That's his love for his mother which has taken over him. Aahil is just hurt. As for Zoya, when she saw her daughter with a man, she first believed that they were in love and for the slap, she just understands Aahil as Asad acted the same when his father got killed. Her husband is angry and her daughters shocked, I think it's a bad time for her to get angry as well.
