Part 17

Tanveer visits Ananya in d afternoon. They were having a great time chatting wid each other in her bedroom.

"How is ur relationship wid Asad now?" asked Tanveer.

"Asad is really a very nice guy. He takes great care of me. He did not hurts me. He has really changed n became our old Asad. I have forgiven him n Ayaan in my mind for kidnapping n forced marriage. We still bicker wid each other but we r on very good terms," replied Ananya not saying dat she has again fallen in love wid Asad.

"U surely love Asad so much, Anu. Otherwise why u will be not uncomfortable wid sleeping wid him. No girl can be comfortable sleeping normally n peacefully wid a person especially a man whom she hates. Also, u r not at all nervous wid him to sleep. Its not dat Asad is making u sleep next to him at gun-point but u urself is sleeping next to him on ur own. As for dadi, I don't think she come n check where u both sleep," said Tanveer.

Ananya thinks abt wat she said.

"Wat r u thing?" asked Tanveer.

"Wat u all said is very right. U know wat I again fell in love wid Asad," replied Ananya.

"Really?" asked Tanveer happily, "Then why r u not teln him?"

"I will tell him after some days cuz I want to surprise him in a grand way. After all he is my childhood friend before marrying me," replied Ananya wid a smile.

Ananya too hugged her back.

Next day, Ananya started going to work again as 4m some days she wud work a little but 4m home only. She has recovered fully. In d evening, all were sitting in d hall. Ananya recalls a funny childhood incident of Asad wen they both were 7.

Ananya n Asad were in 2^nd standard. Hindi lecture was going on. Hindi teacher was teaching some basic Hindi as it was their 1^st year to learn Hindi. She wrote a sentence on d board Main apne kaksha(class) mein jaa raha hu' n made Asad stand up to read it.

"Asad, padho board pe kya likha hai," said Hindi mam.

"Main apne kachha(underwear) me jaa raha hu," said Asad.

Everybody started laughing. Even Ananya who was sitting next to him was laughing. Asad was embarrassed very much.

"Asad, kachha nahi kaksha," said Hindi mam firmly.

"Kachha," said Asad.

Everyone laughed again. Asad cud not pronounce kaksha n wud end up saying kachha.

"Lagta hai ye apna kachha pehenna bhul gaya hai," came a boy's voice 4m behind.

"Shut up," said Ananya to d boy after turning around.

"Sab chup raho," said Hindi mam firmly, "Aur Asad tum kaksha thik se bolna seekhon. Abhi tum baith jao."

After lecture, Ananya whacked him on d head.

"Ouch," said Asad.

"Thik se kaksha nahi bol sakta kya?" asked Ananya annoyingly.

"Muje nahi jam raha tha," replied Asad.

"Tu thik se bolne ki practice karna," said Ananya.

"Haan," said Asad nodding his head.

Ananya started laughing recalling dat incident.

"Anu, why r u laughing?" asked Nazneen.

"Dadi, I rembered abt Asad wen he used to say kachha instead of kaksha wen we were 7," replied Ananya still laughing.

Everyone started laughing while Asad got embarrassed.

"How cud I forget dat?" asked Dilshad wid a laugh.

Just then, Ayaan came in d hall.

"Bhaijaan, nowadays u come 4m d door instead of d window," said Najma amusingly.

"Since bhaijaan married, I can't come 4m d window so I had to come 4m d door," replied Ayaan pretending to be sad.

Everyone including Asad laughed dis time.

"Why u all were laughing?" asked Ayaan.

"Cuz Ananya bhabhi was teln abt Asad's bhaijaan's incident wen he used to tell kachha instead of kachha," replied Najma still laugh.

Ayaan broke into laughter lukn at Asad. Asad glared at Ananya giving her i-will-kill-u look while Ananya just laughed at him.

"Bechaari ko kyu dara rahe ho, Asad?" asked Dilshad.

"Ye bechaari nahi chudail hai. Main nahi ye muje humesha daraate rehti hai," replied Asad.

"Chup baith, langoor kahin ka," retorted Ananya back.

"U both started again wid chudail n langoor," said Sikandar.

"Main apne kachha me jaa raha hu," teased Ayaan n laughed aloud.

Others also laughed wid him while Asad got up n went to Ayaan. Ayaan began running n Asad ran after him. After some time, Asad chased him n pushed him on a couch.

"Bhai, why r u after me only?" asked Ayaan sulkily, "Mona has started it."

Asad then luks at Ananya.

"Kuch sochne se pehle mere biceps k baare me soch lena," said Ananya in a sweet threatening voice showing her biceps to him.

Asad gulped pretending to be scared while others laughed. Asad who was still holding Ayaan started hitting him.

"Main hi akela bali ka bakra ban raha hu," said Ayaan sadly.

Asad stopped hitting him n sat next to him.

"How is Humeira? Uss kameeni Heeba ne fir se kuch nahi kiya na?" asked Ananya.

"Humeira is fine," replied Ayaan, "As for Heeba, if she does anything again then she will pay for it."

"Glad I got married to Asad instead of dat Heeba otherwise bhagwaan jaane iss ghar ka kya hota tha," said Ananya wid a sigh.

All became surprised at her making it seem as if she has forgotten in wat way she had gotten married wid Asad. She lukd so relaxed even comparing herself wid Heeba.

"I don't even want to think abt dat, Anu. I can't even imagine to marry a disgusting girl like her who can stoop too low to trouble her own sister," said Asad.

"Well, u don't need to imagine cuz u r already married to ur childhood friend," said Ananya.

All became surprised again making it luk like Ananya has no problem wid Asad now in being married to him at d way she is openly teln him dat he is married to her. On d other side, Ananya seemed to be giving hints to Asad n others wats in her mind abt Asad.

Next morning went smoothly wid everyone chatting happily at d breakfast. After breakfast, both Asad n Ananya went to their respective works.

In d evening, Asad returned 4m d office. He went to his room n saw Ananya sitting near resting her back to d wall hugging her knees. She was lukn sad. She stood to her place not reacting him cumn to d room as if she is unaware of him cumn in d room.

"Anu," said Asad.

Ananya got startled n stood up suddenly. Asad was puzzled wid her reaction.

"Asad, wen u came?" asked Ananya trying to be normal.

"Just now," replied Asad n asked, "U were so quiet. Where were u lost?"

Ananya's eyes widened which he noticed. Its her parents 26^th wedding anniversary 2mrw. She was missing them a lot. Now, Asad sense sumthn wid her quietness.

"Nowhere," replied Ananya trying hard to speak normally.

Asad lukd at her carefully n sensed dat sumthn is troubling her.

"Well, I am going to d washroom. Talk to u later," said Asad.

He tuk his clothes n went to d washroom. As he went inside, some tears flowed 4m her eyes which she was holding back due to Assad's presence.

After Asad came out, he saw her sitting at d side of bed wid her legs down. Her back was facing him. It lukd like she is unaware of him cumn out of d washroom after changing.

He went n sat near her.

"Anu, wat happened?" asked Asad softly.

"Nothing," replied Ananya getn startled being aware of him sitting beside her.

"Wat happened to her?" thinks Asad in mind, "Why she is so quiet n sad?"

She then got up. She need to get out of d room to avoid more questions.

"I am going to Najma," said Ananya n left d room.

Asad was not understanding wat was wrong wid her.

At night, Ananya was in d kitchen cooking along wid Latif n one male servant. Asad came near d kitchen to check on Ananya. He saw dat she was hardly talking wid anyone. She was talking only if it was sumthn related to cooking. Wen they were done cooking, Ananya told them to lay d table. After they laied d table, they left d kitchen for some work. Seeing Ananya alone, he entered d kitchen. Ananya saw him n got shocked.

"I am going to call everyone," said Ananya n turned to go.

As she tuk a step, he held her arm by her elbow 4m behind to stop her. She tried to free her hand only for him to tighten his hold.

"Everyone will come even if u don't go to call them. Anu, why r u avoiding me? Wat is bothering u?" asked Asad softly.

"Nothing," replied Ananya.

"Dats wat u r replying weneva I am asking u abt it," said Asad, "U r clearly lukn worried. Tell me wats d problem."

She shut her eyes fighting back her tears which were threatening to fall due to her eyes getn moist. She was trying hard to be normal. She was not understanding wat to tell Asad.

"Anu, why r u avoiding Asad n hiding 4m him wats worrying u. He is ur husband. U love him n plan to confess him soon then u sud tell him wats worrying u. See, how much he is getn worried for u seeing u like dis," said Ananya's HEART figure cumn before her.

"U r right. I sud not avoid Asad like dis," said Ananya in mind.

Before she cud tell further, others came for dinner n he left her hand.

All sat for dinner. Asad wondered wat Ananya was abt to tell. Throughout d dinner, Ananya hardly talked as she remained quiet n sad most of d times. Others were wondering wat happened to her. Asad was disturbed to see her like dis 4m d time he came 4m d office. She was not a chatterbox or blabbermouth but she was also not a mute button of TV. He is not liking dis Anu. Yesterday only, she embarrassed him wid d kaksha-kachha incident flashback. In d morning also, everything was okay. But now wat happened to her?

(Ananya recalls how her dad taught her to ride a cycle(medium-size) wen she was 6 n how her mom was feeding her wid her hands wen she was 5. More tears came 4m her eyes.

"I am missing my mom n dad. 2mrw is their 26^th wedding anniversary. After they married, I was born after a year. They used to love me very much," replied Ananya thru her tears.

Asad was shocked hearing dat. He remembered dat its Ananya's parents wedding anniversary 2mrw as he n his family wud also get invited to their wedding anniversary parties wen they were children. He lukd at Ananya who was crying continuously. If she is crying so much 2day how much painful 2mrw will be for her. Ananya lukd at Asad n recalls how her mom used to teach her n Asad cooking 2gthr n they wud chat a lot wid each other n how she n Asad wud spend time wid her dad 2gthr wen he wud help them in studies.)

(Asad cupped her face n moved her lock of hairs behind her ear. He then gently wiped her tears. Ananya was loving his care. They stared at each other for some time.)

They went to their room. They bumped into each other while going to their bed. She was abt to slip but he caught her in his arms on time. They got lost into each other. Asad cud see how innocent n sad she was lukn. Ananya cud see his care in his eyes.

"Asad, we sud sleep. Good night," said Ananya breaking d silence.

They straightened up.

"Good night," said Asad, "U sleep now. I will sleep in some time."

"Okay," said Ananya n lied down.

She cud not sleep as she was still remembering her parents n cried inside. Asad sat by her side. He was seeing d sadness which was still on her face. He held her hand n caressed it. He then kissed her on her forehead. Ananya loved his caressing n kissing her. She cud clearly sense him worrying a lot for her which amazed her. She slept after some time. After making sure she is fast asleep, he too lied next to her n went to sleep.

Next morning, Asad told others why Ananya was quiet. They all remembered n got worried for her dat how will she live 2day. Wen Ananya was making breakfast, Asad asked Zain's number 4m his mother n called him. He wanted to ask him wat to do wid Ananya.

Zain answered d call which was unknown number.

"Hello," said Zain.

"Hello Zain bhaijaan, its me Asad. I want to talk abt Ananya. She is very upset 4m yesterday," said Asad.

"Did u again do sumthn to hurt?" asked Zain angrily, "Ananya told me several times how u r not d same Asad who was her childhood friend. U made her cry several times."

"Bhaijaan, I am sorry. I realized my mistakes. I even apologized to Anu several times for my behaviour. Yes Anu. I call her Anu like I used to call her wen we were children. I have become old Asad who was Anu's childhood friend. U can even ask ammi n Najma to know dat I have really changed. I always liked Ananya but now I also started liking her in another way. I know her 4m 18 years. I can't get any other girl better than her. She cried a lot yesterday. Right now, she is cooking. I am worried for her how she will live 2day. Asad smiled happily dat Zain approve him for Ananya. Only Ananya accepts him now then it will be better.

After breakfast, Ananya was sitting on her bed n watching photos 4m an album which had her childhood photos, her parents photos n her photos wid her parents.

"He was angry at 1^st but then I told him dat I have really changed n how I like u. I told him dat I can't get any other girl better than u," replied Asad.

Ananya was again stunned at Asad daring to tell her bhaiyu dat he likes her.

"Wat did bhaiyu said?" asked Ananya.

"He said dat he will be happy for us if u have d same feelings for me," replied Asad.

Ananya was happy dat her bhaiyu approved Asad for her.

They left d house n got in Asad's car. Asad 1^st drove to Ganesh Mandir. They removed their footwears n went inside. They joined their hands to pray to God.

"O God, plz give me strength to comfort my Anu in her pain. I can't see her in pain. I love her very much," prayed Asad.

"O God, I am so grateful to u for giving me such a loving n caring friend, husband n love like Asad. I love him very much," prayed Ananya.

They left d mandir after some time. Asad then drove to mazhar. They covered their heads n got inside d mazhar. Asad n Ananya recalled dat it was d same mazhar where they 1^st saw each other after growing up. They went in different sections for male n female to pray.

"Ya Allah, thank u very much for giving me my love in d form of Asad. He understands, cares n loves me a lot. He feels pain to see me in pain," prayed Ananya.

"Ya Allah, I am very happy to get Anu back in my life. I know I did wrong in marrying her dat way against her wishes. But I felt dat she has some love for me n was angry wid me thinking dat I agreed to marry Heeba. I married her like dat cuz I cud not let her do anything wrong which will give her a lots of pain. After some time, Asad n Ananya went in d garden of mazhar. Just then, they saw Gaffur n Razia around. Ananya was shocked to see him in person after 12 n 1/2 years.

They turned so dat atleast Gaffur cud not see them.

Razia's heart clenched seeing her daughter crying so much. She understood d reason of her crying so much all of a sudden which is due to d presence of her husband. But she was happy dat her husband Asad was consoling her caressing her head continuously. Razia started walking to them. Asad was very angry at Gaffur for showing up on dis day.

"Baby, plz stop crying," said Asad softly.

"Asad, he is such a lier. He told dat he can't see people's pain but he has given us a lots of pain. He snatched my mom n dad 4m me," said Ananya still crying in his chest.)

Ananya then felt another hand caressing her head. She turned around n was surprised to see none other than her chhoti mom. She stood up straight.

"Chhoti mom," said Ananya still crying n hugged her immediately.

Razia hugged her back n caressed her head n back lovingly.

"Baccha, stop crying. U know na I feel very hurt seeing u crying," said Razia softly.

Asad lukd at d mother-daughter duo n smiled happily.

"Chhoti mom, I hate him so much. He killed my mom n dad," said Ananya crying bitterly.

"Baccha, he will be punished for all his crimes. Plz, stop crying," said Razia.

They broke d hug. Razia wiped her tears.

"Chhoti mom, I am so happy to see u after so many years," said Ananya emotionally.

"U have grown up so much big. I am very proud of ur success," said Razia wid a smile.

Ananya also smiled.

She then lukd at Asad n said, "Ananya beta, Humeira told me everything abt both of u. Asad, ur way of marrying Ananya was wrong but ur intentions were right."

Razia talked like dat to avoid Ananya know dat she was d mastermind along wid Humeira behind her kidnapping. She had told Asad to tell her wen proper time comes.

"Aunty, I love Ananya & wateva I did was not meant to hurt her," said Asad.

"I told Asad abt my past wen I returned to Delhi wid mom n dad," said Ananya.

"U told him dat which u means u r also starting to like him," said Razia.

"I don't know," lied Ananya n added, "But I & Asad r on good terms."

"Dats very nice," said Razia.

"Humeira n Ayaan told me dat u were hurt a week ago," said Razia.

"Keep Humeira n others careful 4m Heeba," said Asad.

"U both also take care," said Razia wid a smile n went inside d mazhar.

"Lets go home," said Asad.

"Yaa," said Ananya.

They went to Asad's car n got inside.

"It was so nice to talk wid chhoti mom," said Ananya.

"Atleast, now I saw u happy after crying so much," said Asad.

She smiled at his statement.

They reached home in some time. Dilshad n Najma were in d hall.

"Anu, how r u feeling now?" asked Dilshad wid concern.

"Ammi, I saw dat man who I hate so much but I also met my chhoti mom," replied Ananya teln others abt their mandir n mazhar visit.

"It must be very hard for u. Cuz of him, u cried a lot," said Najma.

"Glad dat Asad n Razia were there for her," said Dilshad.

D entire day went smoothly. Ananya talked wid her family in New York who were very worried for her. She told dat she is fine n all r taking good care of her. She also talked wid Razia, Humeira n Ayaan. Razia n Humeira comforted saying her dat they r always there for her n they also can't see her in pain. Ayaan cracked some jokes to cheer her up. He even said some shayaris to her n then they started fighting on who says d best shayari. Ananya was not allowed to cook for lunch n dinner. Tanveer n Rohan also visited in d evening n spend time wid d family. They also made Ananya feel better. Others cooked Ananya n her parent's favourite dishes. Ananya felt so nice dat so much people care for her n truly love her. Cuz of them, she hardly cried n talked normally wid all of them.

At night, Asad made 2 coffees- one for himself n another for Ananya. He had stopped drinking black n bitter coffee since everytime since d time he became old Asad but still he wud drink it sometimes like Ananya drinks sometimes. He went in d garden where he knew Ananya was sitting on d bench. He handed her a cup n sat beside her.

"How u feeling now?" asked Asad.

"Better," replied Ananya.

"I can prefer my chudail Anu any day over crying Anu," said Asad wid a smile.

She also smiled. They sat silently sipping their coffee n glancing at each other now n then. After some time, Ananya recalls an incident which happened wen she n Humeira planned to celebrate her parents' 15^thwedding anniversary even though her mom was married to Gaffur. At dat time she was almost 14 n Humeira was almost 10.

Gaffur had gone to work. Pooja was 2 months pregnant which she was forced to carry on by Gaffur as she was pregnant wid a boy which he came to know by bribing d doctor.

In d evening, Ananya n Humeira brought cake n did some little decorations in d hall. They called Pooja n Razia in d hall.

"Wats all dis?" asked Pooja.

"Mom, 2day is ur n dad's 15^th anniversary na so we did all dis," replied Ananya wid a smile.

Pooja n Razia smiled.

"These kids r so nice na, Pooja?" asked Razia wid a smile.

"Yes Razia, these kids e really very nice," replied Pooja wid a smile.

Pooja kissed both Ananya n Humeira.

"I wish dad was here. I miss him so much," said Ananya sadly.

"I also wish him so much, Anu," said Pooja sadly.

"Badi ammi, now cut d cake," said Humeira wid a smile.

Pooja smiled n cut d cake. Ananya n Humeira then fed d cake to Pooja. Pooja then fed d cake to Ananya, Humeira n Razia. They were happy in their celebration wen Gaffur entered all of a sudden shocking others. He got angry seeing them celebrating Arjun n Pooja's wedding anniversary which he came to know due to a decoration on d wall.

"How dare u all celebrate Arjun n Pooja's wedding anniversary wen Pooja is now married to me?" asked Gaffur angrily.

"Cuz they r my parents. We can celebrate," replied Ananya.

"Baaji is right. We want to make badi ammi happy," said Humeira.

"U both girls have not done right," said Gaffur angrily.

"We have done right. Its u who came n spoiled our celebration," said Ananya.

"U both women have not taught these girls some manners," roared Gaffur.

Pooja n Razia were getn scared of Ananya n Humeira.

"Gaffur, let it be na. It was just a celebration," said Razia.

"Just a celebration?" asked Gaffur angrily, "Pooja is married to me now n these girls were celebrating her wedding anniversary wid other man. Wid whose permission they did?"

"Dat another man was baaji's dad n we don't need anyone's permission," replied Humeira.

Gaffur got more angry. He tuk out of his belt n started hitting Ananya n Humeira. Razia came forward to save d girls but Gaffur pushed her on d floor.

"Gaffur, leave d girls," shouted Pooja.

"Shut up, u wh**e. U r married to me & u were celebrating ur anniversary wid another man," shouted Gaffur back.

"How dare u call mom such a cheap name?" yelled Ananya angrily.

"Lower ur voice in front of me. I did not said anything wrong to her. I called her wat she is," replied Gaffur angrily.

Pooja got up to save d girls 4m beating.

"U r carrying my son so I can't do anything," said Gaffur, "But if u come in middle or sumthn happens to my son then I will beat them even more."

Razia got up n went near them.

"Gaffur, stop it. They r kids," said Razia.

But Gaffur was not stopping. He kept on hitting d girls. They were crying badly wid belt marks on their body.

"Gaffur, plz stop beating them," pleaded Pooja.

"Gaffur, plz stop. We apologize on behalf of them," pleaded Razia.

Gaffur did not stopped. Pooja n Razia were trying to stop him by catching his hand but he wud shove them off everytime. D girls were crying in pain. Gaffur stopped after 5 minutes.

"Explain these girls not to do anything like dis again n also talk wid me wid manners," warned Gaffur n threw his belt on d floor before storming off to his room.

Pooja n Razia hugged n comforted both d girls.

"Abbu is so bad," said Humeira thru her tears.

"We hate dad. He is such a monster," said Ananya thru her tears.

"Beta, we r sorry we cud not stop him," apologized Razia.

"Its not ur fault, ammi. U & badi ammi tried to stop us but he kept shoving both of u. We hate him," said Humeira.

"He even called u such a cheap thing," said Ananya angrily thru her tears.

"Wat he called?" asked Humeira innocently.

"U r very small so I can't tell u dat now," replied Ananya.

"Okay," said Humeira.

D mothers applied ointment to d children's bruises wid tears cumn in their own eyes seeing d children's pain n tears. How cud someone be so cruel to such innocent children?

Ananya started crying as she came to present. They had finished their coffee. Asad lukd at her crying suddenly n got worried. Ananya got up n went inside d house. Asad too followed her in d kitchen where they kept their empty cups in d sink.

"Anu, wat happened? Why r u crying?" asked Asad worriedly.

Ananya went to their room n he followed her.

"Anu, plz tell me wats d matter," said Asad cupping her face.

Ananya lukd at him thru her tears n hugged him. Asad was shocked as they hugged for d 1^st on growing up dat also Ananya is d 1^st to hug him. He hugged her back. He felt happy wid her hugging him. He did not hugged her till now as he wanted to give Ananya some space to take her time to realize his love for her n accept her marriage wid him. Ananya was feeling comfort n solace in his arms. She did not regret hugging him cuz she loves him.

"I hate him, Asad. He was such a cruel man," said Ananya thru her tears.

"Wat happened, Anu?" asked Asad caressing her head n back.

Ananya told him abt dat incident which she remembered some time ago thru her tears while Asad kept rubbing her back to comfort her. Asad raged wid anger at dat man. How cud he be so cruel to even children? He kept comforting her even though his heart was clenching in pain at d way Gaffur was abusing his wives n children.

They broke d hug. Asad made her drink some water. She still did not stopped crying. It was really very hard for Asad as she was crying a lot 4m yesterday. He can tolerate dat Anu who always bickers wid him n teases him for some reason but not dis Anu who is crying so much. Her family may also be having a hard in comforting her at these times. Now also, they may be worried for her in New York. He wiped her tears n kissed her forehead.

"Anu, plz don't cry. I can't see u like dis," said Asad softly.

She smiled at him for wiping her tears n kissing her forehead. She loved how he was teln her not to cry as he can't see her like dis. He also smiled seeing her smile.

"Anu, lets sleep now," said Asad.

"Okay," said Ananya.

They got on d bed n lied next to each other.

"Asad, can u plz put these pillows away 4m between us. I need to sleep in ur arms as I need ur comfort," requested Ananya.

"Okay Anu," said Asad getn happy dat she told him to put d pillows away.

He removed d pillows 4m between. Ananya moved closer to him n lied in his arms hugging him. He too hugged her back.

"Good night, Anu," said Asad.

"Good night, Asad," said Ananya.

Ananya was very well aware wat she was doing. Before confessing him in her planned way, she decided to show some little gestures of love 2wards him. Ananya slept after some time. Asad kissed her forehead n closed his sleep after Ananya was fast asleep.

#Ananya tells Asad dat she has forgiven him n Ayaan for kidnapping her n forcing her to marry him. She tells dat Tanveer is right dat they did wrong but not so wrong dat they can't be forgiven. Asad is happy wid her forgiving them. He tells Ananya d hidden truth behind dat plan. Ananya is shocked as he tells her everything.
