Hi

Here is chapter 18.

I know I am very late this time. Kindly forgive me for late update.

I am really very busy with my family. My cousin is getting married on June 4^th and my sister in law is getting engaged on June 8^th. So I hope you guys can imagine how busy I am. I am really not sure when I will be updating next part. Will try to do if I get free time in between. I was planning to update today morning but as I was not feeling well, the update is late.

Please forgive me if the update is not good. There may be mistakes and friends, kindly excuse for mistakes as proof reading is not done. And please leave your comments. And again a humble request to silent readers to break their silence.

Chapter 18

Zoya was shocked to the core. She couldn't register what has happened. Asad kissed her on her lips. Moreover their parents saw it. She was trying to get up from the bed. Suddenly

As: " Zoya please don't get up. Please lie down "and facing to Dilshad and Zeenat who were equally shocked: " Ammi , please there is no need to over react. It was just accidental. I was just trying to comfort Zoya but since she titled her head it happened so. It was not a deliberate attempt. And above all I know my limits, Ammi. So please do not jump into conclusions."

Zeenat and Dilshad moved towards Asad and Zoya.

Dil: " It is ok. I trust you that you haven't done this deliberately. But we cannot wait till you do so. We will get both of you married as soon as Zoya is fine.I will talk to your abbu regarding this." Dilshad said with a smile trying to tease Asad. Zeenat also smiled at this. Zoya was blushing at this comment.

As: " Ammi please. But how did you know that we are ready for marriage? I mean, I did not confirm this to both of you."

Dil: " Ayaan had called me. He told me that you have officially announced Zoya as his bhabhi. Moreover Zeenat also told me when I reached here. Your abbu also know about this. Zoya's father is with Rashid. They are having a discussion regarding this. I am really happy for you beta." Dilshad hugged Asad. Her eyes were filled with tears of happiness.

Dilshad moved towards Zoya's bed and sat in the chair near her bed. Zoya was about to get up but Dilshad asked her to lie down. She caressed Zoya's head, pecked her forehead: "Thank you so much beta for bringing my son back to life. Thank you for loving my son. Thank you for coming into our life beta and spreading light in our life. May Allah give you all the happiness in this world. Get well soon. After that I will take you home as my son's bride and above all as my daughter for whom I have been longing for years."

Zeenat was also very happy that her daughter has got such a lovely family.

Just then, Rashid came with Anwar.

Ras: " Zoya is fine now. Her reports are normal. I had talked to her doctor also. She has informed that Zoya will be discharged from hospital tomorrow. But she may need to rest for almost a week. So once she is fine, we will decide on the date of engagement. Anwar also has the same opinion."

Anwar: " Ya, we will have engagement as soon as Zoya will be fine and then we will decide the marriage date."

As: " I don't want engagement"

Everybody including Zoya was equally shocked at this

Ra: " What is this Asad? I thought you were ready for marriage."

As:" Of course abbu. I am ready for marriage. I am just telling we will directly go ahead with marriage. What is the need for engagement?"

Everyone's shock was replaced by smile. Zoya slightly pinched Asad on hearing this. Just then Asad realized what he blurted out. He said: " Abbu what I meant is that, why should we waste money and time unnecessarily? I meant to say that we need not have engagement as an elaborate affair as we did in case of Ayaan and Humeira. We can have a very private affair with only family members."

An: " Beta, we don't have any problem. If you both are ready to get married soon, then we can have engagement in a simpler way. But I don't know whether Zoya is ready for marriage soon as she has always insisted to get married only after ..."

Before Anwar could complete, As: " No, she is ready for marriage soon, Isn't it Zoya?" He asked facing Zoya. Zoya got up from bed and Asad helped her .

Zo: " Yes Abbu. Asad is right. I don't have any issues getting married soon"

Ra: " So it is decided we will have a simple engagement and a wedding very soon. The visiting hours are over now. So we all will have to leave now."

Di:" Zoya, beta take care and Asad are you coming with us now?"

As: " No ammi, you carry on. I will come."

Ra: " But beta, only one person can stay back. Since Zoya's ammi is here, come with us."

Anwar looked towards Zoya. On hearing that Asad has to leave now, he saw how his princess's smile vanished. So he told: " Let Asad be here for some more time then. Zeenat has to have dinner also. So we will be back after that."

Then Ra: " Yes Asad you wait here with zoya for some more time. Anyway from tomorrow onwards you won't be able to see her till your engagement after she is discharged from hospital."

As: " Not able to see, means what?"

Ra: " Beta , you cannot go to Zoya's home and be with her like this once she is discharged. I hope you understands me."

Both Zoya's and Asad's face fell hearing this. Anwar said: " It is ok Rashid. He can come and meet her. We won't mind"

Ra: " It is only a few days Asad. After that you can be with her all your life. More over after engagement you can meet her. Moreover you both are same office, So you can see then also, right. And also she needs rest now. So let her take rest. Anwar I know you won't mind, but before engagement it is not right. I don't want anybody to bad mouth my daughter. So Asad I want you to obey me, I don't want Zoya to face any problems."

Anwar and Zeenat were moved the way Rashid addressed Zoya as his daughter and that how he cares for her reputation.

Asad also understood that his father was right. But he can't even think of staying away from Zoya, not even for a day.

Ra: " Why don't we all go for dinner together. At least we will get some time to know each other better, And let Asad be here with Zoya. We will also call Haider and Ayaan also."

Everyone agreed to the same. They all left.

Asad and Zoya were left alone in the room. Just then the nurse came with Zoya's dinner.

Asad fed her the dinner. She insisted that she would eat only if Asad eats. But somehow he convinced her to eat. After dinner, she was given medicines also. Once the nurse went, Asad went behind her and locked the door.

He came and sat near her in her bed and she sat clinging to him resting her head on his chest.

As: " Zoya, will you tell me the truth if I ask you something?"

Zoya nodded her head.

As: "Are you ready for marriage soon. I mean I did not ask you before telling our parents. I know you love me but I should have asked you .."

Zo: " Asad , aren't you happy with our marriage ?"

As: " Of course Zoya. I am ready to get married even today."

Zo: " Here is your answer Asad. I have told you earlier itself, it is your happiness that makes me happy. If you are happy, then there is no need to ask me whether I am happy or not. "

As: " But still Zoya"

Zo: " I am happy Asad. Even I want to be with you. I really don't know how I will be able to stay away from you till our engagement. I am going to miss you terribly. "

Zoya's eyes were filled with tears.

Asad looked towards Zoya: " Zoya, please don't cry. You know very well, I can't see tears in your eyes. Even I can't stay away from you. Don't worry. I will figure it out. Don't you trust me? "

Asad said wiping her tears

Zo: " But what will we do ?"

As: "Don't stress yourself. You will not stay away from me for a single day. I will figure a way out. It is my promise, Zoya."

Zoya: "Promise?"

As: "Promise."

Zoya suddenly hugged him so tightly and kissed his cheeks. In all these days that Asad had been kissing Zoya inorder to comfort her, but it has been the first time, that Zoya initiated a kiss. Asad who was shocked, looked towards her.

Zo: " Please Asad don't look at me like that." She said blushing.

Asad smiled and said: " Why? You are mine Zoya, So I have full right to look at you. I agree that we haven't got married, but still you are mine. Nothing can change that now"

Zoya giggled and said:" Isn't it is really strange Asad? We both love each other so much. But we still don't know much about each other. We don't even know each other's likes and dislikes. I mean it will be almost like an arranged marriage where we get to know each other after marriage."

As: " Hmm. But there is only one difference that we don't need to wait for falling in love with each other as in case of arranged marriages."

Zo: " But still Asad I can't believe that I am in love. "

Asad took her hand in his. He started caressing her hand and said: " Really? You don't believe you are in love. I have certain ideas by which you will believe it, Want to experiment?"

Zoya looked at Asad questioningly and she could see the naughtiness in his eyes.

Zo: " No experiments please. I know I am in love."

Asad caresses her cheeks, brushed her hair from her face and said: " Really Zoya, please let me ..."

Before Asad could complete, Zo: " What is it that has gotten into your head Asad. Now go get up and open the door. Ammi may be here any time. What will she think?"

As: " Zoya, are you scared of me? I won't eat you up. And my dear let me remind you, your ammi cannot come inside unless I go out as the security will not let her. So don't worry. I just want to feel that you are mine and only mine. That is all"

Saying this Asad hugged Zoya so tightly and then caressed her hair and then kissed her on her forehead.

And then he kissed her on her cheek and he was about to kiss her lips. He looks at Zoya. He felt that she was not comfortable. He moved back and said: " I know my limits Zoya. So don't worry. And you don't have to do anything which you don't like just to make me happy. If you do so, it will not make me happy. He pecked her other cheek and moved towards the door and unlocked it. Just then, Asad's mobile rang. It was Ayaan on other side. He asked Asad to come out.

As: " Zoya, I am going now. They are waiting for me outside. Don't worry about anything. I will come tomorrow morning. Take care."

Zo: " Please figure out something. You promised me that you won't let me stay away from you."

As: " Promise dear. Good night."

Asad meet everyone outside. Ayaan was very excited. He told Asad that they have planned for their engagement on Friday, ie after four days. Asad was thinking as to what he should do.

Zoya dozed off due to the medicines. But Asad couldn't sleep.

Next morning, In khan villa

It was almost 09:00 am in the morning. Dilshad went to Asad's room to call him as he didn't come out for breakfast. But when she went inside, Asad was not in the room. She searched for him everywhere. She thought he would have gone to meet Zoya. But since he has not informed, she tried calling his mobile. There was no answer. She was worried. She decided to call Rashid and ask whether he is in the hospital or not. She called Rashid but could not talk to him as he was busy in a surgery. She called Zeenat but she replied that Zoya has been waiting for Asad since long and he hasn't reached yet. Moreover She also informed Dilshad that Zoya will be discharged by around 10:00 am. Dilshad informed Ayaan that Asad has gone somewhere without informing them and is not responding to the calls.

Meanwhile, Zoya was almost in tears as Asad hasn't turned up and moreover he is not picking up her calls also. She was very upset. Anwar and Haider also reached hospital as Zoya was being discharged.

Just then, Zoya received a call from Asad

As: " Zoya, I am almost there. I am sorry that I couldn't receive your calls. What time you have to leave?"

Zo: " Asad, how can you be so irresponsible? Where are you? We will be leaving in an hour. We are all ready to go. The doctor hasn't come yet. Just waiting for leave. She may be here in half an hour. We will leave then. I don't think I will be able to meet you today."

As: " No my dear I am just there in 5 minutes. Is your Abbu and Haider there?"

Zo:" Hmm they are here. Come soon."

After almost five minutes, Dilshad and Ayaan came to Zoya's room. They informed that Asad had called them. Ayaan went and met Rashid also. All were gathered in Zoya's room.

Just then, Asad came inside.

As dilshad was about to ask something, Asad said: " I know you all wondering I have called you guys here. The answer is simple. Me and Zoya are going to get engaged now here."

Zo: " What?"

Others were also shocked.

As: " What happened Zoya. You have any problem. We wanted a simple ceremony for engagement in presence of our family. See our family is here. It really doesn't matter we are in a hospital or in house.

Our house is where our family is. And our family is here. So we can get engaged now".

Dil: " But Asad, we need to get atleast ..."

Before Dilshad could complete, he took two little boxes out from his pocket and gave to Dilshad. She opened and saw two beautiful platinum rings. She never knew Asad had such a beautiful choice.

Everyone was shocked. Zoya didn't know whether she was happy or shocked. Zoya was sitting on her bed . Asad went near her and sat near her in her bed. He took a ring from Dilshad and said to Zoya: " I love you Zoya. I can't live without you. I promise you I will always keep you happy. Please marry me."

Zoya never expected Asad to take such a bold step in front of their families. She looked towards Asad, then towards her parents and brother as if she wanted their permission. All had smile in their faces. Anwar and Zeenat were initially shocked but realized how madly Asad is in love with Zoya that he has taken such a step.

Anwar, Zeenat and Haider nodded their heads as if to give her consent.

She extended her hand towards Asad and said: " I love you too. I will marry you Asad."

Before sliding the ring into her finger, Asad looked towards Dilshad, Rashid and Ayaan and they also obliged to his decision.

And finally Asad slid the ring to her finger and then kissed her hand. Zoya also slid ring to Asad's finger and then everybody clapped.

Ay:" Finally bhai. I can't believe you did all this.I am so happy for you." He hugged Asad and congratulated him and facing Zoya: " Congrats bhabhi."

Haider also congratulated Asad and Zoya.

Dilshad and Zeenat exchanged hugs same as Anwar and Rashid. All four blessed Asad and Zoya.

Just then As: " Abbu, now I can go and visit Zoya? Isn't it so?"

Everybody laughed at his question. Rashid: " Yes beta. You can go and visit her but still can't stay with her. And don't worry before you yourself make arrangements for your marriage, we will get you both married."

Rashid teased Asad and everyone laughed.

Everybody was happy.

Zo: " Thank you for keeping your promise Asad. But how did you manage?"

As: " Anything for you dear. This is just a small thing. I can do anything for your smile. Love you."

Zo: " I love you too."

Just a few minutes later, Dilshad's mobile rang. The smile in her face changed into a tensed one.

Everyone noticed that. Asad got up from bed and moved towards Dilshad.

As: " What happened Ammi? Whose call is it? Answer the call."

Dil: " It is your Daadi Asad. What will I tell her Asad?"

As :" Daadi..??"
