Dear diary,
The highlight of the episode was Zoya's outburst...her frustrations that have built up from childhood found release today...beautifully written and perfectly enacted...but what held my attention was Asad's response. Bewildered...This is not a Zoya he knows...He has always known how important her Abbu was to her...but the way she ruthlessly wanted to follow a mirage surprises him. This is not the strong girl he knows...but he understands that Zoya wants to hang onto every little thread that could or could not lead to her Abbu...
Did Asad know there was a dam behind the quiet and gentle stream called Zoya? When the flood of emotions come down in a torrent, only the strongest of rocks can break the flow and save the banks of that gentle stream, preserving it. Will Asad be that sturdy rock withstanding the current, allowing itself to get chipped?
Abbu: A very touching scene- a man lamenting his bad luck and good luck...all he can do is, pray for the daughter he had regretted sending away... Now it is too late to redeem himself... He can only wish blessings upon this daughter he no longer had any claim to. Forget claims..he did not even have the right to wipe her tears...he was sentenced to a lifetime of separation and anguish when it came to this daughter he had grown to adore...(I am an idiot!😳 I thought he was going to ask for blessings for Humeira!😕😆)
Hats off to the writers for that scene near the Masjid🤗...the impatient honking of a horn...the old man wearily raising his hands in... Defeat? Resignation?... Haider stumbling on the truth that his chutki was very much alive...Haider's breakdown and elation...all beautifully portrayed...👏👏👏What is he going to do with this piece of information?
Of course, the episode belonged to Zoya...rather, Surbhi...I could not take my eyes off her effortless expressions..and Raqesh...indeed, he was the picture of the calm that faced the storm...All the actors rocked today!👏
So, Zoya has embarked on a mission...she does not care how disastrous it might turn out to be! She has had enough. Someone is playing with her emotions...and that someone knows about her Abbu. Naturally, the first person she suspects is Tanveer...and Tanveer vehemently denies it to the extent of swearing on her blood...(How I wish the CVs had shown Tanveer having a miscarriage in the paagalkhana and that adding to her fire of revenge!🤔 Kitna logic ban jaata phir! It is not too late anyway...They can still show it in flashbacks...😃)
Hmm..So Qubool Hai is at a very interesting juncture now. Could Haider be the one to lead Zoya to her Abbu? Or would he keep his newfound secret to himself, mindful of the storm that Gafur's revelation could bring into Zoya's life? Very very interesting...😳
