Yes Boss: Part 5 Asad shot yet another glare at Prasad, wiping the silly grin off his face. He'd just gone through the plan with Prasad for the millionth time, and told him quite clearly that the first step was to not look so damn gleeful. But Prasad seemed to have some serious trouble keeping to that one rule. Prasad quickly straightened up and began scrolling through his phone seriously. Both of them walked casually towards an evidently bored Dolly standing guard outside the female bathroom. Asad paused in front of her, but Prasad continued walking away.
"Miss Dolly? Aap yahan akeli kya kar rahi ho? You look so tired as well. What would you say about having a cup of coffee?" Asad asked Dolly, a small smile playing at his lips. Dolly immediately perked up, her eyelids batting repeatedly as a blush spread across her cheeks. Asad tried to keep his smile polite, completely amused at her reaction.
"Jee? Jee! Jee, of course! I mean, jee, aapki marzi," Dolly answered a little too brightly at first, and then toned down her enthusiasm when she realized how she sounded. Asad's smile faltered, as he suddenly felt terrible for messing with the poor lady's feelings. But something had to be done to distract her, and this was all he could think of. He nodded slightly at Prasad who was standing within sight intentionally. He acknowledged Asad's nod by nodding as well, pressing the call button on his phone. Right on cue, Asad's phone rang loudly.
"Hello? Jee? Kya?! Abhi? Couldn't you tell me this earlier? I've hired a bunch of morons I swear. Chalo theek hai, aata hoon," Asad turned away as he received the call, sounding positively distressed. He caught the dull look on Prasad's face when he said the word morons, and quickly pursed his lips to stop himself from laughing. He disconnected the call before turning back to Dolly, trying to look as apologetic as possible.
"I'm so incredibly sorry about this! I have some urgent work to attend to right now. But I feel horrible for leaving you in the lurch like this after offering you some much-needed coffee... Wait, I tell you what..." Asad apologized, before turning to glance at Prasad casually, behaving as though he just caught sight of him.
"Prasad! Idhar aao. Please bring Miss Dolly to the pantry and make her a cup of coffee in whichever way she prefers. Aur haan, use the Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee powder that I specially bought for my own coffee in hers okay?" Asad instructed, adding in the bit about using his personal coffee powder at the end when he realized Dolly was about to protest. Surprisingly, it worked, because he noticed the lost smile growing on her face again as soon as he said that.
Prasad nodded and smiled as politely as he could, stretching his arm out as he showed Dolly the direction to the pantry. Dolly looked unsure for a moment, but finally obliged when she caught sight of Asad nodding gently and encouraging her to go. When he'd put it so sweetly, how could she not go? Besides, Zoya was taking a really long time in the bathroom and she was getting really bored as it is.
Asad watching the retreating backs of Dolly and Prasad and then looked up shortly in silent thanks to Allah. He looked to both sides of the corridor to make sure no one was around, before taking a deep breath and pushing the female bathroom door open.
"OUCH!" Zoya squealed as Asad violently swung the door into her face. Asad immediately moved the door away and reached for Zoya, but then curled his fingers away as he decided against it. Zoya rubbed her nose exaggeratedly as she glared at Asad.
"I went through so much trouble to get your visa extended and yet all I get from you is this glare. What the hell were you doing so close to the door anyway?" Asad demanded to know, turning Zoya's look of anger into a sheepish one instead.
"Eavesdropping...? I don't actually have to use the bathroom but I didn't want to go out either, so I stood here trying to think of a plan, and then I heard your voice! So I pressed my ear against the door and heard you flirting with Dolly, and I was like what the hell! I'm stuck in a bathroom with visa troubles and there you are shamelessly flirting with some other girl..." Zoya began ranting, unable to stop the word vomit once she'd begun.
"Some other girl? You mean there is a specific girl I ought to flirt with, yet I'm flirting with another one?" Asad asked pointedly, cutting Zoya off in the middle. A knowing smile began to form on his face, as he took a step forward towards Zoya. Zoya staggered a step backward, and then immediately closed her mouth, biting her lower lip as she composed herself.
"No! As in, mujhe kya? Aapko jisse bhi flirt karna hai, please kijiye. Bijijak kijiye! Dolly se, Anu se, kissi aur se..." Zoya answered, her tone already reflecting how unsure she was about her answer, especially since it wasn't even a direct answer to his question. Asad took yet another step forward, and Zoya determinedly took one backwards, just to find her back come in contact with the wall behind her.
"Kissi aur se? Par kisse?" Asad asked in a low whisper this time, leaning his face in, dangerously close to Zoya's. Zoya held her head high, determined not to show that she was affected in any way. She kept very still and looked him in the eye bravely.
"Mujhe..." Zoya started on a reply, but couldn't think of any other words to continue her sentence. Asad pressed his palm against the wall next to her head, and Zoya swallowed nervously and looked away, suddenly finding it difficult to even maintain eye contact anymore.
"Aapse?" Asad whispered huskily into her ear as he moved his head even nearer to hers. Zoya breathed in sharply at that point, taken aback by how Asad had essentially voiced her thoughts. Was it that obvious? She turned back to him slowly, as her eyes came into contact with his intense ones again, her head poised to nod in response to his answer. But she couldn't decide... should she?
