Poor Mahira. She tries so hard to explain to the Khan family, this suitor of Kainat's , called Akram is bad news. But as fate would have it, all her proof goes up in smoke.

To give the family some credit, they did give Mahira ample opportunity to prove it, save for actually asking for the truth from Akram. Mahira stutters pleading for them to believe her, but no one is as endeared to her as yet. So she is sent away from the house, as the crooked Akram had managed to make all the evidence go away.

<On a personal level, I really find it objectionable that parents become so pitiful when it comes to marrying off their daughters. It's as though anything with that male organ is eligible enough. My father always says, My daughters are like roses in my garden. I will not let sell my beautiful roses to monkeys to be stepped on. Marriage is not Life. This Kainat is evidently the Jewel of the house. Surely they should have investigated the guy more.. with two fierce brothers and all.>

So poor Mahira has a dialogue with her conscience...

Abbu says "Never stay in a place where people don't respect you", I will go , Here they want me to hide my face all the time.

But...

Abbu also says, Never leave a needy person when they need you...

Abbu !! Why is your advice so contradictory !! One cancels out the other !!

An idea forms in her head, but before that she is bodily sent out of the house by the twin stepssisters.

Inside , Khan family discuss the evening at dinner. Both parents are very much embarrassed by Mahira's intervention and are thankful that it wasn't called off. And Mr. Zalim Darindhar chews on Mahira's name like a bitter pill.

Like a gust of fresh air, Amaad comes. Relax, It's not a big deal. This way we know they were serious about Kainat. There's no need to make a big tamaasha about it. And Hulk , there's no need to make that "I'm gonna drink your blood-face"

Brothers clash again and brought to peace by little sister. This family is very much held together by their love for this sweet girl.

Khan Begum dresses herself in preparation of her daughters engagement. We learn that today is also the day the Neeli Kachnar Phool is to bloom.

Cue: Hooo ... Creepy witch music... How quickly she is transformed into Sanam2 in anticipation... Oh Dear...!

p/s: How old is Amaad i wonder... he got sent off to his room like a little boy!

Precap: Mahira enters the house in a burqa. She tries to get Akram's phone for evidence. But she is caught by Azaad, and slapped hard by Khan Begum. Oh Dear...

Thanks for the update.
I have been following your posts occasionally ...& I have noticed you really know to bring out humour even in the dampest episode!!😆
Caught up with the episode now..It was good though the whole scenario is quite clich. But apart from that, a shout out to Mahira..After Zoya, I like Surbhi in this character. I so agree with you- the family is displaying a laid back attitude to Mahira's warnings. But I so liked that Amaad at least voiced out to give her the benefit of doubt. But I guess with all the rejections that Kaynaat has got, they just want to get it over & done with. It happens a lot in real life too.
And whats with the repeated "apne kamre mein jaao"😕 Hope we don't hear " Amaad , stand in the corner, face the wall & keep a finger to your lips..aaj no khaana" 😆😆
Rajbir is showing steady improvement, but still has a long way to go.
I wish Amaad has a haircut for his sister's engagement 😆😆
As of now, Mahira steals the spotlight.
PS: QH team really don't like the poor microwaves, eh?😆😆 If I am not mistaken, in all the seasons, there have been microwave issues right?

It does ... doesn't it? Its very frustrating to see people thinking just by getting married , a girl's life is all settled. far from it, she is thrown into a whole new different kind of life, depending on the inlaws... As a future mother in law, I am more concerned in finding out about the in laws than the future spouse...😆...

And whats with the repeated "apne kamre mein jaao"😕 Hope we don't hear " Amaad , stand in the corner, face the wall & keep a finger to your lips..aaj no khaana" 😆😆

Isn't it weird?? "AMaad !!! apne kamre mein jaaoo!!!" 😆 I mean he's such a big boy !!! And his baby sister is about to get married too !!
Rajbir is showing steady improvement, but still has a long way to go.
But he is improving by the day. I'm starting to like his deep baritone.
I wish Amaad has a haircut for his sister's engagement 😆😆
Hear Hear !! His curly hair is so ... distracting...😆

As of now, Mahira steals the spotlight.

OMG !!! I was thinking the same thing... "What do the writers have against the poor microwave oven !!? " It might as well be the box of impending doom...😆. Sanam was hurt using it twice, and now it destroyed Mahira's phone. 40 +years into the future and people never learnt the use of a microwave...😛

Even after 50 yes nothing changes ( including all the leaps)
Only marriage matters for a women
50 yrs back they made such a big issue about a 20 yr old nikhat's marriage after 50 yrs Kainat is in that position. Mahira should leave the house. She has a job & she should find a hostel to stay rather than staying with people who don't love her or respect her. The Khan family deserves all the heartbreak for not searching the background of the groom even after Mahira's warning.
Why all Gul Khan heroines are butting into someone else business? Khushi, Zoya, Sanam, Jannat & now Mahira
Only Seher was not like that. She minded her own business

I have not seen the episode. In fact not at all this week. Very busy week for me I have house guests again! I just wanted to comment on the regressive marriage obsession. Honestly what is wrong with people? 50 years in future and STILL obsessed with marrying the daughter off to any old D**k? I agree my little girl is my princess and I will never give her to any creep! My parents didn't give me to a creep. They married me to the man of MY choice when I was ready. So the same will apply to my daughter. But they were only Happy about me getting married to my husband coz they knew he was a good guy from a good family. They were certainly not interested in me marrying "anyone". But then I married after graduating Uni and working for a few years. Not some child bride! 😡

Don't know why it feels like QH land is frozen in time? The same things that happened to Nikhat is now happening to this girl? Same desperation to marry off daughter with "defect". At least here this girl actually has a handicap? But Nikaht was just dark skinned? But that was considered a handicap too! Mahira is clearly up in other people's business. It seems all Gul heroine's can't get out of Mahaan zone. Zoya was like that. Sanam as herself and even as Jannat was ready to get up in everyone's business. (Sanam was a little bit better as herself but as Jannat she was super nosy). Same applies to Mahira. I agree with AZ07, only Seher minded her own business. She only interfered when it applied to her own sister. That is all. But she was not into "solving problems of the world". Maybe coz from childhood she had to be practical and solve her own!

Full on Drama wala episode. was predictable, but still made for a good watch.
Good post Sage. And you've raised some very valid points.
Fully agree, this obsession with getting girls married off is too regressive. Its not like that in reality, at least not nowadays. Maybe in illiterate rural pockets, this obsession continues, but certainly not in educated and urban families like the Khan Begum and Anand Kumar Family.
The worst part was, no one, neither the parents nor brothers bothered to ask Kaynaat's opinion and fixed the mrg the moment groom said yes. And they all profess to love Kaynaat. One small scene asking her opinion before finaizing, would've at least made it look a lil legit.

Mahira, was right in her place, and the family right in their place. They heard out her part and agreed to see her proofs. Akram had manipulated everything beforehand, so both end up losing.
Mahira crying while leaving the house - was not really necessary. I didn't like that part.

I don't agree family was right completely
They gave Mahira a chance but just falling for Akram is enough? Shouldn't they do a proper groom search? Especially after Mahira's accusations? My marriage when it was fixed b4 an year even after being our relations my parents did a proper groom background check. Why in QH they fail to do so? And Mahira should mind her own business

For all you know, they might've done a groom check before inviting them over. Akram covered his tracks within a few minutes. Knowing that they were going to con the Naseer Khan family, they could've definitely put up a farce beforehand too.

When I said family was right, I meant they gave a patient hearing to Mahira, agreed to see the phone. And Zora categorically stated that Akram is not her Bf. So, it sort of proved that Mahria was lying or was in the wrong. In that circumstances, why should they disbelieve the family they're going to marry their daughter into.
Mahira minding her own business - Well, then there wouldn't be any drama.

@bold agree. I hate this when parents did not ask girl's opinion come on its her wedding too. And she has full rights to take decisions for her life.
