i am sorry to disagree...have u watched the dhaba burning episode? ahil and sanam confrontation in the dark? the laddo challenge episode where sanam breaks the fourth bottle? didn't u still feel the fire in her character? yes, i agree that most of the time her character lacks this fire but it is the requirement of the character ; not bad acting...
i am not telling that she is the best actress in the TW, but she is definitely better than most... and IMO she is more than perfect when it comes to emotional scenes...

I don't think the TM is a troll or a basher, just a viewer enjoying the show and expressing her dislikes on a certain matter and in a very appropriate manner she has done so. Lets stop deterring people from showing different opinions in the forum.

As for Surbhi's acting, like some people here have said, it really is subjective. Every attribute of a show is for that matter. No actor is flawless (save a few perhaps? ) and neither is Surbhi. I think Surbhi is an amazing actor and has a come a long way since the show has started but there are certain areas where she needs working on and areas that have sort of gone down. Earlier she did not have this set standard expression for a certain emotion but now I often see this. I also think that while she has certainly transitioned from Zoya to Sanam, I still see tiny traces of Zoya in some places. It is no doubt difficult to get out of an iconic character that has been played for a long time but it has to be done and for her sake and the show's sake, I hope it happens faster. This could be because hse is working constantly? I wish there was a gap before the leap. Allows the actors to be freshened up and prepare for the role- Surbhi literally had no time to prepare- and the PH to actually THINK out the story, characters and write everything out logically.
Oh and I disagree with the opinion on the dori scene, I think she did wonderfully there, and the fire of the character, I see the fire and determination in Sanam.
So I agree and disagree with the TM. :)

On other points, where for the most part KVB is great as Ahil, he too has flaws. I thought I was the only one who found the accent just wrong? Seems like I am not afterall. And yes, leaps and replacements is almost like murdering a show. And in Qubool Hai's case, it was worse with the brutal way a very much loved couple was killed off and we all know what happened before that.
For me, SaHil is the only saviour of the show.

...i always feel that female leads of Gul's show are little OTT sometimes and so was zoya in starting but I will also say that later on in the show surbhi has improved herself a lot and has proven herself , especially in emotional scenes and Guys , everyone improves with time and so is she.😊

You are entitled to your opinion but I never had any problem with her expressions...I will admit I thought she used to go a lil OTT as Zoya but never as Sanam. I am totally loving her as Sanam. She is much better than most of the young actresses of TV right now.
Coming to KVB then he has always spoke with that accent, even in his previous shows,so I assume it comes naturally to him. Never had problem with it, in fact I love it.

@ delena90- really? I can't say I have watched this show obssessively..I haven't even watched all the episodes but I have seen enough I think..her range of expressions is pretty impressive to me.But yes intense scenes are certainly her forte, there is something touching about her crying that makes me go 'awww zoya' even if there is some hamming involved!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions and there is no need for people to get personal with each other because views happen to b different ,and to indirect ref to other actresses and their expressions is totally uncalled for
Surbhi is an actor and just like other she too can be criticized for her work !

Surbhi is a fine actress and she totally owned zoya. That was no wonder since zoya was a wonderfully etched out character.
But that she owns Sanam and that too so soon, in spite of the fact that the character is not well defined is surely due to her acting abilities.
And her expressions as Sanam are more subdued than zoya and totally goes with the character of a servant. Check out her scenes with haya and lateef where she is the real Sanam. With ahil, she is prejudiced, with others she is the servant.
And yes I agree with most here, her expressions in dori scene was outstanding. Her expressions turned the scene from being romantic one to a damsel in distress.
No offence meant to the TM - to each his/her own yardstick. I started liking SJ for her expressions and comic timing.

She improves at a pretty awesome rate...so if the director or someone has some complaints and those are communicated to her then there should be no problem. And I suppose I am the only one who is not completely lattoo over kvb..the style and the accent comes across as really unnatural to me 😆

@bold Some also are still lattoo over him cause of his psychotic acting in his previous show, you know for which he won all the awards over Abhaas Mehta and Sajan Singh even when Life Ok was just a new channel.. I must admit he was eons ahead in his previous show as far as performance is concerned. I just think QH2 and its characters are poorly written so idk how much we can blame the actors/actresses.

Surbhi has displayed a range of emotions in QH1 as Zoya. She has been excellent in comedy and emotional scenes. I can never forget the eye nautanki she did at the dining table when she was describing the white eyed person she saw at Jashn-e-Saugat 😆 or the first AsYa bathroom scene when she is shocked to see Asad there and says "six packs?" or the graveyard scene and the living room AsYa scene after the graveyard scene where she says she can never hate her Abbu. Well I can go on an on. I loved her in the dori scene. She expressed Sanam's helplessness beautifully. She has played Zoya and Sanam very well. Not once have I seen Zoya in Sanam. The two are totally different characters who just look like each other. I have loved Sanam's character just like I loved Zoya's even though I love Zoya a lot more than I love Sanam and miss her. She was very good in the dhaba burning scene, the couple of scenes when she has given it back to Ahil esp her bottle breaking scene and the lighter scene, her scenes with Haya. So yeah she has displayed a range of emotions and beautifully too. I absolutely love her dialogue delivery and voice modulation. She is brilliant in this department. I have always loved her as Zoya since the very beginning but yes she has improved a lot. I did find her OTT a few times as Zoya but I guess that's because Zoya herself was an OTT character and SJ played Zoya to perfection. I like her portrayal of Sanam too. I'm watching this show only for SaHil and SurVir. The rest of the cast is pathetic and the story is the same old.

Oh he won awards too...I will try watching some of his scenes from that show, have read so much about it.I was excited about QH2 but find it really uninteresting these days...but even if the characters were better written and the storyline more developed I don't see how the wannabe-ness that I think he brings to aahil raza ibrahim would be gone.Like during his telephone conversation with nida...his body language, accent everything.
