I am muslim and I didn't even know until now child marriages happen. What are they? How do they work? Children don't have finances or fully functional reproductive organs nor do they have the comprehension of love, commitment etc. This seems like a thing for fiction (like from books, and movies). Do such things happen in India? I know historically people are betrothed at birth or just really young, like for alliance, like Queen Mary was.
