Yes Simran I agree that Aahil has been attracted towards Sanam from the Dhaba wala scene. But it was not during the slap. It was when Sanam burnt his car and gave him 500 bucks for his audacity to misbehave with her. The exact dialogues said by Aahil when he compensates the Vegetable Vendor in the market after crushing his vegetables with his rash driving. It is but natural for people of opposite sex to feel something when they are in such close proximity to each other. That's the sure short formula for the success of the daily soaps. But its not the first time a Play Boy has been shown on Indian Television, but according to me Prem a character played by ours Truly KVB was the best example of a Playboy. Men who are playboys by nature and to top it up a person like Aahil who does not believes in the institution of marriage, as mentioned by him on numerous occasions, feeling attracted to a girl is a normal thing, but accepting it and letting his guard down is different thing.A true Play Boy who does not wants to get married never falls for a girl like Sanam so easily, Because he knows that Sanam is not like many of her toy girls. I'm not comparing Aahil to Asad. I'm comparing Aahil to Aahil himself. He was initially shown to be closed person who opens up his heart in front of his Mom Tanveer as she knows every dirty little secret of Aahil as she is behind the major one. He is the kind of person; when he is sad he drinks himself into senselessness and either beats up a innocent waiter or calls up a girl to party out with him at very odd hours of night. He overcomes his depression with anger and distracts himself with casual flings, but never he believes in opening up to someone. My response to the highlighted in blueI've watched the k-soap where KVB played Prem only in bits & pieces and can't really comment on his character. Ahil IMO, is not a typical playboy in the truest sense of the word, he is not chasing skirts, he is running away from his own demons and use the girls only as a distraction. That's a big difference.I think, his is a case of feeling undeserving of the love and commitment that marriage brings, rather than not believing in the institution of marriage. All his disparaging talks about the "S" word is a mask he wears, his true feelings comes out when he tells Rehan that even death won't come visiting him.He admires Sanam for the love & loyalty she has for her Badi ammi&sis, and can see the same love enveloping his own family. While he might be comfortable with the physical attraction he feels for her, I think he'll have a big struggle accepting that he deserves someone like Sanam in his life, inspite of murdering his own father. His struggle is not a playboy's struggle with commitment but that of a repenting murder's struggle with guilt and feeling worthy of love.I know he did the same in the "Seviyaan Scene" But he was not so blunt in his conversation, and if you remember Aahil was overcome by emotions and was constantly prodded by Sanam, but still she couldn't get much out of him. His answers were vague and did not make any sense to her. This much leverage is provided to Rehaan too, so no big deal there.
The main difference between Rehan & Sanam is how they use the leverage that Ahil gives them in invading his privacy. Rehan backs off when Ahil barks, but Sanam charges ahead with no fear and never shuts up without giving him what's on her mind.Remeber their morning after the mast magan song? That's where Sanam scores over everyone else, his sisters,Rehan. Ahil is comfortable with his truth with his mom(let's forget it's Billi, the mass murderer of Bhopal, and his truth is a big lie) but it'll be Sanam whom he'll confide. He'll do that because she'll be relentless, like her Mom, in uncovering skeletons in the cupboards.Regarding Sanam's character I have no complains as she is very much consistent and has never behaved out of her character even once. But CV's are not maintaining the consistency in Aahil's character.IMO, Ahils' character is more layered and they have to peel off each layer in proper order to reveal the real Ahil.Is he what Rehan tells Sanam?Or is he what Sanam sees in him now?Or is he what Latif tells Sanam? Is he what Bili has made him to be?IMO,he is a combination of all these and more. I would love to see what his Gran got to say about the Chote Nawab, that might be close to the true Ahil.
