hain ke woh kuch ghalat kar rahe hain. Aur aise log jo sahee ghalat jaante hue bhi ghalati karein unka anjaam uss ladki ki tarha hota hai jo Rogue se kidnap hui hai. Usse bhi pata tha ke uske maan baap usse jaane nahin deinge woh bhi uski apni bhalayee ke liye tabhi woh chori chupe gayee aur anjaam kya hua? Wohee jo uske maan baap ne kaha tha.
Zoya - Mr. Khan, aap uss ek incident ke peeche hamara ghar se bahar jaana kaise band karsakte hain. Aisha Aapi party mein jaana chahti hain aur Aahil KHUD unhe leke jaa rahe hain mujhe nahin lagta iss mein kuch bhi ghalat hai..kuch bhi nahin hoga-
Asad - Aapko kaise pata! Aur main aap jaisi khud garz, selfish aur badtameez ladki ki baat kyun sunon? Aapko jo karna hai aap kijiye, jahan jaana hai jayee but keep my sister out of it! I don't want you influencing her! I can't believe you told her to lie to me about sneaking out to a party!
Zoya - (ignoring the tears that were fast rushing to her eyes) Allah Miyan! Maine toh jo kiya aapke world famouse ghusse ki wajah se kiya. Pehle toh Aisha Aapi party mein jaana chahtin thin aur aap unhe akele jaane nahin dete tabhi humne aapse chipke jaana ke liye yeh bhurke wala idea socha aur ab woh aapko sach bol rahee hai confess kar rahee hai ke woh chipke jaa rahee thee par aap tab bhi usse samajh nahin rahe, usse dant rahe hain naraaz ho rahe hain us pe. Kaise..Kaise hitler type ke bhai ho aap (Asad lunged towards her dangerously. His anger at his father and his family also threatening to be unleashed on her by the untamed, wild and furious glint in his eyes. Dilshad immediately interceded and hid both the girls behind her as Asad continued glaring at Zoya.)
Asad - Agar Aapi itna hi jaana chatin thin toh all she had to do was ask (Aisha stared at him and she could see he meant it. That only further increased her guilt) I would have cleared my entire schedule for her. Par nahin, we're would be the fun in that for Miss New York. Aapko kya laga mujhe pata nahin chalega ke bhurke mein woh hai.
Zoya - Haan. (Asad, Dilshad and Aisha stared at her in astonishment) kyunki thori der mein woh waapis bhi aa jaati aur aapko pata bhi nahin chalta aapko lagta woh apne room mein hai ya kaam pe.
Asad - You know what. Aisa sab AAPKE ghar pe hota hoga aapke parents ke saath chalta hoga. But not in my house and not in our family. Your parents obviously don't care much for you to instill values in you, raise you right, which is why you've become like this. It' clear you have no family values. Aapko dekh hi pata chal jaata hai ke aap ke morals aur traditions kaise hain. Aapka khandaan kaisa hai. Your parents don't seem to care about WHAT you do, how you dress, who you meet, who your friends are, NOTHING. They probably don't care about which parties you sneak of to and with who BUT I CARE!! I care about my sister! My Ammi raised us with better values than this, better morals. And I won't have a girl like you come in and ruin my family or my sisters life just for the sake of a small cheap personal thrill or laugh. You know what, Aap jaise selfish logon se mujhe- (Dilshad just stared at him as realization hit her like a ton of bricks. Understanding the hidden meaning and accusation behind his words. Understanding where his judgement was coming from. While she stared at him Asad stared at Zoya and the tears of humiliation and insult falling from her eyes pierced his heart. He didn't have the courage or the heart to use the word hate/nafrat towards her or the courage to withstand her tears. So he did what he did best in such scenarios. Turn on his heels and walk away. An embarrassed and ashamed Dilshad turned to face Zoya to apologize but she turned around and walked away to her room as well just as the doorbell rang. Dilshad looked towards Aisha to answer it but Aisha was too busy glaring in the direction of Asad's bedroom. Her anger, disappointment and sheer annoyance visible on her face. Dilshad opened the door to a smiling Aahil who held a bouquet of flowers in his hands)
Aahil - Asalamualaikum Aunty
Dilshad - (forced a smile) Walaikum Saalam
Aahil - I came to collect Aisha for the party (Dilshad nodde .and Aahil stared at her weirdly for a second) Are you okay Aunty? You don't seem too well.
Dilshad - (smiled) I'm perfectly fine. Just a little tired. (Aahil nodded) Aisha. Aao Aahil's here (Aisha looked about ready to protest saying she wasn't going to just go to the party after all that but the stern look in Dilshad's eyes had her reluctantly agreeing. Understanding not to make a show in front of Aahil who had come all the way to their door step to get her.)
Aahil - (laughed) Nice choice of attire but you do know it's not a religious event right. You may feel a little out of place there (Aisha couldn't help but smile as she opened the buttons on the front of her Bhurka, removing it. The sight before him leaving Aahil breathless. She was so beautiful. The color of her dress complimenting her skin colour and features perfectly. She was perfection to him in that minute. The most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. Graceful, elegant and simple. The moment, the moment he took in her beauty completely, was a moment of clarity. In that one moment, his heart had the answer to Zoya's question from this morning and it scared him to say the least. He saw Aisha stare at him self consciously. A little doubtful and so he gave her a reassuring half smile before handing her the bouquet of flowers)
Aahil - for you. You look very beautiful. In fact you'll probably be the most beautiful girl at the party (Aisha blushed prettily and his heart sank deeper. So he looked away clearing his throat making Aisha look at him a little confusedly again. But then she thought she was probably over imagining his changing emotions and thought nothing of it) uhh, Aunty is Zoya around? (Dilshad and Aisha both panicked slightly. What answer would they give him if he saw her tears and questioned them about it. After all, they were responsible for Zoya)
Dilshad - uhh, I think she's sleeping.
Aahil - (looked to his watch and shook his head) This girl I tell you. (He then pulled out a box of chocolates from behind himself and gave it to Dilshad) when she wakes up can you give her these? (Dilshad gave him a small smile and nodded as Aahil turned to Aisha) Shall we? (Aisha smiled at him and nodded as Dilshad waved at them and they waved back)
Dilshad - Have fun (She smiled seeing them off before shutting the door. Her smile vanishing immediately as she stared between both Zoya and Asad's rooms worriedly)
