She reaches the designated spot and waits for him... eagerly, desperately with all her hopes pinned on this one moment. He was coming to get her... to take her back home. She patiently waits for him for hours... calls him and when he doesn't answer, she goes home herself. After all that was her home and she could go there all by herself and not hesitate to barge in, no matter what the time and situation. And thats what she does. But finds that door locked. She calls up his office... only to know that Mr. Khan was busy in a meeting while she had been anxiously waiting for him all the while. She's oblivious to the situation so from her POV, he once again failed her. Shouldn't he be with her? Didn't he promise to her that he'll come for her? Was a business meeting more important than her? Didn't he feel the need to inform her? Is he not as excited as her to take her home? A whole lot of questions would have started tormenting her. He didn't come... her hopes of reuniting with him shattered all over again. And once again she felt ABANDONED!
She was hurt... Fears once again clouding her mind and where did she return to? SM... Why? Because that's where he left her and promised to return to get her... so that's where she'll wait for him... because he asked her to. Did she doubt his love for her? No! She knows he loves her but this building and rebuilding air-castles that blew away with wind everytime she thought she was near to complete it... is unnerving her. Zoya is as frustrated as we viewers are. What's wrong if she behaved like a stubborn kid and threw a small condition that too in the fit of anger and disappointment? Ever since the track started... she did what was asked or expected from her... if for the first time she threw a fit... what was so wrong in it? That fit wasn't a temper tantrum... the fit rose from deep within her where her insecurities lay... she needs to be reassured... reassured by Asad in person that he didn't leave her, that he's there by her and still needs her in his life and that she has not been abandoned by him.
Yes she could go back to New York but she has lost that power on herself... Without him, she'll die. There's no path for her but him... he's not only her companion but also her destination and without him she's lost. And if Asad can get hurt and disappointed feeling she was paying more than due attention to Ayaan, why those same insecurities haunt Zoya? The manner in which they both react is however different. Asad doesn't put his pain in words while Zoya is vocal about it... and she has the right to be angry with him and express her anger too.
This whole situation isn't resolving anytime soon is sure. But Asad will not leave Zoya's side. Tanveer is playing her final game and I have a feeling this act of hers might prove to be a key to the pandora's box. Afterall Tanveer is privy of Razia's many dark secrets.
