someone was following her.but she was busy in relishing the sight in front of her.zoya always came to the south beach after work to relax and let go of all the tiredness off her body.she drank in the beautiful sunset,the waves playing blue,grey,orange and red,the lovers sitting togather making out in their own world,the sky crystal clear,the birds chirping,water gurgling which was music to her ears.and here she was all alone.she was thinking and thanking her allah miya for giving her a mother like figure as phupi,an amazing younger sister like tamatar,a caring bro cum friend eric,her father figure and her idol uncle rickwood.and most importantly...


her phone rang and there flashed her uncle's name.
"heya uncle"
"hey sweetheart!where u at?"

"uhunh! just roaming around"

"zoya now u shud be more responsible.u have family living at ur place and u still out.give them some time."

"and ur right as always.i will.tell me wats up"

"i called to invite u all people 4 the dinner at mine place"

"wow!!sounds great.ok then we'll be there."

"and lets meet ur loverboy"

"um...he doesn't love me so don't call him that"

"how do u know that?"

"i just know...um..make sure u don't spill the beans in front of any of them."

he shook his head"ok ok got it.anything else?"

"um huh.see u thr."


it was dark now.the sun gone.she sighed and pulled out the note frm her back pocket.keeping it in the glass bottle she threw the bottle in the sea smiling sadly.
"i love you asad"
its good not more people came at the south beach lest she wud be running into a cop by now if anyone has seen her throwing in the sea.well not that she had not ran into a cop before but past is to held behind right?
she breathed in the fresh air and turned to leave towards her car.a SUV followed her till zestate but she didn't paid heed.just when she turned to close the gate she heard a car screeching and drove away quickly.she bit her upper lips and shrugged her shoulders off.

she looked at her phupi helplessly.dilshaad nodded.

he was cut short by zoya
"yahi to problem he Mr. Khan ki aap sochte hi he.karte to kuch he hi ni aap"

"accha mai kuch ni karta hu?aap ye mat bhuliye ki.."
but zoya was faster"ki kya mr. khan?agar aap kuch karte to ab tak aapko password change karna aajata.par mene kaha tha na ki aap zoya farooqi ko ni hara sakte"

"Ms. Farooqi itna guroor mat kijiye.its nt the end of the world.password to me change karke hi rahoonga and m sure me hi jeetunga.u wait n watch.aur wese bhi aap jese me ghatiya passwords to ni lagata.aapko pata he ur 1 piece in the universe..."

by now zoya was more like lioness."oh really Mr.Khan?"

nzma and dilshaad were enjoying this banter which was a normal thing frm last 2 weeks in zestate.but dilshaad had to intterupt coz they were going nowhere/

"enough u 2.asad jao jake ready ho jao.coz we are going.zoya tum bhi.dilshaad said reprimanding both.

asad and zoya headed towards their respective rooms in opposite direction.
back in the hall nzma understood her ammi's smirking moments and it was clear to her wat her ammi was upto.she hugged her ammi."ammi thanku so much"

"aaj itni mohabatt kyu?aur ye thanku kyu?"

"4 finding a bhabi so gud as zoya"
dilshaad turned around "shhh dhire bolo"her eyes full of surprise.

"ammi i love my to be bhabi"
"me too love zoya.bas allah meri dua qubool karle fir me shanti se.."
"ammi ye kya keh ri he aap.aainda esa na kehna"nzma said as if she was scolding a 3 year old.
they hugged.

"so asad wa do you do?"uncle rickwood asked asad picking a glass of grapewine eyes focused on him.

"i work 4 microsoft sir,"asad said forcing a slight smile on his face to which zoya was scowling.

uncled laughed slightly knowing well that zoya was behind it.he offered him more wine but he refused.
"li'll bit at a time sir"
uncle was pleased to meet asad and asad's feelings were mutual too.he liked zoya's uncle.and instantly a respect rept in his mind for him.they talked buisness 4 some time.
then out of nowhere uncle asked"ur a quite a young men now.so when r u planning to marry?"

eric who was playing with nzma his boxo match on play station looked up and thought'yeah lets listen to this thing'
zoya shot an angry glance at eric first who was grining madly.then she looked at uncle who was supressing a smirk.

asad looked at zoya 1st glancing downward as if in a trance and then looked at his ammi.dilshaad and nzma shared a look and dilhaad gave asad a challenging smile.
after the glancing game was over asad replied honestly
"now that u have spoke up i'll consider it sir"

a slight blush came on zoya's face without warning which the mother-daughter duo didn't miss.uncle smiled half in satisfaction and half mocking on the way asad answered as if he was talking buisness.
eric gave a kiss on dilshaad's cheeks and winked at her "gud night girlfriend have a sound sleep"

dilshaad shook her head knowing well enough that eric was trying to invoke asad but asad didn't react this time.he doesn't wanted to ruin his repo in front of uncle.eric's grin changed into a grimace to which all the ladies giggled and asad looked on smirking.
after exchanging plesantries and gud byes and gud night they headed 4 the car.zoya heard the same screeching car drove away quickly like it had in the evening.she frowned.could she be imagining things?
she was too tired to think all this.but she kept glancing back frm the back mirror of the car.now and then her eyes wud meet asad's eyes and sensing his awkwardness she concentrated on the road.
'zoya wats wrong with ?u don't want any accidents now.better concentrate'.

asad was confused at why zoya was looking back restlessly.is someone following?coz he had heard of many cases involving stalkers nowadays in new york.could it be?no.afterall what did he knew.he wasn't a new yorker.he sighed thinking 'this girls crazy.'
