And of course, Zoya is not going to become a nun or a monk, 😆but I am sure this experience will strengthen her character...because only a woman like her can take something like this....😊

Lengthy, but intriguing post. It makes us think and draw parallels and find some sense in this nonsense track. Gul really owes you big time.😊

Coming to your post, i could relate to the Bible story, but not to the vasavadutta, definitely not with Zoya. Jealousy, hatred, anger can all be forgiven, but murder no.
The parallel to Vasavadutta could be Razia or Shireen, but not Zoya. Zoya may have flaws but she is pure.

Really wish the cvs had begun this track a little bit logically then we could appreciate all the parallels and comparisons. Instead of zoya running away, they could have shown tanveer kidnapping zoya, that would at least not make zoya look silly.
Instead of nikhat trying suicide, they couldve show the religious leaders bringing zoya and aayaan to SM without giving an opportunity to them. At least they could've avoided Asad becoming a devdas.
AND most importantly they could've firmly etched in audience mind that the nikaah is invalid.

Great Post 👏
Such a splendid story and the way u have co-related it here. It definitely pushes me to think deep and beyond. Nothing in life happens as a coincidence... there's a definite purpose to it all... a learning that never end and should never end but as u mentioned it surely is going to question and test Zoya's all beliefs and everything she has put her faith in. Its a path where the mirages from her past will be washes away... and that would free her from expectations and end her search paving way towards a future that won't be built on false hopes or illusions.

How this will be carved is something worth-watching. I agree with you that this ride is not at all going to be smooth for Zoya.

Funny you should mention this. I have always felt that Gul has used Nathaniel Hawthorne's Scarlet Letter as inspiration for the basic plot of QH, told from the viewpoint of Asad and Zoya, both offspring of parents who committed adultery. However, it now seems as though Gul is taking the theme further by attaching the scarlet letter A, to Zoya. Razia's pics and the mysteriously missing 4th wish might establish Zoya as an adulteress. The question is, will Gul make Zoya live out her life like Hester Prynne did during puritanical times or will she show her fighting her muqaddar and demand her rightful place in society?

Thanks for sharing the Vasavadutta story, always good to refresh one's knowledge of history😊

i dont want asad to just be a shoulder to cry upon but be a knight which protect his damsel in distress...

The Q is, what can he do?

Can he change the mindset of the dirty people?

Can he pluck out their tongues?

He can only curse himself, and try to bring her back from wherever Raziya sends her...

No, U didn't get me, Gita.

I was not making a parallel with Vasavadutta...just the thought...

When she was beautiful, she thought she had a lot to give Upagupta...when she was maimed and ugly in her own sight...That is when Upagupta found beauty in her...

When she least expected it...Asad will always find beauty in each and every scar on Zoya...😊

The daag may lift on its own, no one has to make it ok for Zoya...her muqaddar will do that for her...

Yes...I think he will react and retaliate in his WAY...but first he will have to help her find herself...gotta go, Lak...Thunder here...😆
