Nikhat was returning home from the venue of the party Zoya had gave her the task of getting najma ready from the saloon. She was still in a daze because of the conversation between her and Zoya in the morning. She would have to tell humaira to tame ayaan so that there's no problem in the wedding functions. She was also going to brief every one to behave as normally as possible, it would be good for Zoya she wouldn't be reminded anything about her past and she'll also tell all not to reveal what had happened when Asad left the school in 10th standard . She was worried for both of her friends ayaan and Zoya . Nikhat was thinking that how this all hullabaloo started eight years before. It all started when Zoya saw Asad for the first time and instantly fell for him but fate had something else Asad seemed too interested in Her than in Zoya . She noticing every thing backed off and started ignoring him. It was the time near exams of 9th when Zoya disappeared from school studying for exams. After she came back Asad flirted with her a bit making her blush and ignoring Nikhat unconditionally. Zoya had been happy that week and it was holi in five days. She was in her house sitting alone going through her camera gallery she stopped on a particular picture that was of last year's eid. She was there in the pic with her cousin nuzhat taufique she glanced at the back of the picture and there he was Asad talking to his friends in the party. Zoya got over excited and told Nikhat all that destiny crap that teens believe in. How well every thing was going when suddenly before 10th half yearlies the big bomb dropped in their lives shattering her too much. Nikhat whipped away all her thoughts and entered the house to get every one ready. Soon after no time it was evening and Zoya was almost ready she was wearing her earrings when nikhat entered her room she smiled at her and stood there looking at her . Zoya opened up her bangle box and took out the silver bangles that matched her Saree. ''You still have this thing Zoya? ...'' She spoke while taking out a small worn out band of black n Brown colour. ''Yes...umm...don't get me wrong I have all of your bands with me...a...which you gave me in 9th that too...this just came here by mistake. ..I'll just go and check on najma. ..'' Flicking her hair strands behind her ears she left hastily and went to najma and humaira's room. Here Nikhat was smiling in worry. She would have to discuss all this with najma and humaira. That too very soon. ''And now najma's best friends Zoya and Nikhat will tell you her story. ..'' The anchor announced their names and they rushed to the stage for their well prepared speech. ''...I opened the door to my house I was having a sleepover with Nikhat that night and there she was najma with. ..a book of economics and a chocolate bar ...she entered our room. ..we played we sang ...we behaved crazily. ..and that is how we became the best trio...'' Every one stood for an applause as Zoya finished her speech. It was not even a min after the applause died down they heard a back voice of a male a slow poignant yet soft and energetic one. ''You all forgot someone. Didn't you ?...Zoya? ..Nikhat ?...okay I'll give you hints. ..I will tell you a joke. ..'' Every one was confused except Zoya she was in a daze. How can she forget this voice ?... ''There was a kid who called a man near him placing his lips near the man's ear the kid whispered 'Uncle did you watched shaktiman?' The man looked confused 'umm yes why? ...' 'I want to tell you a secret uncle! ...' 'What !?' 'GANGADHAR was only SHAKTIMAN !!'' And with that the crowd laughed their hearts out. Every one except Zoya Nikhat and Ayaan smiled. He was here. Right now. In front of her !!! |
