It is the sad ending of every love-story-based show by Ms. Gul Khan that the story is good for the first 4-6 months...after that it all falls apart...I am hoping after three such shows with the same graph of falling story quality, she will keep up the pace and keep the viewers interested.
No matter the actors and acting, story is king.
In QH1, the basic introductory story-line was the conflict between two brothers falling for the same girl and the secret of the girl's father.
The brothers' 'fight' was handled badly, and the father secret was relegated to the last few months of hurried story-telling.
I believe once KSG left, the decision to take the leap was already made and the whole story, that had already gone abominably off-tracks, went completely into the sinkhole.😉
Now QH2 is interesting only because things are moving at a fast pace and keeping the viewer hooked.
From the time of introducing the new vamp, Nida, to getting her role cut, it is no more than a month which is just fine.
No more than one to two episodes are wasted on plans and their implementation - whether it be S losing her diner and coming to the city, coming over to ARI's house, working there, discovering Grandma locked up, burying S in the cemetery, to rescue, to washing-machine scene, to getting Nida removed from the scene, to presenting S with contract-marriage proposition, to wedding.
This pace of story keeps viewers hooked.
Not the 10 camera-angles on every single person's shocked face per episode for every little drama that happens. 😆
Initially QH2 was slow, too...especially as it focused on establishing the characters...the aunt + uncle, their son and his wedding, the two sisters and their dynamics, etc. But it was a necessary 'waste' (oxymoron, he he he...) of time because it was needed to establish the 'golden heart' of ARI.
All in all, keeping fingers crossed that QH2 will end with the year (as is rumored somewhere). This will perforce keep the story tight.
And yes, I would rather it end on a high note than just drag on and lose viewers and story...like with Geet and IPK.
