Chapter 5

Dilshad constructions:

Next day Zoya reported there sharp at 9. She was greeted by Rohan and he showed her the workplace and introduced her to other employees as the head architect of the project. Zoya had some formal conversation with all of them since she is a reserved person without wasting much time in socializing she started with her work.

Zoya thinking"hope so I won't get to see that akru's face but that's not possible I work in his company I have to face him but also I'm glad it's a multinational company I will not have to report him directly I can coordinate with Rohan or Tanveer ma'am"

Zoya came out of her thoughts hearing some voice

Zoya(immediately):good morning ma'am

Tanveer: sorry to disturb you I just came to ask do you need a pillow or comforter so that you can relax and continue with your day dreaming

Zoya: no ma'am...I was just.

Tanveer: whatever! Listen complete this design(handing her the half completed design)

Zoya: ok ma'am! But what are the requirements

Tanveer: I'm the HR over here not the architect, no one has the time to train you here that's why we have recruited an experienced architect. These are the requirment report and partially finished design details go through it and also make the report for our civil engineers, I want it ready by 12 also I'm handling this project so once you are done come to me no need to disturb Rohan or anyone.

Zoya thinking"Allah Miya! It's already 9:30 how am I suppose to complete it with report by 12"

Zoya's trance was broken by Tanveer's assistant Sheena who came to them

Sheena: maam Rohan sir is calling you in conference room

Tanveer went from there followed by Sheena

Sheena: maam she is the one you were yesterday talking about ?

Tanveer: yes, she is that bloody Zoya Siddique

Sheena(evilly smiling): don't worry ma'am, she will not survive with us for long.

Tanveer: I know dear, jammy himself will fire her before the contract period(she smirked evilly)

After few minute, Zoya was searching for Rohan and Tanveer but she didn't find either of them. She saw Sheena in her desk, so she went to her.

Zoya: Sheena sorry to bother you but have you seen Rohan or Tanveer ma'am?

Sheena(reluctantly): well they both are busy in a client meeting. But why are you searching for them? I guess maam already assigned you your work.

Zoya: yeah, but if I would get a drawing board and also a drafter for designing it would have been great

Sheena: In your PC all the software, something like AutoCad, Nanostation.

Zoya: its Microstation

Sheena: yeah something like that! All that is available in your system

Zoya: I know! Actually, I'm more comfortable with drawing board and drafter but then I will also develop the soft copy of the same using the software

Sheena thinking "which century she is from! Well well well there is one more person who enjoys working in all these old school things"

Sheena(extra sweet voice): yeah sure! All the stuff whatever you need is arranged upstair in the right side cabin so you go over there and complete your work.

Zoya:ok but I think it's better if I continue here only

Sheena: NO! I mean it's arranged for architects only...I informed you if maam says anything then don't blame me.

Zoya just nodded and went to the cabin as said by Sheena. She was in awe seeing such a big and professionally arranged cabin

Zoya: not bad! Such a big space only for a drawing board strange!!

Around 10 Asad entered the office, as usual, everyone greeted him and he reappropriated them with a smile but what was unusual was Asad's eyes which were roaming all around the office as if searching something ;)

Asad: Rohan everything is arranged for the meeting

Rohan: yes sir! We can start it in our scheduled time

Asad went towards his cabin but stopped in halfway

Asad: we are starting with our project today so make sure everyone involved in this project is present in the meeting

Rohan: sure sir! Everything is taken care of

Asad started towards his cabin, again turned towards Rohan to ask him something but then without saying anything stormed towards his cabin

Rohan: sir wanted to ask me something? but then what! He is acting strange today

Asad thinking "idiot can't understand a single thing! If everything is taken care of then, are this new recruitments playing I spy with me! No punctuality at all I will show them toda..."

His thoughts were interrupted by the sight in front of him. He was shocked seeing Zoya in his cabin. She was not aware of his presence as she was completely engrossed in her work, her hair was annoying her so she had tied it up in a bun with his drawing pen and was measuring something with his drafter while she was holding the pencil with the tip of her lips.

Asad for a minute was just admiring her and her gestures which just seems like a cute school kid who is engrossed in her mickey mouse drawing. After taking his own little time he reluctantly coughed a little to make his presence felt in his own cabin.

Zoya immediately stood up seeing him and her pencil rolled down the floor. That's when Asad noticed his surrounding and his OCD hit him hard seeing his drafter arranged in the different corner of the drawing board, all the pencil lids were mixed and some drawing sheets were carelessly lying on the side table. It wasn't that messy but since we are dealing with Asad Ahmed Khan it's too much for him. He was about to say something but decided against it remembering her reaction after his 2 not so required outburst.

Zoya: how come you are here?

Zoya scolded herself for asking such a stupid question thinking,"he is the CEO he can go wherever he want...whats wrong with me"

Asad picked the pencil from the floor and went towards her

Asad: mind answering your own question

Zoya: I... I'm supposed to work here

Asad: here?...don't you think it will be odd if I go and work in your cubic and also I'm very used to with my cabin so sorry to disappoint you.

Zoya(confusingly): your cabin ?

That's when Zoya noticed the name plate over there and was completely speechless and bit nervous

Zoya: I'm soo sorry sir...i ..was not knowing...that sheen..i mean somebody told me ...drawing board...

Asad: it's fine you don't have to be so nervous about such a small thing.

Asad reaction almost calmed Zoya.

Zoya: I'm really sorry. I should go back to my desk.(she took the drawing sheet and was above to leave)

Asad: Zoya

Zoya turned around hearing him call her. Asad went towards her she went a step back seeing him nearing her, he raised his hand towards her ear. She tightly shut her eyes planning to scream if he does something. Asad controlled his laugh seeing her reaction, he just removed the pen from her hair making her silky hair bounce down. Zoya opened her eyes feeling her head light weighted and saw him holding the pen with a sexy smirk. There was an awakard silence which was broken by Tanveer and Rohan who came to discuss something with Asad.

Tanveer: what are you doing here?

Zoya: actually maam, somebody told me drawing board and everything is arranged upstairs for the architects...but I ended up in the wrong place.

Tanveer: you can't do a thing without creating a mess right!!

Rohan: you should have come to me there are no such arrangements and who gave you such info?

Zoya didn't want Sheena to fall into any trouble because of her so she tried to avoid the topic

Zoya: I don't remember as I'm new here...I was searching for you but you were busy in some meeting arrangements ..I'm really sorry

Tanveer was about to say something but Asad interrupted

Asad: it's okay! It happens ,since you are new here just cross check everything with Rohan(Zoya just nodded at him and Asad continued) and Rohan make sure whatever she needs is arranged here by tomorrow and whatever it is arrange more in quantity as well as quality so that any architects over here can use it according to their convenience all may not be user friendly with the software but they will have to make a soft copy of the same.

Rohan: sure sir! I will arrange everything by tomorrow

Asad: and Tanveer..

Tanveer: I will announce and also email everyone the same

Asad: good

Asad(to Zoya): as for today you can continue here

Zoya: it's just the matter of one day I will manage...I..i don't wnt to disturb you more

Tanveer: yeah Asad one day she can manage

Asad: I am not asking you!! I'm telling you...I don't want any compromise in work even its just for 1 day

Zoya didn't like the way he was ordering her but then she thought he is the boss so he can order her in professional terms besides she can't ignore how he supported her and indirectly saved her from Tanveer's wrath though it is professional she felt so good.

Zoya again got engrossed in her work and Asad, Rohan and Tanveer continued with their discussion. Asad was secretly glancing her, even Zoya was feeling the same but then she somehow resisted herself. All this was noticed by Tanveer who has the detective eyes when it comes to her so-called jammy and was fuming in anger.

Tanveer came to her cabin and threw the file on the table in frustration only the thought of them working in the same cabin was making each and every cell of her body burn n jealously. just than Sheena entered.

Sheena: maam is this clause fine..(showing her the file)

Tanveer: not now Sheena... just get lost from here!!!!!

Sheena: what happened ma'am?

Tanveer: that bloody architect!!! She is definitely up to something or else in such a big organisation how does she end up in jammy's cabin only.

Sheena: Asad sir's cabin? Wow! This means the plan worked

Tanveer(confusingly): what plan?

Sheena excitedly told Tanveer everything expecting an appreciation from her

Tanveer(shouted): are you bloody out of your mind!!!!you have any idea what have you done! Who told you to use that donkey's brain of yours!

Sheena(scared tone): I am sorry maam since nobody is allowed to go inside Asad sir's cabin in his absence except for Ayaan sir. I thought he will be pissed off seeing her there she will get a good piece of his mind.

Tanveer: piece of his mind really??? She managed to get the piece of his cabin you fool!! Next time doesn't even try such things..who knows she will end up getting a piece of his heart...no, I won't let it happen

Sheena: I was just helping you ma'am but I'm really shocked Asad sir is so possessive about his cabin how come he is sharing it with her

Tanveer: just shut up! They are just sharing a cabin not a bedroom to react like this and it's just for one day.

Sheena thinking"what maam said about Ayaan sir supporting her, Asad sir threatening her and now sharing a cabin with AAK I won't be shocked if she ended up sharing his bedroom also. Wow it would be fun seeing all this drama"

Tanveer: just one week! Bloody one week and she will be out of DC.

Asad's cabin:

Asad and Zoya were busy in their work though sometimes secretly glancing at each other, there was a awkward silence in the room which didn't last long as Ayaan entered the cabin

Ayaan: Bhai! I tell you this visiting site is such a pain in head...but you don't worry I finalised every...

Before Ayaan could continue he noticed Zoya over here and was pleasantly very surprised

Ayaan: hey miss Zoya!! Hope you are having a good day

Zoya: yeah!(thinking"I had decided to stay away from your brother but ended up in his cabin and now totally struck over here what more good can happen with me") great day

Ayaan:you here?

Asad: vo actually Ayaan..what happened is

Asad narrated everything to him. In all this Ayaan was just smiling like a fool.

Ayaan: oh!this all happened...well I'm sorry I should have knocked before coming

Asad(sarcastically): okay! When was the last time you did that?

Ayaan: but now the things have changed right(winked at Asad).

Asad gave him a dangerous look.

Ayaan(immediately): I mean now unlike before I'm dealing with the big project so I should be little more mature and learn some discipline.

Asad: yeah! You badly need it

Zoya smiled and collected her design

Zoya: I will meet Tanveer maam and come

Ayaan smiled at her and she left from there

Ayaan: bhai you are brilliant...you have to train me in this too..how you managed it so fast.

Asad: just shut up Ayaan I didn't do anything. All were waiting for you lets get started with the meeting.

Ayaan just made a face but then again followed him towards the conference room.

Zoya:maam here are the design(handling the cd and file) and these are the soft copy and the report

Tanveer(rudely): okay! Hope all the requirements are taken care of, you didn't mess up over here

Zoya: not at all maam I have taken care of the client's requirement perfectly

Tanveer: good for you!we are starting with our new project meeting assemble in the conference room with other architects.

Zoya: okay,(thinking"is she always so rude or I'm the exception" she went from there).

Here meeting went really well with Asad giving the detail description of the project and explaining everyone their roles and responsibilities and finally he concluded the meeting

Asad: so everything is decided now! This meeting really went long it's already 7, you all can start with your work tomorrow. Let's wind up for today.

With that, he left from there glancing at Zoya once who was busy noting details in her notepad.

After some time all of them left for their home including Zoya who gave one last look to Asad who was completely engrossed in some discussion with his client in the call. She just smiled to herself and went from there.

Zoya's house:

Zoya entered her home and went to her room where Humeira was reading some book.

Zoya: wow my gudiya is turning to be a full book butterfly day by day.

Humeira: its book worm baji

Zoya: but you are my little butterfly right!

Humeira(chucking): but who needs it when you are here(she closed her book) now you tell me, how was your first day? Did anything happened?did that AAK and Chimpanzee troubled you? Tell me

Zoya: only if you will let me speak dear! You were right I was just overthinking everything

Humeira: I'm relieved though I said that but I was really worried

Zoya(smiled): I knew u were... but u don't have to everything is normal and I spoke to abbu since Akram went back he will be home by tomorrow evening.

Humeira: okay!great

Zoya: you continue with you studies I will make coffee for us

Humeira: I'm almost done...baji you must be tired I will make the coffee

Zoya: who told you that I'm tired I'm totally fresh, nobody can make a better coffee than me and only coffee is not enough I will make some pasta also

Humeira: indeed she is loving her new job(shouted) baji I will help you!

Khan mansion:

Asad and Ayaan entered the home, Asad came and sat beside Najma in sofa followed by an exhausted Ayaan

Asad: how was your day tamatar(side hugging Najma)

Najma: it was awesome bhaijaan..everybody liked my designed winter collection.I will show you both tonight and you both are attending my college fashion show next month...NO EXCUSES

Asad: okay! Done

Najma: done? I thought I will have to do a lot of convincing and emotional drama..seems like my bhaijaan is in a great mood today! What's the matter ha?

Asad: nothing! Just like that

Najma turned towards Ayaan and saw him half sleeping in sofa

Najma: Ayaan bhaijaan what happened to you, you get tired so easily look at Asad bhaijaan he is looking so fresh as if again going to the office.

Ayaan(sleepy voice):he finally got his booster I guess..I'm yet to find mine

Najma:what!!

Asad: shut up Ayaan! Ignore him..kuch bhi bolta rehta hai

Dilshad came to them

Dilshad: Asad it has not been a year he has joined the office..look at my poor baby don't load him with too much work.

Asad: ammi half day he was not there in the office! All he did today was visited one site and attended a meeting he should get used to all this. Here I have completed 2 projects, that project meeting, and 3 conference call and at night I will be attending 2 more in which he would accompany me in 1.

Ayaan:no way!! Bhai, plss you manage it.I'm done for the today, tomorrow onwards I will be full energetic I promise...ammi plsss

Dilshad: okay okay you go and rest.. I will bring juice for you.

Ayaan: love you ammi! You are the best bhai(with that he stormed towards his room)

Asad: look how is he running ammi! Now what happened to his tiredness

Dilshad: it's okay Asad!you leave him, listen to me tomorrow we have to go somewhere

Asad looked at Najma from the corner of his eyes and she nodded in yes.

Asad: ammi suddenly I'm feeling exhausted too! I should also rest for some time, not tomorrow ammi maybe some other day bye my 2 cutie pies!

Dilshad: but when!! Okay, fine I will bring a juice for you too.

Dilshad just huffed saying"how come he always come to know whenever I fix his meeting with any girl"

Najma(controlling her laugh): bhaijaan is too brilliant ammi!

Dilshad: right!
