So Good Morning my favorite ladies...
I did not make GUlab Jamuns on Saturday. It was a very lazy day.
I did make a few yesterday for the pooja, but the rest got spoilt, since i was not paying attention and put too much milk in the dough. I had a very fimly, TV moment.
Diwali was good...nothing major.

I see you guys were talking Brad Cooper and HR. I watched A-Team on Saturday and the whole time I was wondering what his name was...Well turns out to be BC. He is damn hot.

Next you talked about Indians. Let me tell you something. I have lived in the US for a long time and in close proximity of a lot of Indians and Pakis. Its amazing how they all live together as one. Also, the same Indians who are law abiding and soft spoken, have a 180 degree change in personality as soon as they breath in Indian air, including the air in the Air India plane. Its horrible. Again, talking about people born /raised in India. Kids born and raised there are a different story, but depending on their parents also have a potty mouth when talking about certain cultures and people. And no, Indians are not the only ones as bad, but we are definitely in the top 5.

Ladies all ur rangolis were very beautiful. Someday I would love to make a flower one. My masi (in US) sent pics of the one she made from paanch Dhaan (5 lentils). When I was in school, we had a rangoli competition once and since it was off season as we could not find colors, we had made rangoli with colored rice. We soaked rice in different colored water for a few hours and then roasted them dry. It was amazing.

Finally - my review of Krish.
If you like special effects and action - go watch the movie
If you like super hero stuff - go watch the movie
If you love HR , Rohit Mehra, Krishna Mehra - definitely watch the movie
If you enjoy X-Men series - avoid this movie
If you watch a lot of Hollywood super hero movies - avoid this movie

Basically, the movie is very well made for Indian standards. And I mean its awesome. But if you would cringe to see a cross of Mr X and Magneto in the form of the villian, you will not like the movie. IF like me, you watch all SFX and action hero movies, you will be listing out names of movies where you have seen a particular sequence before.

But again, not everyone is well versed with all Hollywood movies. Infact a lot of Indians, don't get the opportunity to watch them either. So this will be a treat for them. I am also surprised RR did not go for 3D with this movie. I can totally see it making lots of money that way.

Alrite- end of Rant.

Rivs

Shru - Rohit Mehra had a major role in the movie. I loved every scene with him. He reminds me the reason why I like HR the actor too.
Krishna was definitely a eye candy. So was Priyanka.
Viviek and Kangana had good roles. Infact, considering that Viviek was on a wheelchair for almost the entire movie, he emoted well. Reminds you of the Chandu from Company and Adi from Saathiya. He is a talented guy but unfortunately got bit by the Aishwarya bug.

Kangana is hot...but then she can't talk. She has improved a lot over the years, but she still needs some diction lessons. Like Ketki from QH, she too has trouble with some enunciations and it totally kills her character. Rakesh Roshan finally made up to Kangana for the way she was misused in Kites.

HR is a great actor Rivs...Guzaarish was amazing..and so was his rendition of Rohit Mehra...but I don't know why they have to borrow so heavily from Hollywood super hero movies😕

^ I get it Shru. I just have a lot more patience for BS. I guess after kids and being married for years, your patience increases by manifolds. And no my family is perfect, just some people in the periphery spout a lot of nonsense on a daily basis.

Its not borrowing to tell u the truth. There is only so much you can do with superheroes. Especially since DC comics and Marvel have done it all in print already. It like the Matrix fight sequence - it never gets old. Everyone does it when they want to do a super slow flip KWIM.
And I just recently saw the X-men movies again - hence for me it was like a revisit. I mean Maanvars and mutants are pretty similar.

I mean does it kill u to not call them maanvars...and give better names to their characters...they should be more creative in this part..a lot of superhero movies lack a soul and they are all action...and not everyone in hollywood gets it right...Man of Steel and the amazing spiderman is examples of superhero movies gone wrong...I feel only the dark night trilogy actually touched your heart...
