Her Voice
"Aahil! I love you!" He heard Sanam call out in his fantasy. A sleepy smile came on his face as he sighed.
In his fantasy, he thought about the trip to the ocean that the family including Sanam and Lateef had gone to. (after Tanveer's return)
Somewhere there's a girl
Who's like the shimmer of the wind upon the water
"Wow! So pretty!" he heard Sanam whisper as she stood next to him. Gazing at the sea in awe unaware of his eyes staring at her with a look of curiosity and care.
After what felt like hours, he noticed that she was shivering as she was too engrossed in the breathtaking scenery of the beach.
He took off his jacket and placed it around her shoulders as the wind brushed her hair, causing it to fall on her face as she looked at him.
Somewhere there's a girl
Who's like the glimmer of the sunlight on the sea
The sunlight made her look like an angel as she glowed before him, smiling at him in the form of her thank you.
He smiled back as he brushed the strand of hair that had fallen behind her ear.
She nodded at him as she walked off to Nazia and Asma.
(2nd. Fantasy: Sanam singing by the pool)
Somewhere there's a girl
Who's like a swell of endless music
Aahil came home after a long day from work and Tanya to see Sanam, sitting by the pool ledge, humming a lullaby.
He watched her as time stopped around him. The only thing he saw was Sanam, he was lost in her son as he gazed at her.
Somewhere she is singing
And her song is meant for me
He felt that song was meant for him as he was so lost in it. She looked like an angel as she hummed the song with calm sighs.
And her voice it's sweet as angels sighing
And her voice it's warm as summer sky
Her humming felt like it was pure sweetness to his ears as he felt his cold-heart warm.
And that sound it haunts my dreams
And spins me 'round until it seems, I'm flying
He shut his eyes and he pictured Sanam standing there, smiling at him. He heard her hum again and again as he felt himself soar like he was flying.
Her voice
It captured him... Her voice did something to him and it scared him but he liked it. And he was thrown into an abyss.
(3rd. Fantasy: Her Laugh)
In the morning, he heard her laugh as he walked out of his room to see Sanam laughing with Asma and another girl.
He watched her as she did hand motions to the other girl and called her 'Haya.'
Well, I can sense her laughter
In the ripple of the waves against the shoreline
He noticed that 'Haya' hand signaled Sanam, something and she started laughing.
Her laugh made his heart race and his stomach turn. It was strange yet he enjoyed it for some reason.
And I can see her smiling
In the moonlight as it settles on the sand
He watched her smile before he went back into his room, thinking about her smile and laugh.
I can feel her waiting
Just beyond the pale horizon
He watched her by the window as she waved bye to Asma and Haya before she walked away to his door, waiting for him to open it.
Singing out a melody
Too lovely to withstand
She started humming again as he opened the door, feeling her emotion of happiness.
And her voice it's there as dusk is falling
And her voice it's there as dawn steals by
"Is there anything you want me to do?" She asked him with a small smile. Her voice was special to him so he shook his head and closed it.
Pure and bright, it's always near
All day, all night and still I hear it calling
Her voice was pure and bright, always inviting to him. He could hear it when she is not speaking.
Singing da, da, da, da, da, da, da
It sounded like a melody to him. A perfect harmony...That went da,da,da.
It was blissful to him.
Strange as a dream
Real as the sea
He felt strange as if this were a dream but it was Real as the Sea.
He wished if she can hear him...
If you can hear me now
If she can hear his thoughts, sighs and how his heart races around her.
Come set me free
Oh, come set me free
He wished if she can come and set him free from the chaos called life.
Tanya and the other girls were nothing to him, his best friend Sanam was a lot more special. She was his everything after Nazia, Shazia, and his Ammi.
And her voice it's sweet as angels sighing
And her voice it's warm as summer sky
The way she says his name makes his heart race. Her voice held warmth as she laughed or hummed.
And that sound it haunts my dreams
And spins me 'round
Until it seems, I'm flying, I'm flying
"Aahil, Aahil, Aahil..." Her voice haunted his dreams, day and night. Driving him, insane but her smile calmed him down.
Strange as a dream
Real as the sea
It was strange that it felt like a dream but it was real. Her voice was real. She was real. And she really belongs with him.
Her voice is calling to me
"Aahil!" He heard Sanam call out as he heard a string of knocks and taps on the door follow.
He opened his eyes to see Sanam, standing there, holding his lunch.
"Aahil, please open the d----!" She could not finish her sentence because he had already opened the door and pulled her into a hug.
He let go of her as she stared at him, confused. Aahil gave her a small smile and kissed her forehead.
"I love you, Sanam." He simply told her as she nodded and smiled back at him.
"I love you too. And Aahil Raza Ibrahim, you belong with me." Sanam laughed.
Aahil laughed also.
"And you belong with me also. Especially your beautiful voice." He smiled as he kissed her lips, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her into his warm embrace.
Sanam's eyes widen for a moment before she closed them, kissing him back.
Their lips broke apart as he still held her.
"I have something planned for the two of us later." He told her as he winked at her. Sanam turned red and broke out of his embrace. And ran out of there.
Aahil walked to the window and watched Sanam run before he tapped on the window to get her attention which worked because she looked up at him.
Sanam looked around before blowing him an air kiss as she got into the taxi.
After awhile, she walked back into the Haveli to see Lateef with a gift box and phone in her hand.
Lateef gave Sanam the phone and she placed it on her ear.
"Hello Sanam, place wear this tonight and meet me by the pool for your surprise." Aahil told her through the phone and he hung up.
She opened it and saw a red silk sari, with a note.
My Sweetheart,
Please meet me at the pool, tonight, 7'o clock. And remember that I love you.
-Aahil.
She smiled walking away with her gifts, humming their lullaby, hers and Aahil's.
