I'm all for twists and unpredictability. But where exactly is Qubool Hai going?
When this show started off, the one thing I was most excited about (besides Karan Singh Grover) was that the show had so many different story lines. There was the Asya love story, the two Khan families that according to the writers are supposed to be clashing, the factory raaz and Zoya's father. These tracks were interconnected and all so exciting.
It's been a year. So far, Asya aren't married or even together, I don't know in what world Gul thinks the two brothers are fighting bc they seem to be madly in love with each other, there's no development in terms of Rashid and Asad (which I always felt was a major part of the story), no one knows about what really happened in the factory, and we are no where near Zoya finding out Guffur is her father.
I'm not saying they had to resolve or conclude all these issues, but they didn't even tackle one. Instead they piled on an absurd Ayaan-Zoya marriage, Haseena has become the star of the show with all her screen time, and this Tanveer drama doesn't seem to end. And now, it is obvious with all this foreshadowing that the Ayaan and Zoya marriage is not ending soon. And with all this, did we really need to throw in whatever is going on with Tanveer still trying to marry Asad.
And if they always knew they were going to get Ayaan and Zoya married, then why weren't they prepared with a more logical way? How is anyone going to understand Ayaan in who madly in love with Humera, suddenly in three months fall for his brothers girlfriend? And why did they have to do it in a way that not only insults the Islamic nikaah by showing people actually get married by "mistake" and then showing imaam (who are meant to be learned in Islam) declare it valid. Also couldn't they come up with a better reason than "we have to make sure Nikhaat marries Haseena's son" they had all this time to come up with a good way to have the Ayaan-Zoya track and this is what they come up with?
On top of all this, how does Asad (who is supposedly the lead) play into this situation? I see no role for him in the show if Zoya decides to continue her marriage. Is he even a regular member of the show anymore?
Qubool Had so much potential, but even with all this "suspense" I have truly found myself disinterested and disappointed. The actors on this show are truly AMAZING...sadly that is no longer enough because nowadays even they seem disengaged and unhappy.
