Chapter 59
The sun glittered at the edge at the sun casting a orangish shadow through the room. She looked up and smiled at her reflection in the mirror. Dressed in a green and red bridal lehenga and matching ruby emerald jewelry, her hair braided back with a jhumar on the side, she looked ethereal. She was excited! This was her day. She would marry the love of her life, be his forever. But, somewhere deep down, she felt the agony of her mother's absence. "Meri beti duniya ki sabh se khoobsurat dulhan banegi...Uss din meri zindagi ka sabh se khushi ka din hoga...Allah tume buri nazar se bacchaye!" Her mother's words pierced through her. She covered her ears! No! She can't think about her. Her mother didn't deserve to be remembered. Tears filled her eyes as she recalled all the harm that her mother has done. Why did Allah do this to her? She had everything! At least she thought she did. She had great parents, an amazing sister, and had been blessed with someone like Haider as her life partner. Then, everything had shattered the day she had realized the truth. Her mother had put a faade on for everyone, including her. Why? She would never understand. A knock on the door disturbed her. She saw her sister walk in and smiled. "MashAllah, aaj tum bahut pyaari lagrahi ho," Zoya said, as she removed some kajal and placed it behind her sister's ear. "Thanks Bhaji! But you are the one that's glowing," Humaira teased, suppressing her gloomy mood. Zoya grinned. "Yeh toh Asad keh pyaar ka aur mere baccho keh karate ka asar hai," she joked. "Do they kick a lot?" Humaira asked excitedly. "Yes they do, bahut active hai, which is of course good. Par raat mein bahut takleef hoti hai, sohne hi nahi dehte," Zoya complained. "Jab main unse milongi toh unki kabar longi," Humaira said and both the sisters laughed. "Accha chalo...neeche Haider tumara bahut besabri se intezaar karaha hai," Zoya said. Humaira checked herself in the mirror for one last time. Zoya fixed her dupatta and both the sisters walked out.
The wedding hall was decorated with red roses intertwined with green lights to match the theme of the bride and groom's dresses. Satin cloths of similar colors hung around the ceiling giving it a unique look. The family was waiting for Zoya to bring down Humaira with the men on one side with Haider and the women on the other, with a thin golden veil between them. As she went down the stairs, Zoya felt his eyes on him. She looked up to meet his chocolate colored obrs. They shared a tender smile. Zoya remembered how she had been in a similar situation a year ago and how nervous she had felt. She had been so unsure of her decision. But today, she thanked her almighty ever minute for guiding her to choose him. She knew that she could have never gotten anyone better. Nor she did she want anyone else. Because she loved him, all of him! With his sometimes intolerable possessiveness and his akduness, she laughed at her own thoughts. Humaira turned to her with questioning eyes. Zoya just shook her head as they proceeded further. Humaira was sure that her sister was going crazy. Here she was, having a heart attack at each step she took and Zoya was laughing away. She didn't know why she felt so nervous! She loved him but there was all these bizarre questions that ran through her head that she had no answers to, and that made her uncomfortable. Zoya noticed Humaira's uneasiness. "Just look at Haider and everything will be ok," she whispered. Humaira looked at her sister confused and Zoya nodded encouraging her. Humaira turned towards the hall and her eyes searched for him. Meeting his eyes, she felt like the storm inside her halt. He beamed at her and showed her thumbs up, telling her she looked beautiful. Humaira felt her cheeks turn red at his silent comment. Her sister was right as always, she did feel better. Zoya took Humaira to her seat and helped her get situated. As the Qazi started the ceremony, the ladies covered her head. Asad saw his wife pull up her dupatta over her hair. His angel, he thought as his heart skipped a beat. She was dressed in a tomato red lehenga with silver sequencing. It was one of the ones he had chosen for her. Though it was a simple in terms of design, his wife made it prettier. Zoya had insisted on something simple so she was able to move around with being pregnant. Her hair lay in curls whereas her neck and ears were adorned with matching diamond and ruby jewelry. The Qazi was asking Haider and Humaira their consent but his focus was only on her. He recalled how he had seen her through a veil on their wedding day. He remembered how hard it was for him to leave his past behind and accept this relationship. But, she has made it possible. Today, he didn't care about what happened. All he hoped for was a future with her and their kids. Asad saw his wife clap her hands and pull Humaira in a hug and he broke out of his trance. He congratulated his brother then others.
Soon, the veil was removed and the newly wed couple sat next to each other. As the family was gathered around them, Zoya stepped back. Today, she felt relieved. She has been so scared that Humaira would not get her love. She was afraid that her sister will have to pay her mother's sins. But, Allah hasn't done anything wrong with an innocent soul. Whatever had happened, it will be hard for everyone to move forward from that. The hardest for Humaira! After all, Razia was her mother. "Zoya," she heard someone call her name. Zoya turned to see her husband looking at her worried. "Kya hua?" he asked. She just shook her head negatively, telling him all was fine. "Phir tum roh kyun rahi hi?" Asad questioned. That is when Zoya realized she was crying. Zoya touched her cheek and saw that her hand was wet. "Yeh toh bas aise hi, aaj main bahut khush hoon," she said. Asad pulled her in a side hug. "Mujhe yeh nahi samaj aata keh tum sabh ladies jab khush hoti ho toh rohti kyun ho?" he teased looking at her then at the rest of the Khan ladies and Humaira who were also tearing up. "Asad," Zoya said as she playfully punched his chest. "I would feel a lot better if you smile," he honestly stated as he wiped her tears. Zoya broke out in a smile. "That's better," Asad whispered pulling her closer. Zoya clutched her abdomen as she felt one of the babies kick. Seeing the pain flicker through her face, "kya hua?" Asad asked concerned. "Kuch nahi! One of the babies is kicking," she said with a smile. Asad saw her eyes sparkle as she spoke about their children. He placed his hand on her protruding abdomen and felt the babies move. "Lagtha hai humare bacche bhi apni Ammi koh khush dekhar khush hai," Asad said. "Iss baat mein toh woh dono apne Abu pe gaye hai," Zoya said with a giggle. They both walked towards the family to join them. After some time, it was time for Humaira to leave. She hugged a teary Gaffur and left for the Khan mansion.
When Humaira reached the mansion, Dilshad lovingly welcomed her inside. As Haider was about to pick her up to take her upstairs, Zoya stopped him. "Itni asaani se nahi mere pyaare devar-ji, upar jaane se phele hume naig dehna padega," she said. "What? Bhabhi? Lekin aap toh mujhse baadi hai," Haider reasoned. "Toh kya hua? Main tumari ek hi saali hoon aur tum mujhe apni baadi behen bhi toh maante ho. So, I have two relationships with you, toh chalo jaldi se humare gifts nikalo," Zoya told him. "Ha Zoya, I totally agree with you. Iss naate se toh mujhe bhi naig milna chahiye," Nikhat said. "And yes Bhai, I am definitely qualified as main aapse choti hoon," Najma added. The girls laughed at Haider's gloomy face. "Humaira, at least tum toh meri side lo," Haider said, surprised at his newlywed wife. "Sorry Haider, on this topic, I am with the girls," she said, making Haider pout. Dilshad looked at Rashid and smiled. She silently thanked Allah for bringing so much happiness into her home. Dilshad then looked at her son who was complaining that this wasn't fair. "Haider, yeh unka haq hai. Maine gifts rake hai, ek minute," Dilshad said. She then told Usman to get the gifts from inside. The girls squealed with joy and Haider thanked his mother smilingly. Usman returned with the boxes and Haider gave them to Zoya, Nikhat, and Najma. "Aabh jasaktha hoon?" he asked. "Of course, hum aur kabab mein haddi nahi banenge," Nikhat teased causing Haider and Najma to turn red. Haider carried his wife up to their room.
Reaching their room, he placed her to the ground. The next instant, Humaira dashed into his arms. "Please, mujhe aise hi rehne do," she requested. Haider just held her there, knowing very well that she needed his support at the moment. "Kya main kabhi bhi pichle kuch dino mein joh hua woh bhul sakthi hoon?" she asked after a few minutes of silence. "Kuch waqt mein sabh theek hojayega Humi," he told her. "I hope so! Paata nahi Bhaji kaise yeh sabh jaankar bhi dusro kehliye itni khush hosakthi hai," Humaira wondered. "Shayad issliye kyun ki unke paas Bhaijaan ka saath hai," Haider replied. "Hmmm!" she said. "Aur tumare paas main hoon, hamesha," Haider promised. Humaira smiled hearing his words. She broke apart and looked into his eyes, "I love you!" Humaira declared. "I love you too. Now can we please not waste our wedding night thinking about all this?" Haider said. Humaira giggled as she nodded. The next instant, she felt his lips crash into hers. The kiss was fierce, passionate. She felt like she could feel his love in each cell of her body. He lifted her frame off the ground, not breaking the kiss, and walked to the bed. "You are so beautiful!" he whispered to her, as he broke away from her lips and trailed down to her neck. Humaira felt something new arouse inside her as she felt his lips on her neck. Reaching the bed, he carefully placed her on it. Removing her jewelry, he tendered her with kisses where the ornaments lay moments ago. Humaira closed her eyes as his lips traced the top part of her cleavage as his name escaped her mouth. Haider broke away and looked up at her. "Humi...main chatha hoon tum mujhe dekho," he commanded. She flickered her eyes to open to see an igniting passion inside him. "Agar tum chathi ho keh main ruk...," he said. "No!" she interrupted. A smile graced his lips hearing her urgency. "Mera matlab hai yeh sabh naya haina so I am just a little nervous," a blushing Humaira confessed. "It's new for me too honey, but I am sure we will learn soon," Haider teased, sealing his lips with hers.
In the other room, Asad walked in after finishing some office work in the study to see his wife sitting on the bed. She was still in her lehenga from earlier. Her head was leaning onto the headboard and her eyes closed. Asad slowly walked up to her and caressed her cheek. She lifted her lashes and smiled at him. "Bahut takgayi na?" he asked. "I am ok," she said. Asad just glared at her. She always tried to play off her health so casually. "Theek hai, I am really tired! Happy?" she said. "Kuch khaya tumne?" he questioned. "Yeah, but mujhe bhook lagi hai," Zoya complained. "Main tumare liye kuch laata hoon. Kya chahiye?" Asad said. "Hmmm...pi...," she was about to speak when Asad interrupted, "Don't say pizza! You are not getting that," he warned. "But why?" Zoya whined. "One...woh tumare liye healthy nahi hai aur dusri baat yeh ki main itni raat gaye, pizza nahi doond ne wale," Asad replied. "Fine, just get me something to drink," she told him. "Tum change karlo, main tumare liye smoothie laata hoon," Asad suggested. Zoya nodded and he walked out of the room. Minutes later, Zoya felt herself limping towards the bed from the closet. When changing in her night dress, Zoya had realized that her feet were really swollen. She knew it was because of all the work she has been doing from the past 2 days. Resting would make it better, she told herself. She was a few steps away from the bed when Asad walked in. "Zoya, kya hua?" Asad asked, seeing pain glimmer through her face. "Dard horaha hai," she said sadly. Asad placed the glass on the nearby table and rushed up to her. He gathered her in his arms and took her on the bed. "Dard horaha hai? Kaha? Main abhi doctor koh phone karta hoon? Chalo," Asad said worried. "Nahi Asad, pair sooj gaye hai issliye dard horaha hai. Aaram karongi toh theek hojayega. Remember doctor ne kaha hai," Zoya explained. He looked at her for a few seconds before he went to the table and got her the smoothie he had made. "Yeh pee lo," he said giving her the glass. Zoya started drinking when he moved towards her feet and pulled her pajamas up. Asad almost gasped at the size of her feet. He recalled Dilshad giving him the herbal oil that Dadi had bought. Asad retrieved the small bottle from the bathroom and returned to see that she has finished the drink. He helped her lay down, "Just close your eyes and relax, ok," Asad said. Zoya nodded and did as told. Moments later, Zoya felt her husband massage the oil into her feet. She actually felt relaxed just feeling his hands on her skin. Asad was being very careful with her as he knew that the swelling had to hurt. Though, she tried to be calm about it. After he finished, Asad got some pillows and placed her legs on it so they are elevated. He stood up and saw that she was sound asleep. Asad covered her with a blanket and got into the bed next to her. Circling his arm around her waist, "I love you," he whispered into her ears and closed his eyes for the night.
The next morning, Zoya opened her eyes. Her body still felt sore and overworked. She sat up and scanned the room but her husband wasn't there. She checked her feet; they were still swelled but a little better than they were last night. Zoya slowly got off the bed, took a shower, and changed. She was on the stairs when Asad ran up to her. "Zoya, tum kyun chal rahi ho? Tume aaram karna chahiye," he said. "Asad, I am better now. Aur waise bhi Haider aur Humaira se milna haina," she reasoned. Haider and Humaira were leaving on their honeymoon that day. Though, Humaira was hesistant at first. Zoya had explained that she should not let the past hinder her happiness in her married life. Asad helped her walk down the stairs and to the family in the living room. "Zoya, kaisi ho beta?" Dilshad asked concerned. Zoya smiled, "main theek hoon Ammi, aap fikar na kare," she said. Just then, Haider and Humaira joined them with their suitcases. "Bhaji!" Humaira said as she walked up to Zoya and hugged her. Zoya smiled at her sister, she was glowing. This was the power of love, she thought as her eyes drifted toward her own husband. "Apna khayal rakna. Aur ha Haider koh zyada thang mat karna," Zoya teased. "Bhaji, aapko toh meri side hona chahiye," Humaira complained. "Main kal tak tumare side thi. Aaj se main dono side hoon. Tum meri behen ho aur Haider mera Bhai hai toh dono koh equal attention milegi," Zoya joked making everyone laugh. Soon, Haider and Humaira bid their goodbyes with the rest of the family and left to the airport along with Farhan and Asad.
Time seemed to pass in a blink of an eye. Haider and Humaira were gone on their honeymoon. Nikhat was nearing her due date with her baby. And Zoya was trying to live with the twins. It was getting really hard for her to keep her balance. The center of gravity was shifting forward as the babies grew and she would stumble often. Asad or someone else always helped her to walk to ensure her safety. Farhan and Asad have taken the responsibility of decorating the baby room for both their better halves. They didn't let Nikhat or Zoya enter the room. It was supposed to be their surprise. Nikhat was excited to see the room that Farhan was doing for their little girl whereas Zoya was being Zoya, really impatient. She complained to Asad that this wasn't fair and that she should be able to her kids' room. Asad just ignored her taunts; he wanted to do this for her. And, he wasn't going to let anything ruin the surprise. Just a little more time, he couldn't wait to see her beautiful smile when he showed her the room. Haider and Humaira returned from their holiday. They had the time of their lives. Though they had known each other for sometime now, it was differnet when you lived together. Living with each other, they have learned the smallest things that they each did. They have grown really close in these few weeks. The little things he did for her like bring her breakfast in bed or pull her closer in his arms when they were sleep, and whisper his love into her ears. Or when he got all jealous when a sales boy tried to flirt with her. Humaira chuckled to herself recalling that incident. These small things made her fall in love with him all over again. In midst of everything, no one spoke about the past. They tried to ignore it as much as possible. But, it was hard! Just because you didn't speak about something didn't mean you didn't think about it either. Humaira thought about her mother often. She recalled everything she did for her since she was a kid. But then, she remembered how her mother treated Zoya and what she had done. Why couldn't she just erase her mother from her memories? Why couldn't she just forget everything? Only if it was that easy.
One afternoon, the Khan ladies were chatting when suddenly Nikhat felt her body fill with pain. "Bhabhi...kya hua?" Humaira asked. "I think its time," Nikhat declared. "Main Farhan Bhaijaan koh phone karti hoon, humi tum driver koh bhulao," Zoya said as she quickly dialed Farhan's number. Najma and Dilshad carefully helped Nikhat to the car. "Zoya beta, tum yehi raho. Hum ley jaate hai," Dilshad said. "Lekin Ammi, Bhabhi," Zoya said worried. "Tum chinta mat karo, main phone karti rahongi. Tume apna khayal bhi rakna hai," Dilshad stated. Zoya nodded, having no choice. As the care left the driveway, Zoya prayed for Nikhat and the baby. Hours passed, the family waited outside while Farhan and Nikhat were inside the delivery room. Dilshad told Asad to go home as Zoya was alone there. Zoya sat on the couch, her hands raised in prayer. "Zoya, itna fikar karna tumare liye theek nahi hai. Don't worry, Bhabhi will be fine," Asad comforted. "Itni dher hogayi, kisika phone nahi aaya," Zoya said. "Aap phone kariye na," she told him. "Zoya, abhi daz minute phele hi toh phone kiya tha. Delivery hote hi woh hume phone karenge," Asad reasoned. Zoya just shrugged. Minutes later, the phone rang and Asad quickly answered. "Jee Ammi, accha. Thank God sabh theek hai," Asad said. Zoya tugged at his shirt, asking him what was Dilshad saying. Asad ended the call. "Baby hogayi hai! Bacchi aur Bhabhi dono theek hai," he said. "Saach? Shukur hai Allah ka," Zoya said happily. "Aur Ammi ne kaha hai keh kal shayad ghar bhi aajaye," he said. "Good! I can't wait to see the baby. She must be so cute na," Zoya exclaimed. "Woh toh cute hogi hi, par tum jaanti hoon keh tum aabh kitni cute lagrahi ho," Asad said pinching her cheeks. "Asad, stop it!" she chided. "Aabh toh tum Khana khasakthi ho?" he inquired. "Ha main khala se bolti ho. Lekin Asad, aap phele hospital Khana lekar jaayiye. Waha sabh hai aur Bhaijaan shayad raat koh wahi rahenge," Zoya said. "Theek hai. Par make sure you eat," Asad stated. Zoya nodded her head in agreement. Later, Asad left for the hospital with the food.
Next evening, Zoya couldn't contain her excitement. She was standing at the entrance waiting for Nikhat and the new baby. "Zoya, bait jao. Jab woh log aayenge then I will tell you," Asad said. "Nahi Asad, I am so excited to meet the little one. Mujhse baita nahi jaraha," Zoya exclaimed. Asad just nodded his head and smiled. "Aur jab humare babies honge toh tum kya tabh bhi aise hi wait karogi," he teased walking up to her. "Very funny!" Zoya retorted. "Nahi toh, jaha tak main tume jaanta hoon, I wouldn't be surprised agar tum excitement mein kuch pagalpan karo toh," Asad said. "Asad, stop it! Aabh hum Bhabhi aur baby ka wait karahe hai. Mere liye aur thoda time hai," Zoya said, caressing her 7th month belly. He just pulled her close and pecked her lips. Just then, they heard the cars pull into the driveway. Zoya turned towards the family and cheered. She called out to Khala to bring the kheer. Zoya covered her head and recited some dua for the health and wellbeing of the newborn child. She blew on the baby's head and took the bowl of kheer from khala. "Welcome home Bhabhi," she said, as she fed Nikhat some kheer. Zoya pulled Nikhat into a side hug and welcomed her into the house. She hovered over the baby admiring its innocence. Zoya had never seen a baby, that too such a small one. Growing up, she had only seen Humaira as a toddler. And since all her cousins lived away from Bhopal, she hadn't had a chance to see a newborn. "Zoya, tum leyna chahogi?" Nikhat offered. "Leyna toh chathi hoon but dar lagraha hai. Itne chote bacche koh maine kabhi nahi pakda hai," Zoya said unsure. "Abhi kuch dino mein tume yeh sabh karna hi toh hai. Toh start practicing now," Nikhat said as she moved closer. She slowly placed the baby in Zoya's arms. The little one squirmed but settled in a new set of arms other than her mother's. Zoya admired the baby and lovingly touched his cheek. "She is beautiful Bhabhi, bilkul aap par gayi hai," she said. "Accha? Toh main bura dikhta hoon?" Farhan said, faking to be hurt. "No Abu, but Ammi is so much more pretty," Imran interrupted, causing the family to laugh. Zoya bought the baby closer and placed a soft kiss on her head. She really couldn't wait now! What would it feel like when she held her babies? Zoya lifted her eyes up and met her husband's, and he beamed at her knowing exactly what she was thinking.
A week later, the Khan household was bustling with activity. The whole villa was decorated with red roses intertwined with golden lights. Around the chandelier, hung red cloths with a golden shimmer making a flower like design on the ceiling. Today was Zoya's godh bharai and Nikhat baby's naming ceremony. It was a small party with just close family and friends. Zoya had chosen to wear a red and blue anarkali. She had her hair down her back, with just earrings and bangles as accessories. She has been trying to tie the dori of her anarkali but it was hard with her bulging abdomen pulling her forward. "Ammi, Najma," she called out, hoping someone would hear her. A minute later, she heard the door open and someone walk in. Zoya turned to speak but stopped seeing her husband leaning against the wall, grinning at her. "Kya hua?" she asked curiously. Asad walked up to her, "Bas meri khoobsurati biwi koh dekh raha hoon," he said. Her cheeks turned pink as she felt his gaze upon her. "Tume help chahiye thi?" he reminded. "Haan...woh meri dori," she explained. Asad smirked as he slowly turned her around. He moved her hair to the side revealing her smooth, white back towards him. As his fingers grazed her skin, she closed her eyes feeling a tingling in the pit of her stomach. He finished tying the dori and pecked the exposed part of her shoulder. Zoya shuddered and opened her eyes to see their reflection on the mirror. She pouted and Asad noticed that. He asked her what was wrong through his eyes. "Main kitni moti hogayi hoon na," she complained. "Hey...aisa kuch nahi hai. Tum aaj bhi utni khoobsurat ho jitni tabh thi jab maine tume pheli baar darga par dekha tha," Asad told her. "Aap toh aise hi bol rahe hai," she said, not convinced. Asad moved back and turned her to face him. "Kya main kabhi jhoot bolta hoon?" he asked. Zoya nodded her head negatively. He took her hand in his, "Toh main saach bol raha hoon. Infact, tum toh aabh pheli se bhi zyada khoobsurat lagrahi ho. And you are not fat, our babies are just getting bigger," Asad said. "Saach?" she asked innocently, looking into his eyes. "Yup!" he replied as he bend down and placed a kiss on her lips. "I love you," she said leaning into his arms. "Me too! And remember, the bigger you get, the more love there is," Asad said making her giggle.
Soon, Asad took Zoya downstairs where the family and guests were waiting for them. Najma and Humaira helped Zoya to her seat. She covered her head with the dupatta as everyone prayed for the wellbeing of the baby. One by one, the ladies showered Zoya with gifts. Asad saw her squeal in joy each time she got a gift for the babies. The smile on his lips just got bigger seeing her so happy. They have faced many problems to reach where they were today. But, her smile made everything worth it! Each fight was worth it if he could see her so happy every single day of his life. His thoughts were broken when one of the aunties teased him about becoming a father. Once the godh bharai was done, Nikhat bought a sleeping baby out. The family who was seeing her for the first time gushed over how adorable she looked in a light pink dress with a tiny headband. "Toh tum dono ne kohi naam soocha hai?" Dilshad asked the parents. "Ammi, Nuzzhat...Nuzzhat Ahmed Khan," Farhan announced looking at Nikhat who was smiling at him. "Wow Bhaijaan, that's such a cute name," Humaira said happily. "Perfect for her!" Najma added. Dilshad asked Usman to distribute sweets to everyone on this happy occasion. A bit later, Zoya was sitting on the couch waiting for her husband to bring lunch. She was starving. "You two sure eat a lot," she thought as she rubbed her stomach. At that moment, she saw Asad walking up to her with two plates of food. He handed her a plate and took a seat next to her. As they were eating, "Mr. Khan," she said. "Hmm?" he said as he was chewing on his food. "Sabh ne toh mujhe gifts diya lekin aapne nahi," she stated. "Tume gift chahiye tha?" he teased. "What? Nahi! I mean, aap hamesha mujhe gifts dehte hai toh mujhe laaga keh aaj aap," Zoya trailed off. She was confused with his behavior. Asad always showered her with gifts but today was her godh bharai but he wasn't doing anything. Why was he being so aloof about the topic? Mr. Khan and his akduness, she thought. "Khana thanda horaha hai," he told her. "I am not even hungry anymore," she huffed, as she kept the plate aside and left from there. Asad smiled. He knew that she was upset. But, just a bit longer, he told himself. Her surprise was almost ready!
About an hour later, Zoya had returned to her room and changed into a pair of comfortable pajamas. She was sitting on the bed watching her favorite tom and jerry. She found this to be a great way to relax herself. Zoya saw her husband walk in but she didn't say anything to him and went back to her iPad. Asad walked up to her and just stood next to the bed. She waited for him to say something for a few minutes but when he didn't, Zoya paused her screen and looked up at him with questioning eyes. "Mujhe tume kuch diKhana hai, chalo?" Asad said, offering her his hand. Zoya was confused. Pregnancy was giving her mood swings but what happened to her husband, she wondered. She placed the iPad on the bed and got off. Asad took her hand in his and helped her walk out of the room. Zoya didn't know where they were going but kept following her husband. Finally, they reached their destination. Zoya was surprised that Asad had bought her here. This was the place where they were planning on designing the kids' room. Though, Zoya had picked the place, Asad had made it his responsibility to get the whole room ready. Next to it was Imran's room which has now been expanded and made into Nuzzhat's room too. "Asad?" she said puzzled. "Tume apna gift chahiye tha na, this is it!" he told her. "Really? You are the best!" Zoya announced. "Come," he said as he opened the door and let her in.
