In my view...Marriage first should not be a compromise...warna shaadi hee naa karey.
Then if after marriage...it is on both Husband and wife to make this marriage work...but they have to be clear about their role...like they should have an understanding and trust...and also a co ordination..i guess...
Love is so Novel type in real life...but if you have the above...then it is essential..for a successful marriage.
