Some points made by GK make sense .
QH is a story of two warring families linked by the father .Both are as different as chalk from cheese . While the elders squabble the children from both families have love for each other and they all ( esp Ayaan ) look up to the eldest sibling Asad whenever they are in trouble .He is the saviour ! He on his part will do anything for them ..all they have to do is ask !
Into this rocky atmosphere in walks Zoya ..effervescent and full of fizz ...Dilshad and Nazma immediately adopt her as their own as she brings the bubbly into their rigidly disciplined home ...it takes time but she moves into Asad's heart too and captures it totally ! She has a mission of her own that connects her to the families ...though she is not aware of this as yet ( this awareness will come closer to the climax I suppose)
She had already made some links with SM by befriending Rashid and Ayaan !
With Asaya fully established...nothing can or will rip them apart ...Zoya moves into SM . She is the protagonist GK has chosen to bring the families together . Agree that Zoya had to enter SM due to circumstantial reasons and will not return to KV till she has established bonds with those she wants to link together and ultimately destroy the nexus of evil ...it is a long haul ahead for QH and us . We need to be patient ...as in real life where it may take a lifetime to achieve what you desire .
The problem I have is not with the reasoning but with the execution. To start with It was ridiculous the way Zoya ran away from her nikkah to solve a problem without sharing with Asad ! Before that too it was a bit rushed the way she was shown hurrying Nazma's nikkah through ...and Asad who is so protective of his sister succumbing to Zoya's pressure ..that was all illogical . Then the entire Muqaddar drama ..it is all too far fetched and I for one did not like a community nikkah being used the way it was !
There are many other scenes that border on the ludicrous ! Badi Bi being dragged all over the house and in captivity by Razia was sheer madness ! Tanveer is just too OTT and Haseena absolutely gross ..the butter eating scene ..was it the only way her character can be established ? Now Farhan comes in with his bag of dirty tricks ( his persona reminds me of O'Toole in Night of the Generals ..but that was brilliantly executed )
To sum up ...the plan is acceptable ...it is the presentation that hinges on the ludicrous ! And such a pity as GK has a great ensemble cast ...but the CVs definitely need to bring some finesse to the table !
