IKR? How he is exactly the same then and just a grown up version now? There is a picture of me when I was 6, I recently saw, and I still look the same! LOL. Just a grown up version. Some people have the same face all their lives, and some actually turn into someone else! KV and I are the same! :)

As I was cooking dinner today I started humming "yeh daulat bhi le lo, yeh shohrat bhi le lo" and for the foreseeable future, I will always picture Aahil at Gudiya Factory with these lines.
Back when it aired and I watched, I mentioned it in a post of mine. That when Aahil was telling Tanveer 'yeh daulat, yeh shohrat" that he would have given it all to her--I had those lines playing in my head.

And still, now I remember that when I hum that song, even if it's a different context in the song. in the song, he's asking for the happier times of his childhood back. But in the context of Aahil, he would've given everything for the truth of his mother not to be true, he would have wanted back his dark childhood and would rather have that be the truth than believe and want his mother to be the evil mastermind of it all.

Every time I think about it, it's such a deep, rich story that S2 had. Too bad they screwed it up along the way and also with bringing back that Buddha Nawab. But even then, that scene of Tanveer's last moments in Aahil's lap made up for a lot, as much as I could hope for considering all other screw-ups.

Ye daulat bhi le lo, ye shoharat bhi le lo
Take away my wealth and fame

Bhale chhin lo mujhase meri javaani
You may even take my youth

Magar mujhako lauta do bachapan ka saavan
But please return the monsoon of my childhood

Vo kaagaz ki kashti, vo baarish ka paani
that paper made boat, and the rain (in which I used to play in)

KK... Tanveer's death was exactly how it was expected... I had actually thought it to be somewhat like this with both her sons fawning over her.. alas, one was already killed and the one who was lovingly holding her, she did not want...
it made for a great drama.. but they shot it too quickly. a lot of KV's talent could have been used as he reminisces his memories of her as Sanam looks on grieved and Seher barely able to contain her irritation over this adoration...
it left the viewers gritting their teeth to see her dying in her son's lap- the son she hated... she kept trying to move away from him and continued throwing angry frustrated phrases at him...I wanted more, but was OK with whatever crumbs I received😳👏
OH and I love almost all of Jagjit's gazal.. this one is very good.

That scene had so much potential which Kv and Ag rocked. I wanted to see more of it. It was so dark and Kv's emotions just rocked!!! I would have loved to see more of it.

Aahil has always been the most honest character. He's not two-faced---unless it's to take own Chudail. What you see is what you get with Aahil. Love him.

My friend, you are the best! You hold no punches and make no pretensions. You make no pretensions and say what you mean and what you want, and don't try to act any other way.
You've always been on the mark. Spot on.

Prefer that over anything else any day!
