This post is dedicated to our Sahil- Sanam and Aahil and the two brilliant actors- Surbhi and Karanvir who live these characters.
It is said that the distance between hatred and love is so narrow that a person can easily bridge the distance. It is because these two feelings are associated with one's heart and not brain. When it comes to hatred or love, we do it from heart if is true. And same happened with Sanam and Aahil. Their journey started with hatred and anger towards each each other and now it has been completely transformed to love though Sanam hasn't realised her feelings. Lets summarise this journey
Coming to the initial meeting, it was Sanam who saw Aahil and that too in a compromising position with a girl. I still could recollect Surbhi's expressions on seeing that. It is obvious that any girl would hate such a man and moreover he had tried to hit her sister with the car.
The first official meeting in the market, was also not that good. She tries to advise him much to his displeasure and offers her money for the piece of advice much to her displeasure. Too bad a beginning.
Then the dhaba scene where he tries to misbehave with Sanam and she slaps him and insults him. Aahil takes revenge on Sanam by burning her dhaba and inturn Sanam burns his car. And the way she answers him back in his own way shocks Aahil as he was meeting a different breed of a girl for the first time in his life. A girl with same fire in her character similar to that of him.
Both hated each other that they never wanted to see each other again in their lives. But destiny had its own game.
Sanam somehow managed to grab a job in a cafe in Bhopal but she loses the job the very first day, and that too indirectly because of Aahil and destiny takes her to Aahil's home.
Sanam after realising she has landed in Aahil's home, whom she calls Jallad Jinn tries to hide herself from him till she gets another job as she is badly in need of money. Thanks to Aahil, he burnt down her dhaba and also to Anwar, who eloped with all her money. And then the junoon starts ...
The first junoon moment when Sanam falls into Aahil's arms and Aahil lost in Sanam's eyes wow...was a treat to watch.
When Aahil finds out the truth, he throws her out of his house and that too after insulting her in front of the media. And hurt Sanam decides to leave Bhopal and again destiny had another game in store for them. She had to go back to Aahil's house as he paid money for her badi ammi's operation and she cannot leave Bhopal as she owes the money to him.
Aahil in his hatred towards Sanam, says that she can only leave his house if she asks his forgiveness by going on her knees or else she has to work for six months as he owns her.
Sanam prefers to work for him rather than asking him forgiveness. And then comes the track where there was a four day challenge of which Sanam fails in three or to be precise Aahil claims that she has failed in her task. But with each task, he gets more and more shocked with Sanam's brave nature and perseverance. When Sanam hurts herself in some way or other in all the tasks which she fails, Aahil stood by her side to support her. It was the beginning of the transformation of the hatred towards love. Aahil somehow wanted to win the challenge and cheats in the last task but at the last moment Sanam finds out the truth . Then Aahil gets to see a new side of Sanam , for the first time he feels that a girl has taught him a lesson by winning the challenge, hurting Aahil's ego.
And their tu tu mein mein continues. With the arrival of Tanveer, his character softens a bit. And Sanam too is shocked and impressed to see his submissiveness and blind love for his ammi.
Aahil gets a glimpse of Sanam's brave nature when she helps to save his family from terrorists but doesn't acknowledge to it. But he gets shocked and really moved and starts getting attracted to Sanam after she saves his ammi and badi ammi from the snake. From this episode, we can see Aahil starts to melt and his feelings towards Sanam starts changing.
And then comes the graveyard scene, from which Aahil's and Sanam's equation takes a 360 degree turn. Just before Sanam leaves that night, they accidently bumps into each other and Aahil gets lost in Sanam. And when Sanam asks why do you drink so much when you can't remember anything, there was concern for Aahil in Sanam's voice which he notices and he bothers to give her reply also.
Sanam calls Aahil when in trouble. I still cannot relate why she called Aahil. May be she had started trusting him more than any one . Anyways what matters is that Sanam called Aahil when she was in trouble and Aahil did come for her rescue.
Not only Aahil rescued her from death, he took care of her so well. And those episodes were a treat to watch. And Aahil got completely attached to her when he found out that Sanam even in her unconscious state is bestowing her faith on him that she is safe with him. For the first time in his life, someone made him realise that he can be a saviour. And he realised that the hand which he believes was used to kill his father could save and comfort someone. Sanam made him realise that he can do good deeds and that someone bestows faith on him which transformed Aahil into a new person. Though he couldn't relate to his feelings for Sanam, he knew there was some unknown force that he is attracted to her.
Then comes the recent episodes, where Aahil and Sanam both are confused, both are attracted to each other. Aahil listens to his heart and tries to understand whether Sanam also feels the same for him. But finding Sanam clueless, Aahil get engaged to Nida. The more he is being forced to be with Nida, the more he is attracted to Sanam. Aahil started to feel hurt when he sees Sanam hurt . Aahil feels jealous when Sanam is with Rehaan and he becomes desperate to be with Sanam, be it by hook or by crook.
And today finally with the dargah scene, the hatred has completely been transformed to love when Aahil raised his hands to wipe off her tears. Above all, Aahil realised it may be love that he is having for Sanam and knowingly or unknowingly he admitted to Sanam that he doesn't want to be separated from her. Though he was mentioning about the holy threads, he was literally speaking about their lives, which was clear enough...that he loves her...and Sanam too had felt something strange when he asked her not to untie the threads but being emotionally challenged like her father, she is unable to understand neither Aahil's nor her feelings. But Still...donon ke dilon mein mohabbat ne dastak di hai...aur Nafrat ki jagah Mohabbat ne li...Looking forward for a wonderful love story.
Now coming to the actors, Surbhi and KVB...No words to explain their acting. Too brilliant and so is their chemistry which made us fall in love with Sanam and Aahil. Each and every emotions from hatred to love, hatred, anger, ego, pain, hurt, sympathy, compassion, submissiveness, care, concern, attraction, love and many more emotions are well emoted by these two actors...Hats off to SJ and KVB, they are the heart and soul of the show. And they made me fall in love with QH again.
And above all, a thanks to Four Lions and especially Gul Khan for giving us such a wonderful pair and a magical journey of Sahil till now.
I know it is a lengthy post and you people may be bored reading such a long one. But sorry couldn't summarise it in a shorter one. I decided to make this post mainly because I am in love with Sahil these days and moreover, I have seen some posts asking how Sahil's story took a 360 degree turn all of a sudden. But when you analyse it, you can see it was definitely not a overnight change.
