Dilshaad tries to tell Sunehri to get the heck out of this mess, but she is intercepted by Razia. Sunehri tells her off to back off from ill treating a sick person. She feels a bond to the old lady with beseeching eyes, but doesn't understand why.
Elsewhere, Rehan turns down his mother's Diwali gift, as he wants only good wishes and not material wealth. Tanveer vows that his life will soon be lit up with the power of wealth.
Sunehri then goes to supervise Khala and Khalu in the laddo making. They are run ragged with the effort as Sunehri sits watching, wielding a knife and her all important diamond ring. However, her gloating is interrupted by Aahil, who was calling out for his wife.
Apparently Aahil has been looking all over the house for her and she's been hiding from him. He has a surprise for her and he wants her to follow him.
Khala and Khalu are worried about "Sanam" and Aahil's love. At this rate, there'll be a third heir to the wealth in no time!
He blindfolds her and carries her to the lawn!
<The lawn ! The lawn where Asad and Zoya had the most heartrending scenes a long time ago! oh God! AND they used Asad and Zoya's bg theme too. I was actually adding the words Mitwaaa... in my head 😭...Ugh! Sacrilege!>
He had decorated the lawn full of lights and led her towards a sky lantern. He makes heartfelt plea to Sanam, to light up the lantern and let it go to the sky, as a symbol of her releasing all the bad memories of the past.
Poor chap. He's put a lot of thought into this. He is returning the gift of psychotherapy to Sanam, except its Sunehri, who has no idea about Sanam and Aahil's past. He was asking for forgiveness from her, to start afresh without the their past experiences in the way.
But Sunehri is thinking of her own past. She remembers eating out of the trash as a child. <Poor thing. Finally a glimpse into her life> And she thinks of Rehan's love and proposal, and how it went away so fast. She hears Aahil's plea to let it all go, to let go of the time they thought they weren't suited to each other. I love you so much Sanam.
He tells her to let go of the lantern, but a split second before touching it, she realizes that it is not her place to do this, this is Sanam's right with her husband. And she turns and runs away.
Aahil thinks Sanam can't let go of what he did in the past. He thinks she is still heartbroken and wants to maintain a distance. He vows to not let her break them apart, and that loved her for always.
The scene cuts to a warehouse, where Sanam wakes up being bound by ropes. She is woozy and groggy and cries out for help.
I love you Sanam...
and far away was Sanam's reply " I love you Aahil..."
Meanwhile in an unrelated universe, Faiz saves Haya from being burnt by firecrackers and carries her into her room. She is wary of his presence and begs to be left alone to rest. But Faiz has his wrist band stuck to her dress and takes the opportunity to gawk at her beauty, eventually giving in to temptation and tries to kiss her. She wakes as he is milimetres away and pushes him off.
But then she notices he is hurt from the dupatta fire, so she dresses him hand , feeling bad. Faiz is encouraged by this, his resolve to get her back is strengthened.
<Well, something big came up today. Sanam has reappeared. I hope she finds means of escape because Aahil is still very much confused. Unless he goes after Sunehri and finds out she isn't his wife after all. Either way it's good to see her again, that means this weird track has a direction change from the unsettling drama happening there. But somehow, i think she's going to run into Rehan... >
Poor Aahil...😭 he watches the lantern fly away from him, his love is away from him, like Sanam is.
