I guess the rashid dialog was to indicate that his exit is for a long period.

I had reserved my judgement on rashid till the backstory was revealed.

Shireen rashid eye language gave me the feeling that Ayan is not rashids son. Shireen was actually grateful to rashid for having stood by her loyally.

Two things stood out-

Had missed yesterday epi n saw 2epi back to back. Brilliant acting n decent direction.
