Part 15

During dinner, Zoya was not speaking a word. All were worried for her.

"Zoya, why r u so quiet?" asked Zainab.

"Mom, nothing happened between me n Anas. Even if it wud have happened then it wud have been wid force to meri kya galti?" asked Zoya, "Why those 2 women insulted me?"

All were stunned by her question.

"Zoya, don't think abt them," replied Zainab, "They were idiots."

"There r many women who r abused like u & many of them r even raped 4m which u were saved. Don't they have any life or deserve to be happily married?" asked Asad.

"They told u to divorce me after I fail virginity test," replied Zoya, "I wud have failed anyway cuz I broke my hymen while cycling wen I was 12. But they wud not have believed me but accused me of cheating u & even pressurized all of u to get us divorced."

"These all wud have then only na wen I wud have taken u for virginity test which I find disgusting. Plz, don't talk abt virginity test n divorce," said Asad.

Zoya did not spoke throughout d dinner while others talked normally.

Next afternoon, Zoya, Humeira n Najma went to shopping. Humeira n Najma wanted to take Zoya for shopping to cheer her up.

"Where sud we go 1^st?" asked Humeira.

"We sud go to Dominos," replied Najma, "Zoya bhabhi loves pizza na."

"Mera mann nahi hai," said Zoya.

"Come on, Zoya. U r cumn wid us," said Humeira.

"Okay," said Zoya.

They went inside d Dominos. Zoya n Humeira stood in line to give their orders while Najma sat a table waiting for them. A purse fell down near Zoya's feet which belonged to a woman standing before Zoya. Zoya picked up d purse n at dat dat moment dat woman turned to pick up her purse. As Zoya handed her d purse, they were surprised to see each other. D woman whose purse fell down was none other than Soha Khurana who was Zoya's classmate.

"Zoya," said Soha wid surprise.

"Soha," said Zoya wid surprise.

"I am so happy to see u," said Soha wid a smile.

"Me too," said Zoya wid a smile, "Di, she is Soha."

"Nice to meet u," said Humeira wid a smile extending her hand.

"Same here," said Soha wid a smile shaking her hand wid her.

Soha's eyes then went to d bruises on Zoya's face n hands.

"Zoya, how u got these bruises?" asked Soha wid concern.

Zoya became quiet.

"Soha, why don't u eat wid us?" asked Humeira, "We will tell u everything."

"I was abt to tell d same only dat we sud eat 2gthr. I am very shocked to see these bruises," replied Soha.

They gave their orders n joined Najma.

"Soha, wen u came India n wat u doing nowadays?" asked Zoya.

"I came here 2days ago after doing my medical studies. I will now work here in Fortis hospital," replied Soha.

Soha changed her plan 4m BBA to medical as she later decided to become a doctor by doing her MBBS degree in US. So, she left BBA after 1^st year n joined medical college.

"That's great," said Humeira wid a smile, "Najma, she is Soha."

Soha n Najma shook hands wid each other after saying Hi to each other.

"I am intern in Fortis," said Najma wid a smile.

"Dats very nice. Then we will meet everyday," said Zoya wid a smile.

Soha's eyes again went to Zoya's bruises.

"Wat happened to Zoya?" asked Soha, "Who did dis to her."

"Anas," replied Humeira.

"Wat?" asked Soha shockingly.

Zoya, Humeira n Najma tells her everything. Soha is shocked n horrified to hear everything. She lukd at Zoya n felt very bad for her condition.

"Soha, I am so sorry for not helping u even though I was there," apologized Zoya as tears came to her eyes, "I think for dis reason I was punished by God cuz I let u get raped."

Soha wiped her tears n said softly, "Zoya, it was not ur fault."

"Dats wat we told her earlier," said Najma.

"U were too shocked too react. Even if u had come he wud have done d same wid u which he did to me & u were too scared to even tell or call someone," said Soha.

Their order came.

After eating, Soha joined them in d shopping. In d evening, they came out of d mall. They told Soha to come home so Zoya got in her car as she also had brought d car.

"How was d shopping?" asked Asad.

"Very nice," replied Zoya.

His eyes then went to Soha.

"Soha," said Asad.

"We met her in d mall. She came to India 2 days ago n will work in Fortis hospital," said Zoya wid a smile.

"Dats great," said Asad wid a smile.

"She is Soha Khurana, our classmate in BBA whom Anas had abused," said Zoya careful not to use d word rape.

Everyone was shocked as they had not seen her earlier. Soha was not much of their friend as she had other group of friends.

"I am sorry, Soha beta for wat my son did," apologized Dilshad.

"Aunty, don't apologize as it was not ur fault," said Soha.

"I am really ashamed of my son. I wonder how many girls he troubled apart 4m u & our Zoya," said Rashid sadly.

"Uncle, I am feeling very bad to see Zoya like dis. She apologized to me blaming herself for my pain n thinking dat she was punished by God for it," said Soha.

"Di, u blamed urself again. It was not ur fault," said Abhi.

"If u all don't mind can I help Zoya to heal?" asked Soha hopefully.

Everyone lukd at Soha n then at each other.

"Can we get our old Zoya back?" asked Zainab hopefully.

"Yes if she gets all love n support 4m her loved ones," replied Soha, "She is still shaken n traumatized by d incident so she will take time to get over everything."

"I will also help u in healing Zoya," said Najma.

"It will be very nice n plus point is dat u r her family member," said Soha wid a smile.

"Zoya, u sud start working again like before," said Dilshad.

"I need time, Ammi," said Zoya.

"But Zoya u sud start working again by starting wid only few hours at d office," said Soha.

"How I will go wid all these bruises?" asked Zoya.

"They will heal after sometime. U sud not think abt anyone's reaction abt ur bruises," said Asad wid a smile.

"I need to go now. I will meet u all later," said Soha.

"Kuch kha-pee kar jao," said Dilshad wid a smile.

"Okay aunty," said Soha wid a smile.

At night, AsYa r sitting on their bed in their night clothes. Asad was applying injuries on her bruises while she was wincing as some of them still pained wen touched.

"Its still paining na," said Asad.

"Yes," said Zoya.

Wen he finished, Zoya applied d ointment on his bruises.

"Zoya, u know how I got attracted to u & then realized dat I love u," said Asad.

"Even I fell in love wid u," said Zoya.

"But we both did not knew dat we love each other," said Asad wid a smile.

"U proposed me in such a lovely way on d beach," said Zoya wid a smile.

"And then we had our 1^st kiss," said Asad wid a smile.

"I still remember our 1^st kiss which was so lovely," said Zoya wid a smile.

"Even I remember dat," said Asad wid a smile, "Lets sleep now. Good night."

"Good night," said Zoya wid a smile.

They lied down n dozed off after some time.

While sleep, Zoya got Anas's nightmare.

-----Flashback-----

"Zoya, bring coffee for me," ordered Anas 4m d hall.

Zoya who heard him quickly got up 4m d bed as she was resting. She had been punished by Anas for trying to run away for which tied her up on d terrace n made her stand in d heat barefoot which caused blisters on her foot. She left her room. She was having difficulty in walking due to her blistered feet on which she had applied ointment an hour ago.

"If I am late then Asad will again get angry," said Zoya.

She went trying to move as fast as she cud but due to her feet hurting she was takn a lot of time. Wid great difficulty, she reached d kitchen. She started making coffee.

"Zoya, r u again sleeping?" came Anas's voice.

"No, plz wait some time," replied Zoya.

"I don't have all evening," said Anas rudely, "Be fast or u will regret."

Tears came to Zoya's eyes.

"Oh God, plz get me out of dis," prayed Zoya thru her tears.

After she was done making coffee, she started going in d hall takn a lot of time due to her feet n also cuz d coffee cup was full of hot coffee. She reached d hall.

"Why u tuk so much time?" asked Anas angrily.

"My feet r hurting a lot," replied Zoya.

A smile came on Anas's lips

"Now u understood d consequences na for trying to run away na," said Anas wid a cruel smile on his face.

Zoya did not said anything. He finished sipping his coffee n kept d cup on d table.

"Asad, plz let me go. I don't want to live here," pleaded Zoya.

Anas got angry n held one both her blistered feet pressing them making her cry in pain.

"Asad, leave my legs. U r hurting me," said Zoya thru her tears.

"Will u talk again of leaving d house?" asked Anas firmly.

Zoya did not answered n kept on crying in pain.

"Will u talk again of leaving d house" asked Anas angrily repeating his question.

"No," replied Zoya reluctantly thru her tears. Plz, leave my feet. Bahot dard ho raha hai"

"Don't ever talk of leaving again," warned Anas n let go off her legs roughly.

-----Flashback Ends-----

Zoya screamed n woke up. Asad too woke up hearing Zoya's scream.

"Zoya, wat happened? Why u screamed?" asked Asad worriedly.

"I again had nightmare of Anas," replied Zoya teln him abt her nightmare.

Asad gave her water to drink. She drank water n fell into his arms.

"Zoya baby, I am here," said Asad in a soothing voice while caressing her back.

"Sorry for waking u up," said Zoya.

"Don't say sorry," said Asad.

They broke d hug. He pulled her in his arms n caressed her head till she slept properly.

"Ya Allah, plz bring back my old Zoya," prayed Asad.

He then closed his eyes n slept.
