Part 5

"Seher ma banne wali hai!" A stunned Rehan continued to look at the doctor then said, "Par doctor iss halat mein ma' banna... bacche ko janam dena... wo toh bas kuch hi waqt ki mehman hai... meri samajh mein kuch bhi nahi aa raha doctor."

"Main samajh sakti hoon Rehan, par yehi sach hai."

Rehan mustered all the courage he could and entered in Seher's room and gently caressed her hair.

"Seher, kudrat ne humaare saath ek aur bhadda mazaak kiya hai. Tum ma' banne wali ho."

"Kya?" Seher felt like a bolt of lightning had struck her. "Ab kya hoga Rehan? Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai. Meri zindagi ka diya bhujne wala hai. Bujh raha hai... aur ye baccha...! Kya humein iss bacche ko iss duniya mein aane dena chahiye?"

"Kyun nahi?" Dr. Mrs. Mallik said coming into the room. "Aapko iss bacche ko iss duniya mien lana chahiye. Aisa ho sakta hai ki iss bacche ko janam dete hue aapki maut ho jaaye, wo toh agar aap iss bacche ko janam nahi dengi toh bhi hone hi wali hai iss baat ko aaj nazarandaaz nahi kar sakti."

"Par bacche ki zimmedaari, uski parvarish... ye sab kaise mumkin hai doctor... humein iss bacche ko janam lene se rokna hi hoga."

"Nahi rehan, picchle 5 saalon se meri god sooni hai. Jo tum dono ko mujhpar bharosa ho toh Armaan aur main tumhaare bacche ko tumhaari aakhri nishaani samajhkar uski parvarish karenge. Par iss bacche ko janam lene do. Aisa samjho ki tumhaare pyar, saadgi aur neki ke badle mein kudrat ne tumhe ye tohfa diya hai."

"Main baap banne wala hoon doctor Armaan aur doctor Riddhima ke kehne ke mutabik 2^nd October ko humaara baccha iss duniya mein aayega. Kyun Seher?" Rehan said looking at Seher.

"Yakeen ke toofaan ke saamne bimaari ke badal bikhar jaayegne Rehan."

"Bas, tum dono apne yakeen ki dor ko mat chodna." Armaan and Riddhima said taking leave of Rehan and Seher.

"Kal badi ammi aa rahi hain na?" Asked Seher as she cut a wedge of apple and gave it to Rehan.

"Haan, aur kal mujhe bhi hospital mein admit hona hai."

"Main bhi aapke saath hospital mein hi rahoongi Rehan."

"Ye kaise ho sakta hai Seher, uss ward mein sirf cancer patients hi reh sakte hain."

"Jo bhi ho, main aapse door nahi rahoongi."

With every passing day Rehan used to see Seher's pregnant stomach grow and would daydream. He was now greedy to live till the day their child was born and Seher too had faith that Rehan would name their baby. Rehan's dreams and Seher's faith put together made it feel like a few years of Rehan's life had been increased! As if death had given him the gift of life!

The day came when Seher began to have labor pains and she said good bye to Rehan as she was taken to the operation theatre. The child would be brought into this world by C' section as Seher was not strong enough to give birth naturally. Rehan was impatiently waiting outside the OT to hear that first cry. Dilshad was seated next to him as he waited for that moment when the doctor would come and place his child in his hands. Rehan sat the entire night outside the OT.

"Kya hua doctor... beta hai ya beti... Seher kaisi hai?" Rehan asked when Dr. Mrs. Mallik stepped out of the OT in the morning.

Wow that was a suprise one rehan there 4 his child but what happen is sehar is dead or alive n what about the child continue soon
