The D day has come and the leap is here and the most dreaded end is behind us. For one last time I longingly watched the montage that brought back reminascences of once loved show and the characters.
It is too early to judge the leap but for me it looked like a frog and I am hoping like in a fairly tale, this frog turns in to a prince one day, my hopes were shattered once by this PH but I am willing to give one more chance for my love for the first few months of QH that even today gives me goosebumps and makes me go all nostalgic.

I felt no connection to any of the characters yet, opening was too predictable to my taste, Dilshad running away with Haya and Sanam believing Seher died in the fire, not keeping any contacts with Bhopal to protect her grand children identity is too cliched.

I am disappointed with the nude guy's looks, he seems to be a good actor but not at all yummy looking, he looked more grey and aged to me with porous skin, vilanish lips than a supposedly Casanova. I liked the other chap though, he is such a sweetie pie. Haya is decent looking.

Coming to Sanam, this is a great opportunity for Surbhi to showcase her talent by making viewers believe that the Surbhi we are seeing on screen is Samam not Zoya but I am disappointed a bit as her mannerisms, dialogue delivery are so very similar to Zoya. I get it that Sanam is Zoya's daughter but just making changes to appearance alone don't cut it, even some mannerisms should be unique to the character Sanam. No daughter would be 100% replica of mother in features and mannerisms, features we can discount as the same actresd was retained to do daughter's role but attention to mannerisms is very essential to bring out Sanam as her own than just as an extension to Zoya. Surbhi should take this opportunity to show her verstality and chamilian traits as an actress, she is capable but need some grooming from her director and mentors. Hrithik in Kaho na pyar hain had same situation and he nailed it, though pre and post characters were played by same actor, for a viewer it was effortlessly presented as two different individuals and that's what I was expecting from QH folks with Sanam character. Zoya character over shadowing Sanam will multiply with Seher's entry if QH team don't quickly work on shaping distict mannerisms for each character.

Who is the lady the sweetie pie referring to? Billi? Razia? Or one more new entry? Any guesses?

I agree with your post they should add more unique mannerism to Sanam's charcter or may be they could have added some of Asad's (KSG) from the begining to her charcter more focusiing on perfection of things that could be new for Shurbi as actor as last that was sone by KSG
I dont know what i feel KV could be related to Tanveer ( i dont want him to be his son ) but yeah may be in some bussiness or anything (creative team can wor on tht 😆 )

I Expected sanam to be almost same as Asad and sehar to be more of zoyaa and some gunda estyle 😆😆😉 ( as she is not with family so survivial skills you know 😉 ) well still have to wait for sehar and we can wait for some time for time being its time for sanam
I didnt catch his name i forgot that was tough 😛😳 ( sorry i am not gud at rembering muslim names)

Surbhi is acting the same way as Zoya except a bit change in hair style and costumes, hope she will come up with something new in coming episodes.

I too have that hunch as CVs not capable of thinking beyond Billi.

Yeah...I want some more uniqueness too. I want some more Punjabi from her & some more changes. Even some dialogues are totally like Zoya's.
Let's see what happens. This was the first episode only.

I am with you fully, I mentioned in some other post too, that i am really not impressed with first episode, it was disappointing and it shows how they have rushed to the whole sequence, Iam sure they did not give enough time to think through, I do not blame the actors they are just doing their part, It is director's makers job to do all the research, Anyway new guy did not impress me, hopefully he will soon get in to the character, his entry was awful to my taste, entire scene was Ugh! not classy at all, and that is the reason think they all rushed this leap, Also Surbhi probably did not get any time to prepare for the character. I really hope GK has some story, and she is interested in making this show a success, otherwise they are not going to sustain, I mean we have so many punjabi dramas, we do not want another one.. I hope they focus on the script and the story and positivity. I am willing to watch it for some more time, as I understand this is just a start.. Wish entire team the best, hope they do a good job..

I agree, the dialogue delivery and everything is just too similar to Zoya's. It feels like it's Zoya but in a different outfit. It's going to be even more difficult if Surbhi's going to play a double role! She, along with the director etc. Need to make sure that there are distinct differences between Zoya, Sanam and Seher's characters, and not just look wise.

The male lead, Ahil, doesn't exactly have the 'wow-factor' imho. I'm more used to seeing Karanveer in villain roles. But I'll give him a chance.

Like you said; most parts of the story was pretty cliche-ish. But it's only been one episode so far.

What I also found weird was that it's been 20 years but Dilshad hasn't aged at all. The only thing they changed about her was the glasses. What about some white strands in her hair? Some makeup to make her look older? I found that to be quite odd.

😆 I know right? That is our drama industry, they are forever young people, ageless.. The reason for that is actors are young and they are not ready to play aged characters, and even if they agree they will not do any makeup to age themselves, thats teething with most of them. so they all look awesome even if they are 70 or80 years old.
Anyway I just could not connect with any character today, no emotional attachment, I think that is because the whole thing was rushed guess they did not get enough time to study their roles.Anyway lets hope they have a good story for us.

Yeah! punjabi, Bihari and Rajasthani dramas are overdone. I was expecting Dilshad to run away to Mauritus, where she had some trusted friend or if budget is an issue, they should have show as somewhere in south India for newness.

New lead looked so middle aged but I liked the other guy.
