She, along with the director etc. Need to make sure that there are distinct differences between Zoya, Sanam and Seher's characters, and not just look wise.

The male lead, Ahil, doesn't exactly have the 'wow-factor' imho. I'm more used to seeing Karanveer in villain roles. But I'll give him a chance.
Yes, me too disappointed with his looks. Close up shots are more of a horror to me, no offense to the actor, he might be a talented one but below average in looks section.

Like you said; most parts of the story was pretty cliche-ish. But it's only been one episode so far.
Yes, it's just beginning but the plot itself sounds cliched to me not just the episode, past experience with PH don't give much hope either but trust me I am giving it a try hope against hope.

What I also found weird was that it's been 20 years but Dilshad hasn't aged at all. The only thing they changed about her was the glasses. What about some white strands in her hair? Some makeup to make her look older? I found that to be quite odd.
Her eyesight aged 😆, may be she got kids young like 18 yrs, so she may be in her late 60s and preserved her beauty with yoga, healthy food and face packs. 🤣. To be honest, they should have shown a bit of grey hair and little bit of wrinkles with help of make up to give realistic impact.

You spoke my mind..
About Surbhi, Sanam, male leads entry ,I agree with your each and every word.. Episode was plain flat for me..

Sanam is too much of Zoya.. CV's should have been little creative in writing character. And Surbhi was monotonous with same expressions and same dialogue deliver.. I started disliking Zoya's loudness after a while , It was too much noise for me.. They are doing same now with Sanam.. It could have been better mix of AsYa.. Something like not open at first, reserved with new faces but talks a lot with close friends, families.. There are ppl like this and such characters has many layers.

I hase womaniser heros.. KVB looks OK, but entry was flop.. BG sucked..

For first episode, it was too shallow and predictable.. And again BG sucked for entire episode.. They faild badly.. If we go back and check BG of QH first episode with every character's entry, it was so intriguing and actually before Asad, Zoya I fell in love with BG, screenplay and direction. Here direction was average only..

My verdict: 3/10( For Dilshad, Lambu and Rehan's cuteness)

hola G4W...for me the episode did nothing. I could only see Zoya clad in a salwar with her hair tied back. Nothing much changed.
Even the bloody dhaba did not look authentic. Check out Nadaan Parindey on Life OK. They are also set in a border town in Punjab with the dhaba as the main background.

KV entry was very very thanda. I wish they could have gone with something more creative.

Like some people said, the episode and the characterization made it clear that it was all very rushed.

TBH I expected a lot more from the Creatives and the Producers for the first episode of the new season. I guess the interest levels show with the product they are showcasing.

G4W, I knew you would rant.
And you did.

Chalo, your points are valid. But I personally, really enjoyed it.
Lets wait for a few episodes to decide how different sanam is from zoya.
A family interaction of sanam+dilshad+Haya as introduciton would've been better. But I guess, the Sanam having her own business was the first impression they wanted to created.

Now only if they show sanam as pursuing education alongwith the dhaba thing, then I;m fine with it.
I mean, work is work, nothing is small or big. Dilshad, in spite of being educated, used to stitch clothes. So maybe she opened this dhaba and sanam took over. And sanam did say she has been working since last 5 years.
This week should clear which path they are planning to tread on.

Good for you, you have a bigger heart than me.

Are you saying that they are giving Sanam a progressive image? Well! But why to show arranged marriage and Nikah of a 20+ girl? How can Sanam be sure that the stranger who will be her hubby soon will allow her to follow her dreams?

Now only if they show sanam as pursuing education alongwith the dhaba thing, then I;m fine with it.

Sanam even said she has to take care of Haya operation but at the same time agreed to marry a local guy as she believes Dilshad won't take wrong decision but again Haya is elder than Sanam and her operation is pending, why Sanam is being pushed into wedlock? Something is not gelling but as you said its just beginning, lets see how it shapes up.

This week should clear which path they are planning to tread on.
Yeah! I will give it 1-2 weeks and make a decision to quit or stay, QH has become like a habit to me.

I completely agree with the fact that Sanam is way too much like Zoya!
I expected some freshness out of the character and I didn't see any hopefully will in the coming episodes, but the thing is Cvs are trying to kind of use Zoya here as well considering she was a popular character. It's all for the TRPs. 😆
Things she should inherit from Zoya like her braveness and her boldness I couldn't see but maybe I judge too much. 😕
