Zoya's POV:

I reach my home and see Zeenat aapi busy in kitchen. I made my way towards her and hugged her from behind announcing my arrival.

"How was your day Zoya?" she asked smiling affectionately.

Encounters with Mr.Khan and my day at work flashed before my eyes, causing my eyebrows to frown.

" It was good" I said forcing a smile.

" By the way where's Humei? Isn't she back from college yet?" I ask, my eyes scanning the room.

" She came back few hours ago. She's in her room. "

I climb the stairs and go to my room to freshen up before meeting Humeira.

After I finished my shower I go to meet Humeira.

I open the door to see none in the room. I hear the sound of the shower and think to wait until she finishes her bath.

I see some photos facing backwards ,lying down beside an album . I think of keeping the photos in the album and take the photos.

I am about to turn the photo when I hear Humeira's startled voice "Aapi When did you come ? "

"I just came now. And why are these photos lying down?"

"Uh..I was just re-arranging them in the album" Something in her voice told me that she was lying.

"Humeira are you hiding something from me? And the reason you came with me to India with me was to stay with me or something else?" I ask what was going on in my mind for a long time.

"Yes..Why are you asking like this?"

"Because I felt you were sad even before we planned to come here.."

"There's nothing like that aapi..You are just over-thinking." Understanding that this was not getting anywhere I drop the idea of questioning her further and decide to change the topic.

"Hmm..How was your college?" I asked hoping this would clear the air of tension in the room.

"It was good." She said, forcing a smile.

"I will just go and check whether Ammi needs some help. Ok?" I ask understanding that she needs some time to open up.

She nods and I leave the room after handling the photographs back to her.

I don't know what Humi is hiding from me but am sure that she will say it to me one day.

I make my way back to the room and browse through my mails .My mind wanders to the happenings in the office which ofcourse gave me no peace thinking about Mr.Khan.
