Today both Aahil and Tanveer are chasing a truth withheld from them from 20 years ago. And both chases lead them to the same place.
Aahil takes Sanam with him to meet a fatherly figure from his childhood. A man who was kind to him as a child. He wants Sanam with him, the one who would understand the situation, help him, be by his side.
I felt mixed feelings over the pride and gratitude Aahil feels over Sanam. Agreed she helped him through the biggest hurdle of his life. He is grateful to her of course, but the sudden gladness in being with Sanam seems more to the nature of an ally (or a pillar of strength and confidence to hang on to) rather than a romantic nature. She has become important to him so he puts aside the disgrace of her current position in his life, just to get his truth, for now...
Neither does he absolve her of guilt, nor does he renew his words of love for her. Just some grateful smiles...
Sanam is warily accepting his sudden need for her presence. She's steadfast in her aim to free Aahil from Tanveer's web of lies. Unfortunately, Sanam2 is playing the jealous wife card at the wrong time, making her look very petty and self absorbed.
Sanam2 knows nothing of the deep secret that tortures Aahil, nor is she interested. She just wants Aahil to choose her now. She brings a love potion she made and finds Aahil asking Sanam to come with him to meet Suleiman chacha.
Sanam2 calls out to him. The irritation in Aahil's face hearing her voice was both disturbing and pleasant to see. For me it meant, Aahil is beginning to choose a side. Which he didn't want to before...
She shamelessly speaks of their night together in front of Sanam. How she was helpless in his advances and gave in to him. Sanam looks away.
She asks Aahil why give her the right of a wife, and spend time with a naukrani..
Aahil flips... Watch your limits ! Don't you dare speak about Sanam that way!

Aahil and Sanam find Suleiman chacha and the kindly old man remembers him fondly. It was so sweet of Aahil to be so effusive in his feelings for a kind fatherly figure.
Meanwhile, Tanveer is also there. She finds the jailor who gives her all the information about Jameela, the woman who took her daughter from the jail hospital. Tanveer is truly happy, until she runs into Aahil, who tells her he is about to find someone who can shed some light on the Nawab murder mystery.
Suleiman chacha tells him to forget the dark events of his past for his well being. She trapped you Aahil Baba... You don't know Begum Sahiba at all...
Will he tell Aahil something? Or will Tanveer stop him too.
