Just because it's a fiction, a moment of madness followed by swift realization, I think I would be able to forgive Asad, as much as I love intense angst, jealous and possessive Asad this was very disappointing, if a guy asks that of his fiance, he should be dumped, there isn't love without trust. Loved his reaction until that moment, it was really amazing, wish he hadn't delivered that dialogue. Zoe was also awesome until then.

A relatively lovely chapter, loved the ring selection, my personal preference too. 😳

Didnt want to explain every bit that it was late in the night and that they were on a secluded road and all alone and yada yada yada. thought it would sound too childish.

Anyways, just wanted to explain why Asad behaved the way he did.

Think from his view point. His best friend literally takes over his dinner date with his fiancee, the only girl he has ever loved, he was bound to feel jealous and react irrationally. But as soon as he realized what he said and what Zoya was ready to do for him, he covered her and apologized to her to no end.

Hope this explanation helps you understand his reaction.

Zoya took a step towards him and slipped her dupatta from one shoulder baring herself for him "I would do anything for you Asad." Asad's eyes widened with realization and he immediately pulled the dupatta back over her shoulder, covering her like she always did. - Glad, he got his senses back. 😃
