I do agree with this, but by the same token you cannot declare it a flop or point to Diwali drop as audience rejection either. Overall, taking in all factors, it is basically pretty steady, perhaps a bit more than steady.

KK thats exactly what I have said in the post...TRPs are steady but at the same time I am also saying that the current increase does not reflect that this is the over all best of Q2 so far.,...
And I have in no way talked about the dhiwali dip or called this track a flop either because I understood your point from our previous discussions.😊

Through out the swap Q2 has remained at 13 except for one week where it dropped to 14. Don't know about last week's standing on the chart yet but I expect it to climb up because the swap is at the tail end now.

QH started improving from August and it had the best standing during the 2nd and 3rd week of August.
Now what was the focus of the show then? Sahil marriage, angst, Aahil jealousy, Sanam trying to find out about her dead parents, peer baba's predictions , etc?
Come september and position starts dropping and reaches the plateau outside the top tens.
I think there are generally 2 types of serials do good, ones with edge of the seat drama like QH is presenting these days. and those which show a pleasant viewing and focus on actual character graphs. ...
If I look at this chart, QH is not doing too well currently in terms of position. If QH TRP is good, then TRP of other shows is also good.

Wow, you and SheAish seemed to have cracked the code... pretty much.
The underline is interesting.
😛
And yes, it goes with my feelings too. I like a more pleasant drama(feel good- think DDLJ, KKHH, Jab we met..pretty woman, father of the bride, ...😛 )
Now this torture session, relationship overlaps, did not present enjoyable watch to me so I did not.
Again you might have tuned in to enjoy the drama it presented, even if unpleasant, like many other TRP folks. Some trp folks will quit when the drama leaves, some will join back in if viewing is enjoyable even if there's no drama.
A right balance of pleasant viewing+drama, do they have the right concoction? thats the question.
Fun discussion this is SheAish👏

Minnie, I just wanted to throw in a bit of reality to those of us calling this track the best of Q2, even TRP vise...I mean just the TRP itself increasing while all the others shows have also been increasing does not necessarily reflect the show is doing really well...it just shows that the show is steady at most...And the show has had really better days being around the middle of top 10 precisely.

The Q2 standing on the chart is clear enough that yes people have not stopped watching the show but its not being considered better viewing compared to others either...
The ultimate aim of the TRP is to climb the chart, hey na...not just have increased view ship along with everything else on offer ...which does not necessarily mean its doing better...

Since last week and this week has been the tail end of the swap with the ultimate climax of the track approaching. I'm pretty sure that Q2 would actually move UP on the chart...and this week even more so.

But ppl will believe what ever they want to believe even when hard facts are shown...I just wanted to give my 2 cents worth...thats it...😆

As for me, yeah I go for the pleasant viewing more than the drama itself...and no matter how brilliantly executed, incestual romance being forged even unknowingly is disgusting and creepy ...not to mention a brainless lead and main female lead reduced to guest appearances does not appeal to me at all...

Chalo dehktheyhey Sanam ke lout aney ka TRP keysa hay...

SA lovely analysis. Thanks for your efforts.
I so wanted to see how the swap crap impacted the standing of the show.
Am just wondering, why more people started watching tv in the last 1.5 month across channels?
People will stop watching certain tracks,as I do and come back but do the makers really care whether those who are watching are enjoying the show as they did once?

^^Simran, since I don't live in India I have no idea what could be the reason for the increase in viewership across all channels.
As for cvs, I really don't think they give too much notice as long as the show does not start to FALL on the chart drastically which it hasn't so far...but if they want to climb up again, I would say the current results indicate that they need to come up with a positive outcome to this track because it has climbed up with the imminent end only so far...

For those who still want to believe that the twin track has been a success and that the latest TRP week (6.5) has been the best of Q2, let me ask you a simple question,...

From oct12 -18 week (start of swap/twin track) to NOv18-22 week (TRP 6.5 week), Q2's standing on the chart has been...13,13,13, 14,13, 12...so does this really indicate that the twin track is a success?????

What if the greatest TRP of 6.5 had positioned us at number 20 on the chart...we have been on top 10 of the chart with 5.7-6.3 TRPs from Jul-Sep...and mind you we even reached the position of number 7 on the chart during this period...Does the TRP number by itself or the position on the chart indicate the success?????

I don't know whether i'll be making any sense or not ,here.I think the difference between TRP of a show and it's position on the chart is similar to the relationship between percentage & percentile.
The position on charts depends on competition and I think QH and other long running shows might get pushed down the list when new shows come up post Bigboss.
It's hard to conclude what causes the rise in TRP w.o knowing what exactly are people watching in QH, whether they are watching the cat fight,or the incest or the imminent escape of the female lead or the fake bedding scene of one brother engineered by another. There is no qualitative data on the tracks, IMO.

Looks like August was the best in terms of position and even TRP. That was when SAHIL marriage was taking a turn, Aahil was jealous, the romance was starting. People were really hooked on the "Junoon!" I have to say this was one of the most enjoyable times on the show.

The show was really good June to September. I think that was the best time. Then of course swap track in October and no SAHIL. But at least the sisters met and they know the truth about their family etc. So something good came of it. But until we know exactly what has happened at the Nikah and who is this women behind the veil, we wont know what the outcome of this track will be?

Either ways, it is clear that a good focus on drama and concentration on the characters and relationships is needed to improve position, coz looks like other shows are doing well too? That's why despite higher TRP, QH is still not in the Top 10?
