So, I know there are many here today who are totally turned off by the current HuHa track. They feel that Humeira was butchered today. I don't agree and I will get to it in a mintue.
But first I want to congratulate Ketki, the chota packet bada dhamaka of QH team. The brilliance of the actors around her has rubbed off on this rookie. She was good today as the revenge seeking, self-centered, pampered girl who did not think through her actions. This is one actress to watch out for. She is not only pretty, but she is a darn good actress too. Take a bow girl, here comes a huge round of applause for her👏
Now coming to Humeria. Here are my reasons as to why I don't think her character was butchered.
- Instance one - Rajni track: We had seen a little bit of this one-track, determined girl back then. She had got it into her head that Razia was upto something and she left no stone unturned to figure out what.
- Instance two - Suicidal Humy: Post Rajni track, she had decided to hate Ayaan. She did not think through any of her actions whether they were not taking her pills or hurting Ayaan verbally and physically or even trying to kill her own self. She was in love with the guy, had always been in love with him, yet when he had crossed her, she took revenge. She was always revengeful.
- Instance three - ZoYaan track: All it took were a few poisonous words from her mother and a handful of visuals that could be misinterpreted by an insecure mind and voila. She erupts!!! She spoke without choosing her words or even paying attention to them. She did realize later that she was wrong, yet it did show that she does not always think through. She tends to react first and then rationalize.
- Instance four - Current track: She and Zoya were like sisters at the start of the track but it really did not take long for Humeria to hold Zoya in contempt and consider her an enemy. She is quick to judge and form opinions.
- Last but not the least, she is Razia's biological daughter. I have had my doubts, but this track totally proves that she is indeed Razia's daughter and has her traits. What a trap!!!
Basically my point is that Humeria looks like a frail, waif angel but her personality was always a lot stronger than her physical appearance. Don't let her looks fool you.
So I rest my case. To me, she was in character given how her character has developed in the past.
Now coming to the current HuHa track. Well, the less said the better. It's a direct lift-off from one of my favorite movies and a scene done to death. The only saving grace was the acting and the pace at which it is being executed.
