Rehaan was just playing along with their stupidities until Asad told about the marriage. That's when he left in anger.

Zoya pretty much understood the last line of Asad. I think the reader's got confused. Both understood they want different things. Asad is not ready for forever. That's when Zoya said then it's nothing.
Basically in a way this was the end for them.
