I would say in a way Rehan was wrong, because he himself held back first, which means he knew he shouldn't do it. But he ended up wiping her tears and crossing that boundary. However he didn't do it with any wrong intentions. He is human and he saw her hurt and ended up acting accordingly. He didn't have any wrong intention or didn't do it any wrong manner.

Aahil was definitely wrong, though. Understandable. But wrong in so many ways. And I hope he shows remorse for what he's done and begs and cries in front of Sanam for the hurt he's given her.

As for jumping to conclusions. Ehh, as I said. i would rather it happen this way than the opposite way. Not saying anything, and then the scene confirms all the silent fears. So...

By the way, you were the main reason that post went 22 pages. 😆😆

Lol yeah 😆 but honestly that first comment i wrote was totally in a humerous n light way i had never dreamed it ll get so many adverse reactions... But yeah i shudnt have used the words "property" n "mardangi" that irked many ppl.. My mistake...
But i guess venting out our feelings did make the episode look better 😛

If you noted, there was the glisten of tears in her eyes at the humiliating way ARI said, "... her English is weak".
But she looked at him as he continued on about her owning a diner, and then she straightening her spine and resolve. He said nothing that was not true. And she is not ashamed of it. It was proud, honest work.

And if seen objectively, to others, ARI said things in a rather matter-of-fact manner, and filled with loving words...it is only she who 'knows' that it is all a dig and a put down.
In a way, it is also good he did not hide it, as many people might be prone to doing rather than admitting that the rich guy married the cook in his house. It actually means he is not into subterfuge.
But...I agree with some members who said that just the fact that he said it - gave all the details - means that somewhere, in some corner of his heart he does feel the social difference.

Sigh.
Life is long, and in reality, such feelings come out more as years go by...oh, well...its a soap. Gotta not think about them together years down the line. 😆

Agreed. She was not ashamed. But I think she was still a bit sad because she lost it. She wasn't sad because she thought it was humiliating, but sad because she knows he is the one who burnt it down and took it away. But she was also proud, happy and wistful.

It made me sad.

Agreed again. Said this in my other post. The way it came out, he said everything as praises, and the English part in a matter-of-fact manner. It made it easier to take rather than what I thoutht would be previously, where he humiliated her in front of his friends. He so needs to be remorseful and beg her for this! But it is a bit better than thought previously.

In a way, it is also good he did not hide it, as many people might be prone to doing rather than admitting that the rich guy married the cook in his house. It actually means he is not into subterfuge.

Yes, good that he did not hide it. He may feel the social difference but never was or is embarrassed. I think he knew the social difference would be awkward for Sanam and also his friends and so he was hesitant and tried to avoid it. But when he made up his mind to bring her, he was like a happy little boy, eager to show her.

And then it became obvious and awkward. If he were in a better mood and not being a jackass, he would've tried to make it smoother in a more loving manner. He would have tried to make Sanam comfortable and at ease earlier on, so she would have no issues replying in Hindi as she does with him, rather than attempting to reply in English.

Sigh.
