Yes, if you compare him to Asad. But Ahil is not Asad. He is a hard drinking playboy, who is in a better place to identify that, what he sees in Sanam and what she makes him feel are totally different from all his other toys/girl friends have managed to evoke. And he wants to hang on to it, when he is in his own vulnerable state and he tries to hide when he wears his mask.

what you said is 100% right. asad was emotionally challenged person whereas ahil is a play boy.asad doesn't like women excpt his mother and sister but ahil has so many GF.

I can't wait to see him trying to woo Sanam, who acts more like Asad in the matter of heart. I liked the way she just walked off, all business,to the graveyard, when Ahil started his sob story.

even i remebered asad when sanam just walked off when ahil started his story. it was jus the same asad way of walking off from the place whenever zoya starts her story.
Yes, after I wrote, I too remembered the scene where Zoya talks about losing her parents all emotional in the night and turns to see Asad's receding back. Ofcourse, our poor Sanam has some midnight errands to run in the mashanbhumi and her dad couldn't handle emotions. She also has her Mom's curiosity to understand people around her and will soon see the hurt, guilt ridden little boy Ahil tries to numb, every night with drinks.

Sanam questioning Aahil about his drinking sounded more personal and intimate than she realized, and he but I think somewhat caught on to it too. The way she asked him, it had a hint that it came from a place or care and concern--it wasn't just complete admonishment. But here I agree they didn't focus and develop as needed for Sanam and Aahil to get this point.

No Yaar I don't think Sanam was concerned about Aahil's health while she asked this question. It was more out of frustration. Sanam is attracted towards Aahil but is still not aware that she likes him, let alone love him. She is yet to cross the stage where she will realize that she likes Aahil. For her Aahil is Jallad Jin. When Rehaan tried to convince Sanam that Aahil is not that bad, she gave it back to him saying "Why is he more bad than my thoughts??"

The pace at which CVs are going is ridiculous at best, and this is putting it mildly. They have almost fast forwarded to falling in love part. He was super annoyed with her one second and couldnt stand her presence...then goes to not being able to come out of Sanam induced trance? Pathetic.

Granted that there were moments when he would be lost in her eyes...but this one was certainly too much. Atleast after those moments he used to come back at her with some verbal backlash...and now its like he can trust her with his secrets? Ridiculous again

Exactly my point. Thank God atleast you understand my POV and are in complete agreement with the faux pas created by CV's in rushing this love story in super sonic speed.

I don't think this was the first time Aahil was in drunken state, he was drunk in the scene where he beats the hell out of the waiter in the hotel. There Rehaan asked him the same question with concern but he pushed him away and also hurt himself by breaking the glass. I have no problem with Sanam's character because she was very much herself when she taunted him about his drinking problem. BTW Aahil did not look drunk enuff to lose his senses.

Here is my take-

Agree with @KhatamK reg Aahil getting lost in Sanam, IMO, he got lost after he got slapped by a Dhabhewali. His attraction towards her has been growing ever since.Last night he wasn't in his senses and his defenses were low. He just let the lover in him to come out to play

Is Ahil mellowing down towards Sanam too soon?

Yes, if you compare him to Asad. But Ahil is not Asad. He is a hard drinking playboy, who is in a better place to identify that, what he sees in Sanam and what she makes him feel are totally different from all his other toys/girl friends have managed to evoke. Regarding Sanam getting too personal in telling him off for drinking too much, IMO after Begum Sahiba's entry, Sanam considers herself more like a family member and not a servant anymore.I think she gets her cues from Latif, who kind of switches between acting like family to servant.
Ahil -Rehan equation is different, for most part he treats him like a younger bro and brings up the "stay within limits" clause only to push him off when he gets too close for comfort.
Sanam has never stayed within her limits of a servant, that's the problem he has with her, she won't let him set the boundaries, she is her own master. That's why Ahil has to repeat the chant, "I own you, I own you, I own you", more to convince himself than to make her accept it. Sanam is his equal, how much ever he wants to deny, he knows it. And it is easier to open up to a stranger. He did that once before too, when he was in his senses, during the "Seviyan" eating scene.

Gul rehashing AsYa scenes- tho' it looks like serious bankruptcy of ideas, it's a clever way to cash on the emotional connect fans still have for AsYa and exploit the recall value of the magic that previous couple had created.

Yes Simran I agree that Aahil has been attracted towards Sanam from the Dhaba wala scene. But it was not during the slap. It was when Sanam burnt his car and gave him 500 bucks for his audacity to misbehave with her. The exact dialogues said by Aahil when he compensates the Vegetable Vendor in the market after crushing his vegetables with his rash driving. It is but natural for people of opposite sex to feel something when they are in such close proximity to each other. That's the sure short formula for the success of the daily soaps. But its not the first time a Play Boy has been shown on Indian Television, but according to me Prem a character played by ours Truly KVB was the best example of a Playboy. Men who are playboys by nature and to top it up a person like Aahil who does not believes in the institution of marriage, as mentioned by him on numerous occasions, feeling attracted to a girl is a normal thing, but accepting it and letting his guard down is different thing. I know he did the same in the "Seviyaan Scene" But he was not so blunt in his conversation, and if you remember Aahil was overcome by emotions and was constantly prodded by Sanam, but still she couldn't get much out of him. His answers were vague and did not make any sense to her. This much leverage is provided to Rehaan too, so no big deal there. A true Play Boy who does not wants to get married never falls for a girl like Sanam so easily, Because he knows that Sanam is not like many of her toy girls. I'm not comparing Aahil to Asad. I'm comparing Aahil to Aahil himself. He was initially shown to be closed person who opens up his heart in front of his Mom Tanveer as she knows every dirty little secret of Aahil as she is behind the major one. He is the kind of person; when he is sad he drinks himself into senselessness and either beats up a innocent waiter or calls up a girl to party out with him at very odd hours of night. He overcomes his depression with anger and distracts himself with casual flings, but never he believes in opening up to someone.

Regarding Sanam's character I have no complains as she is very much consistent and has never behaved out of her character even once. But CV's are not maintaining the consistency in Aahil's character.

agree as for Ahil being calm yesterday and getting lost in Sanam. He was calm because it looked like he had been drinking a lot that's why he didn't have the energy and strength to take out his anger. Obviously when someone is drunk they are not really in their senses and don't do things they normally do. As for being lost he has always been lost in sanam whenever they have gotten close to each other unintentionally and now since he was drunk he didn't have control over himself and his emotions hence he didn't stop himself from admiring her in the position they were in at that time. One thing I agree on is their love story is trying to be rushed. All the hate/anger between them is fading away bit by bit without no reason. I thought their love story was going to take a very long time to progress even longer than Asad and Zoya's love story. Because Ahil has been way more rude and arrogant than Asad and has done many things that have hurt Sanam starting with burning her dhaba and telling her to bend down and apologize to him. So I'm upset about the way things are turning out.
Another thing yes they're literally trying to COPY QH 1 especially in that burial scene. Like what the hell couldn't they think if another way Sanam can get in trouble and Ahil coming to her rescue. Did she really have to get buried?? Also Ahil screaming Sanam and getting worried scared etc that he lost Sanam. He didn't even like her and couldn't stand her to begin with so how on earth he started feeling restless for her. So out of character and don't know what Gul Cvs or whatever are thinking. That scene had it's own magic on ASYA and it worked perfectly at that time because Asad had already started developing feelings towards Zoya. It's not working with Ahil and Sanam's love story. I must say I'm feeling very disappointed with the way QH2 is going right now.

@Malika.Dua,,, Thank You so much for your valuable pointers and the the things you pointed out. Thank God you understood my POV regarding Aahil getting worried so much about Sanam in the burial scene thing. According to me the last scene in Friday's episode between SaHil could have been shot with little more sense. It seemed rushed and included unnecessarily. Instead they could have finished the episode on Badi Begum asking Sanam to leave for Graveyard right away and Sanam in dilemma weather to go or not. The SaHil scene could have been shown in Monday's episode with better editing and some nice lines and some better emotions. The actors looked tired in the scene and it looked like that their concentration is not there in the scene. For instance Aahil could have asked Sanam as where she is off to at such odd hours at night and could have stopped her from going with his "I own You " Rant. I don't know what to expect from cv's they are wasting talented actors like KVB and SJ by giving them senseless dialogues and scenes.

You said it all, I agree with you, it seems too rushed, and the whole scene is a copy of qh1, it was a perfect with Asya and Asad was kind of attracted to her at that time, and almost in love, but was not aware of it, here it is too soon for such a scene, Friday scene was so weird, it is too soon for I'm to accept her, two episodes before you show them loggerheads and now after one day he is warming up? I was also surprised.. anyway that's the reason I keep on saying when they started qh2 it was not well thought of, they have no story nothing, they are taking one day at a time, and that is the reason we see there is no connection between the sequences, suddenly tannu is out of jail and it has become all her story which we do it care about, slowly Gul is making this another hate story with all the negativity..šŸ˜•šŸ˜” I truly think Cvs are giving more importance to tannu that he leads, they are talented people but they have o scenes, even Dilshad, she was such a strong character? And now, she has become worse than any other side actor..I have no hopes for qh2 if they do it focus, soon they are going down...

yaar I'm feeling disappointed with the way it's going right now. Nothing is appealing and fresh to me except for RaHa. They are the only thing I enjoy about QH.
@Bold
this is like the stupidest thing coming up in this show. If I dislike a person and hate the sight of them and treat that person like a servant as if I own them, then is there ever a possibility that I will start screaming their name like crazy and feel restless at the thought of loosing them. Like come on Gul khan use some common sense. The watchers/fans of Qubool Hai are not little babies or people without a brain that will watch/endure whatever is given to them.
agree even though their was proximity and both looked lost in each other but I didn't really enjoy that scene. It felt like Gul Khan added it to just satisfy the fans cause it's been along time since we got a SaHil moment. Like people want Sanam and Ahil scenes but they want scenes that make sense not scenes that are added to just basically shut a fans mouth and make him throw his brain out to enjoy the scene.
