Chapter 6

Later that night

Zoya on Skype with moeez

Zoya: Dekh we have been bestfriends for as far as I can remember right

Moeez: ab tune kiya kiya? (what have you done now?)

Zoya: I lied. I said I am going to prom with you

Moeez: WHAT!!! You finally fell for my charm ;) I knew it I am irresistible

Zoya: Oye don't flatter yourself. See that Akru Ahmed khan came to speak to me today and he was guessing who I am going to prom with. If I lied about someone in school he would know, and plus tu toh mera bestfriend hai na (plus you are my bestfriend rii) so I thought I'd be safe if I said your name and plus you aren't like other other kameena's Please please please just come to my prom with me. I promise I'll never bug you again or fight with you. Yeh izzaat ka sawal hai aab (now it's a question of my pride).

Moeez: aghhh... but I don't understand why u didn't just tell him you are going alone.

Zoya: kyun ke I didn't want him to ask me, simple as that.

Moeez: but u love him toh phir why the drama?

Zoya: cause I know he doesn't like me, but now we are friendsJ

Moeez: okay w.e u say. But let me tell you I am not going to do anything stupid like get u flower and colour coordinate

Zoya: MOEEZYYY please. We have to match, we are prom dates remember. I am okay with no flowers but we have to match.

Moeez: tu sach mein pagal hai zoii (you are really crazy). You know you will hurt yourself, and if he likes you then he'll be hurt too

Zoya: Chalo, now I said it I can't take back my word. Plus I won't be hurt cause I'll be with the bestest besti ever!!!

Moeez: Chal I'll pick you up from your house, are you going to tell aunty i am ur prom date;)

Zoya: If you want i'll tell her. but she knows we are bestfriends so she won't question

*PROM DAY - outside the hall*

Moeez parks the car and says"zoya, are you sure you want to do this", "Moeez, i am so sure. i am not going to regret anything or be hurt. plus i have you na. i trust you more then i trust myself!" zoya smiled. Moeez opened the door for zoya and she slipped her arm in his and walked in. "zoya, before we get inside, this is for you," moeez said handing her a beautiful red rose corsaige. zoya put her arm out for him to tie the corsaige and hugged him and said "sorry i didn't get you a boutiner." "zoii, i knew my date would be unprepared so i got one brought one. now pin it on me so we can get inside." moeez said softly.

They walked inside the hall arm in arm, smiling so nicely that anyone would think they are in love. Humaira was the first to run over and crush zoyaa with a hug "OMG, MashAllah you look adorable (btw nice cutie you came with;) Asad's gonna be so jealous )" she whispered. and turned to moeez to say "So i finally get to meet you, i have heard a lot about you. shes always talking about you." Humaria started blabbing "btw, this is Ayaan, my boyfriend, that Faizan, a friend, thats Faisal another friend, Priya i am sure she told you about her, and fatima (her other childhood besti) and last but not least thats ASAD!" Humaira Introduced him to the table.

"Humi.. i could have introduced them... well guys. This is my Moeezy, my bestest besti ever. Love him " She said as they sat down, moeez just looked at her trying to say don't over do it. because the way your akru is looking at me i might not be able to walk out of her alive.

Asad's POV

She looks so flawless, so perfect. She isn't wearing pounds of make up like the other girls, just light make up, looking totally classy, but shes not wearing red, why. i thought she dreamed of wearing red, maybe moeez is just her friend and nothing else. WHAT! did she just say she loves him? Why is he holding her arm so lightly. like relax guy we are all sitting on a table noone else is getting so cosy with their dates or girlfriends . . . i don't like him at all.

Fatima: "omg moeez, you look so much different now compared to as a child. i must say zoii's got good taste ;) "

Priya: "yea the way zoya keeps saying how amazing and cute you are, i wish we all had someone like that in our lives."

Asad in his thoughts " are they just friends or boyfriend girlfriend" and these girls find him perfect, well clearly right now zoya can't stop smiling.

"No matter what happens, i know she'll always be by myside and i'll be by hers and if anyone messes with her, hurts her or makes her cry i make sure they cry to." Moeez said looking directly at asad

Zoya whispered "Moeezy, bus karo" with hope that noone hears her

* Dance begins *

Everyones dancing as a group having fun, until the dj said "now all the ladies on the floor, we'll play single ladies and all you men that love these wonderful ladies can come and try to get your ladyy off the dance floor!!"

Zoya ran to moeez and hand him her rings and ran back to the girls and started dancing .

It was a wonderful sight all the girls dancing having fun, the guys admiring em and taking their girls off by holding their hand or hugging them

"if you like it then you should have put a ring on it"

All of a sudden Asad's smile faded when he say Moeez walking over to Zoya who was dancing with her entire heart and holding her hand he took her off the dance floor and handed her the rings she gave him. Zoya hugged him and with that they walked out.

Asad couldn't help it but walk over to the bar to grab some drinks, why did it matter who was with zoya, she was happy, if she wasn't she wouldn't be with moeez here.
